I've been a guest at the EO Inn 8 times during the last four years. I appreciate the excellent service and especially, the friendly and helpful front desk staff.

I look forward to escaping the cold New Jersey winter twice a year at the EO Inn. One of the main reasons that I come here is the jacuzzi.

I was very disappointed to see that the jacuzzi was removed.

I enjoyed soaking up the sun in a lounge chair and relaxing in the therapeutic jacuzzi.

Now I feel like something is missing during my stay here.
I miss the jacuzzi and lounge chairs very much.

I see that the jacuzzi was replaced with outside furniture and no lounge chairs.

Do the new managers ever think that their guests would like to soak up some warm Florida sun in a lounge chair after sitting in the jucuzzi?

I would assume so, but it's not the case since the lounge chairs are also missing.

The EO Inn used to be called a Hotel Spa, but now it's just a Hotel.

I'm sure I'm not the only guest that feels this way.

I am currently planning a two-week stay here in March. I would be very happy to see a Jacuzzi Installed at that time.

I hope the EO Inn managers will seriously reconsider the installation of a new jacuzzi with sunbathing lounge chairs soon.

A last minute booking. This was the closest available hotel to the venue where the concert I was attending was being held. The rooms were ok. It almost feels like a historic hotel that was being renovated...but only got half way there. The location was great though because there is a beautiful park right across the street and a large lake/pond that separates this area from a downtown skyscraper area. There was also a very large playground that kids would love. There’s a couple public balconies which were pretty cool. Free bottled water was a nice touch.

The hotel came recommended by a friend who schedules business clients there. I was intrigued when I got the text about using the Open Key app, and it was easy to sign in to get access but then the hotel had a problem with the service and I couldnt use it to get in. However, it was all good because they called me to explain and left me a real key to get in so all was well that ended well. The parking was a bit crowded and not really enough spaces but again, there was a spot by the fence and it did work. Loved the way they had the room set up with the 2 beds on opposite walls. It was a wonderful size, and it did kind of make me wish we had time to enjoy the balcony and the nice open air deck. Plus there was a brewery next door I had wanted to go to.

But, there were a couple issues with the room. I did send a message to the hotel, hoping they would contact me with regards; I had said i didnt want to leave a bad review, but then I got a request to do this review so perhaps saying it here will get their attention to fix it. The door of the bathroom did not shut. We tried several things and none worked. it might have been a bigger deal to a different set of people. The sink was also not quite right. The way the sink and faucet are positioned, there is absolutely NO way for the water to remain IN the sink. When you wash your hands, the water goes all on to the counter and then off onto the floor. The a/c was on one side of the room and the other side didnt quite stay cool enough during the night. The checkout process was odd...no one was at the front desk and the cleaning staff didnt speak English (they were the only ones around). It appeared we were supposed to sign a sheet that said "early checkout" which we found weird cause it was 10am; actual checkout time was 11, but at most hotels just because you leave before 11 it isnt considered "early." A lot of people might also have a problem with the street traffic noise (wasn't a huge deal for us, but it was still pretty loud at 1am. Then on a Saturday morning at 8am some fool was outside mowing or cutting hedges or something. That may not be the hotel's fault, but was not the way we wanted to wake up. None of these are game changers really, and as long as their rates weren't any higher than what I paid, I would still stay there again. I do feel in light of the things wrong with the room, the price I paid was a little much, but should they fix these things, then it would be alright.

I rated this property poorly only because of the cons I have listed.

Pros :

1.great location
2.very clean
3. Comfortable bed
4.updated bathrooms.

Cons:
1. Management
2, small rooms

We had reserved a room with a queen bed and a balcony . But they placed us in a room with a king bed and no balcony. When we arrived at6pm on a Thursday, they stated we are too late and all the rooms with balcony are gone. The person who worked at the desk said " I only work here I can't help you". She texted the manger, Jennifer , who never even bothered to call back or at the least apologize for the mixed up. Despite having clear reservation papers that stated we have reserved a room with balcony, no one even bothered to care or at least change the price of our room that was so so very small with no balcony. We had already paid the full price to Expedia. If only someone had called back or contacted me to explain why the mixup I would not have been as unhappy. 6pm on a Thursday night was considered late check in and all rooms were occupied.

Problem 2: they did not know how to activate our OpenKey app I had downloaded based on their instructions. The app said as soon as your room is ready your key will be activated. We spent a long time on both my husband and my phone trying to see if it can work. But the conclusion was that the hotel had not activated the room Key and the person behind the desk had no idea how to do that. because once again, "I only work here and I cant help you." They could only give us one key card and it was hard managing who goes out and when we come back. They were all out of key cards and they had ordered more. Maybe they will have them soon. It was not pleasant having to share one.

Problem 3. A maid knocked and despite we saying “who is it?”opened our door, walked right into our room looking at us in bed at 9am on the day of our departure.

I realize things come and go but I was disappointed about my stay with Eo Inn. I have stayed here several times and it was always a great stay. You can blame all you want on Covid but that is not a reason to take away the coffee machine and front desk person. The hot tub was also gone. In the past I dealt with the airplane lavatory sized sink but this just isn't acceptable for no one to be at the front the entire stay and no way to get another key in case you get locked out. The number they have posted forwards to somewhere and they don't call you back. I guess you are homeless on the streets if you can't get ahold of someone.

They did re-open the restaurant downstairs that is a brewery which is nice. The location could not be better so it is a great place to stay if you want to experience lake eola just do not expect much anymore.

I normally don't write reviews let alone negative ones, but this was the worst experience I've ever had and I've worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years. First of all I booked a room about a month in advance of my stay, everything was fine til the day I was supposed to check in. I was driving from Miami to Orlando (about 4 hour drive) I was even able to check in using my phone which was great, I was an hour away from arriving to the hotel when I received a voicemail from Jennifer(General Manager) who said a pipe burst in my room and no other rooms were available so they had to cancel my reservation, I called them back and spoke with Kimberly who seemed really delighted about the situation and offered me no other help then "there are a lot of hotels in the area" and a phone number to expedia.

I asked about a refund since they had already billed me for the room and Jennifer stated they had already initiated the refund and that I should receive it in a couple of days, after 2 WEEKS and several calls with Jennifer I still did not receive a refund and had to call my bank to receive my money. Completely ruined my trip as i had to book a new room in short notice near the same area at a much higher rate.

As someone who worked in one of the top hotels in the world, I can understand things happen in which we have no control but the way the staff handled the situation was terrible, the lack of empathy was audacious and I can not recommend this experience to anyone.

Kim at the front desk was excellen! We left our parking pass in our room twice and she didn't make us run up there and get it again. There was fresh cold brew made in the lobby and they were very accommodating to everything that we needed. I can't say enough nice things about Kim! Her attitude was excellent and treated us like we were family.

It was our anniversary and due to covid our travel restrictions were limited. I thought a surprise staycation would be great. This hotel touts itself as a boutique hotel. In all honesty it is dated and in great need of renovation. Specifically not mentioned is that is is above a bar/brewery who’s hours are 8a-12a nightly. This means we listened to bass thumping, ground shaking music for almost all of our stay. We were up late so the night music wasn’t terrible. However, at 730 am the music below us would start again and it was terribly annoying. Shame in the owners of this establishment did not disclosing that this hotel sits above a bar. We also paid extra for a balcony ‘overlooking lake Eola ‘ which was no more than a semi private balcony looking at a huge tree and the patrons of the bar below us. Everything is outdated. My girlfriend didn’t even want to walk around the room barefoot. Extremely disappointed and will never return.

Gosh, I really wanted to like this place. Great location right on beautiful Lake Eola. I’m an Orlando native and had to come back to Orlando for one night so thought I’d stay here rather than a chain hotel. HOWEVER….it was actually a little creepy…from the moment I walked into the empty lobby (they use OpenKey app), and went up in empty elevator to my room, I NEVER saw another human (other than the person who came to help open the door to balcony because the deadbolt was broken).
The room itself was very unpleasing...felt like I was in an old dorm room. Deadbolts on both doors (room and door to balcony) were not working, light bulbs out, toilet had issues flushing, bed was too low, bed linens were low quality and scratchy, mattress was uncomfortable, and there wasn’t even a comforter on the bed. Overall very uncomfortable stay.

Common areas were very cute, but IMO more attention and cost should be put into the comfort of the actual rooms.

I did have to call a couple times with questions on how to turn on the TV (3 remotes…maybe time to upgrade that?:)) and the light bulbs being out, and the voice on the phone was very nice. And I totally get safety for COVID but the whole vibe of not seeing anyone from the hotel felt like literally the opposite of "hospitality".

So sorry this wasn’t a great experience since the location is amazing.
