Nestled near Epcot and Hollywood Studios, the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel garners mixed reviews. Guests love the hotel's vibrant atmosphere and the convenience of walking or taking a boat to nearby attractions.
However, opinions diverge on service and amenities; some commend the friendly staff and cleanliness, while others encounter housekeeping delays and question the value, pointing out high fees and the need for room updates. Despite its prime location, the hotel's offerings are sometimes seen as underwhelming for the cost.

Detailed Reviews
This is our 11th visit to Disneyworld and have always stayed on-site. Having stayed at Dolphin before we thought we would give The Swan a try.
We stayed for 7 nights. All in all there are many positives however enough negatives to make me think again about Swan/Dolphin.
Let’s start with the positives.
✅ it’s a fantastic location with Epcot and Hollywood Studios walkable along with boat options
✅ we had super help when checking in as we had just lost our toiletry bag on the travel over to the hotel and we was reassured and given a big bag of everything we needed.
✅ The pool area is very good. A very large main pool and several smaller quieter pools
✅ The chat function on the app usually worked well when you needed something from housekeeping, although it shouldn’t be needed as much as it was
✅ security resolve an issue with our ‘neighbour’ playing their TV all night, they sent up security who promptly resolved this as 4am.
Negatives
👎 housekeeping was all over the place, one day we received it about 6.30pm, the next day they came at 8am, when we asked them to come back a little later we came back at 1am to find the room hadn’t been serviced at all. We had no clean towels and had to make a request on the app the next day. Generally it felt they didn’t have enough housekeeping members of staff, additionally some days we would get water others we wouldn’t.
👎 noise. We wasn’t told there would be hotel construction when we booked the hotel, additionally we paid an extra $400 at check in to get a room with a balcony only to spend the first few days listening to hammering. Having said that noise distribution from this was minimal.
👎 at midnight one night there was a sudden loud noise outside the balcony which woke us up, it turned out it was a maintenance member of staff who was jet washing the hotel with a loud generator. It was genuinely bewildering. I was frustrated but having contacted the chat, they got security to check it out and it was stopped after about 20-25 mins. I just don’t understand how it would have happened.
👎 it’s lovely to get aircon when you enter the hotel but I don’t think I’ve ever been in a colder hotel.
👎 resort fee…. We knew about it but the price $50 a night is scandalous for the perks you get, coming from the uk where resort fees arent really a thing, we have however stayed at other Us hotel where the amenities have been good value such as redemption against cost of food/breakfast. A swan ride which we don’t want and WiFi isn’t good value.
Overall we thing we would give up the location for a more Disney feel hotel which doesn’t add on a big resort fee

Hotel's Favourite
The location can't be beat. I loved that it was walking distance to Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Disney Boardwalk, and Fantasia Golf. If you didn't feel like walking you could take the boat to all the places except Fantasia Golf. There were plenty of restaurants between the Swan, Dolphin, and Boardwalk. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. We also enjoyed the pool area. Plenty of chairs and shady spots. Just remember that you pay for parking and a resort fee when you price out the hotel.

The Swan is the smaller of the two hotels between the Swan and Dolphin resorts. My family of 3 stayed after a late arrival into the Orlando Airport. My room was ready before flight left my home airport. The Marriott app sent me my room number and gave me the option to either self park or valet. Currently self parking costs $34 and valet is $44, so for $10 more I chose valet. Note that if you arrive later in the evening, bell services and valet are operated by a single person. Since I had already checked in via the Marriott Bonvoy app, I was able to by pass the front desk and go straight to the room. I booked a standard room with 2 queen beds. The ‘heavenly” beds are very comfortable. The biggest drawback of the room and its layout was that the rooms were clearly designed for double beds and there is a small desk that doesn’t quite fit the room, so there isn’t a whole lot of extra space in the room. The bathroom/closet arrangement has a vanity and closet area outside the bathroom/tub. The bathroom is rather tiny with not much space outside the toilet and bathtub. The shower head is a rainforest head with a wand extension with decent water pressure. The entire bathroom setup was clean and serviceable. The resort amenities are nice. The shared pool is big and has an appealing setup. Beach towels are supplied and require your room key to be scanned upon pickup. The restaurants at the hotel provide a great selection and quality, however, their cost is on par or higher than other restaurants in the immediate vicinity of similar quality. In the end would I stay at this hotel again? While I do like the theming of the Walt Disney Resorts of similar classification, for the cost I I can definitely say yes.

CLEAN!!!! Friendly, professional, excellent service!!! Was able to check in early, found the room comfortable, clean, cold water bottles in fridge, two water bottles bedside, quiet except for neighbors in adjoining room. Could hear them clearly through the door. Thankfully they quieted down quickly. Sink with a closet and then the bathroom has a sink, toilet and tub shower. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash supplied in the shower in dispensers. Hand lotion at both sinks. One bathrobe for possible four people in room seemed a bit poor. Took the boat from hotel to Epcot. Remember it doesn’t go straight there, it stops at the boardwalk and one other stop before getting to Epcot which lets you off near France. Buses are available for Animal kingdom, Disney springs, and the magic kingdom. They all seem to run about every 20-30 minutes. Plenty of restaurants options between either the Swan or Dolphin hotels. A few pools to select from also. The grotto pool was our favorite. There was a DJ playing fun music from one of the bridges over the pool. Made for a great afternoon after spending the morning at one the parks before going onto another park in the evening. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Hotel with bad service. We stayed here for 3 days and in two days we did not have room cleaning or changing the towels (service for which we paid extra charge). Every day after arriving from the parks the room remains messy and NONE does anything about it. I don't indicate. Bad experience.

I'm deeply disappointed. I've been to this hotel many times before COVID and loved it. Now that we're back I'm really surprised at how much the services have changed. Yes, you still get early entry and late exit from the Disney parks but a lot has changed if you haven't been here in a few years. First, the bus services drop you off at the Disney Transportation and Ticket Center now so instead of being dropped off in front of the Magic Kingdom and walking in you have to take the Ferry or monorail to get into the Magic Kingdom (and back to the Ticket Center when going home). Second, I had a hell of a time trying to get someone to clean our room. When we checked in I was asked if I wanted my room cleaned each day and was happy that they offered this so I said "Yes!". However, after our first day only 1 of our 2 rooms was cleaned (why not both!?!). They completely skipped the second room and didn't replace the towels or clean the room. I had to call down to the front desk and none of the buttons on the room phone worked correctly. No matter which one I selected the call put us through to the "Disney Planning" services who could only transfer me to the front desk. It took a few minutes to transfer and the person who answered said they would "put in a request" for a cleaning but that's not a commitment for someone to clean our room. Third, the pillows in the room are insane hard. If you like a pillow that is 5 inches thick and doesn't give at all then this is your place. The beds are also not comfortable and our bed sunk in the middle. These all may seem like small issues (and they are) but they add up and create a really bad experience when you're paying nearly $400 a night for each room ($800 total). This hotel used to provide a "Disney experience" but it now only offers the name.

I guess if you choose to stay at a Walt Disney hotel, you may not care about things like horrible odors emanating from the bathroom, but I’m forced to be here for a convention and I do care. The odor hit me as soon as I walked in to the room. Smelled like a damp rag had been left in a closet for a year. I couldn’t identify the source without gagging. Called the manager, and if you’ve been to a Marriott, you know that takes at least four transfers to get a live person. Anjali promised prompt housekeeping, and then told me there were no rooms available for me to change (isn’t check out at 11 AM and check in at 3 PM? How could they still be cleaning for check-in at 5PM? So everyone checking in after me has to wait for a room?). Plan was to have housekeeping come and detoxify the bathroom, which had to be done no matter who stayed in this room and arrange for a room change later this evening. Fast forward 90 minutes-no housekeeping, no room update. I sat in a corner chair with nothing unpacked waiting and gagging. Another call to management with no results. I finally gave up, used all my Lysol wipes and my very expensive perfume to disinfect the bathroom as best I could. I have never cleaned another tub other than my own, let alone in a hotel. Unbelievable. If I didn’t have to stay here for this conference, I wouldn’t be here. I certainly don’t recommend anyone else stay here. And now I have to find a store to restock on wipes.

Cheap, hard, worn out mattress with coils poking me. The pillows were also so basic and cheap. No one was there to help us with bags when we arrived even though it was 3pm so that was a fun struggle unloading everything ourselves with a toddler in tow. The room didn’t have a tub, which I would have thought was standard at a hotel catering largely to families. We asked for two extra pillows since ours were paper thin and were told we could have only “one more”. Daily housekeeping would come during our toddler’s nap time so we asked if they could come earlier or later and they said no, so our room was never refreshed. Our son spilled granola and we asked if someone could at least come vacuum it and they said no, that it was too late (it was 5pm). Not enough staff at pool to assist with giving guests to weeks. Pool was also freezing cold. Just disappointing experience all around.

Mixed experience, but more good than not.
I've stayed at this hotel many times in the past 20 years, but this was my first visit in some time. The Swan maintains many features I love from prior visits: beautiful grounds and generally upscale feel. However, there were some things my family and I observed which reveals a bit of a drop off in attention...surprisingly so.
One such disappointment is the heavy smell of mold in a well-trafficked public area - on an indoor path near the central swan fountain. Quite surprised to see this go unnoticed by management. Another sign of a drop-off in care is that I noticed that staff essentially closes the lobby bathrooms overnight by placing a cleaning cart I front of the doors with the sign that it is closed for cleaning. This is the sort of unwelcoming, corner-cutting practice one might see in a smaller chain hotel, and not in an upscale property in a resort area. And then there is the resort fee. I am not complaining about the fee itself, as Westin is transparent about it at booking, and it is not an uncommon feature in some resort areas. But, one of the prime features of the fee is use of the swan boats. However, it is basically impossible to use the boats if staying one night only....they close at 5p amd open at 11a,....which means one would have to try to borrow a boat immediately upon check in (weather permitting). That fee plus the parking fee means that you are already over $80 in the hole before room expenses. Yet another complaint is that I did not receive any solicitation or survey to provide feedback about my stay. Perhaps they were afraid to ask!
Despite those couple complaints, I still do love the grounds, access to the Boardwalk area, parks, and Disney transportation, and I
will probably visit again someday.

We stayed 3 nights at Disney Swan. Check-in easy. Rooms and beds large enough for 2 adults and 2 children (11 and 7). Also had a small balcony. The room was right by the elevators, but you didn't hear anything here. Neither the elevators, nor the neighboring rooms. However, you are usually more out and about in Orlando and only to sleep in your room. The pool area of Swan/Dolphin was very nice. We were always in the pools of the Dolphin. With waterfall and slide. Hot tubs are also available. Pools are open until about 11 pm. Self parking costs $36 + tax per night. Resort Fee 45 $+ tax. The shuttle bus to Disney Magic Kingdom left at 07:45 directly in front of the hotel and took us to the ferry/train to Magic Kingdom in about 15 minutes and then back again in the evening. The shuttle then leaves every 20-30 minutes. Very practical service. You could also park your room card in the parking lots of Disney Parks for free. In the hotel there was also a cafe with a small shop where you can still stock up on food. (Sandwiches, salads, muffins...) Prices were quite ok here. On the first evening, as we arrived so late from SeaWorld, we used the room service. Here you can order online and after a short time the food was brought. Pizza and Caesar salad were delicious. Otherwise, about 15 minutes away is Walmart and various restaurants.
The Hotel Disney Swan we can definitely recommend. You can also get to Disney Park this half hour earlier - but only to Mainstreet and Disney Castle. Countries like Adventureland or Tomorrowland are locked down until 09:00. So for us, this half hour earlier was not so worth it because of the stay at a Disney Resort. The one star deduction is there, because Disney (Parks+Hotels) is in our opinion simply extremely overpriced overall. But while you're in Florida, you just have to take that experience with you. It was nice;-)

I am sorry to have ignored your question.Unfortunately I do not have an answer for you.
There is also a fee for parking.
Yes, but it was horrible when we were there. Most of the building wifi was out.
We just stayed at the swan less than a month ago. The alcove rooms are amazing with lots of space and a nice sitting area. I guess it depends on how much time you will be spending in your room.
