This hotel is beautiful! We loved the theme and the location. It has also been recently renovated and the rooms are beautiful. We couldn't get over the size of the room. Huge!

We checked into the hotel in the morning and our room was not ready (we knew it wouldn't be). The check-in process was easy. The cast members no longer stand behind the desk, but come out to you with an ipad to check you in. I think it is supposed to make you feel more welcome and forge a connection, but it was a bit weird. Once we checked-in we handed off our luggage to bell services and headed to Epcot.

Stopped at the Boardwalk Deli on the way to Epcot for some breakfast. Quick walk to Epcot. You really can't beat the location with its proximity to Epcot & Hollywood Studios. We also enjoyed taking a boat back to the hotel at the end of the day. For some reason it feels much more relaxing than the bus.

I got a message in the early afternoon that our room was ready so we headed back. Once we got to our room I tried to call bell services for our luggage, but no matter which button I pressed on the phone (bell services, housekeeping, customer service) I kept getting a recorded message about reaching "AP Lost & Found" and that it was closed. So I walked back down to the lobby and asked bell services for our luggage. I also explained the weird phone. He just "hmmm sorry about that." I headed back to our room and our luggage was brought up very quickly. I tried using the phone later in the week to request blankets and the same thing happened no matter what I pressed. I went down to the front desk and requested blankets & told them about the phone. Same kind of "hmm sorry about that" response. Definitely a known problem with the room phones, which was kind of annoying.

The room itself was beautiful! Huge, clean, comfortable, with a great balcony overlooking the boardwalk & lake. We loved it! My only complaint would be the lack of a desk. If you needed to get work done you had to sit on the bed or the couch (no coffee table or ottoman either). The room is definitely large enough for a desk so its strange that there isn't one.

The beds were very comfortable and pillows were great. Liked the bathroom layout with the 2 sinks. Great shower pressure.

The hotel itself is pretty, very clean and smells wonderful. We really liked the overall theme.

I know some people complain about the lack of quick service food options. This wasn't really an issue for us. We tend to eat in the parks. I'm not sure why there isn't a refillable mug station in the hotel though. They could put one at the Belle Vue Lounge, or outside of Carousel Coffee. Currently I think your mug refill options are: Boardwalk Deli, the Pizza Window and at the pool. All of these options involve you going outside. Not a big deal except if its raining.

We really enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be back in the future!

Pros:
1. The location, within easy walking distance of Epcot and Hollywood Studios, cannot be beat.
2. The rooms and common areas are in excellent shape, although they have not been renovated as recently as some other resorts. The staff obviously maintains the rooms very well.
3. The staff is friendly, and the housekeepers in particular do an excellent job.
4. The resort’s ambiance is playful and elegant, which is a difficult balance to achieve.
5. The Boardwalk area has numerous restaurants and entertainment options.

Cons:
1. For most food and drink options, you must walk outside. On nice days, that isn’t a problem. But when weather is inclement or you’re under a time crunch, it is inconvenient.
2. Some rooms can be very noisy, in particular ones that overlook the Village Green, are directly over the resort bar, or are near the elevator.

The resort’s pros vastly outweigh the cons, so it’s always one of our top choices.

I found this hotel to be filled with peaks and valleys of service. Checking-in was a marathon event for the couple who traveled with me while my room was ready within an hour of my arrival. I payed for an upgraded room - not sure if that was the difference. The hotel was clean (peak) but the crew was completely unaware of noise that they made prepping and cleaning (valley). Just how many times to you have to slam a door in 10 minutes. Overall, i came away with a better than average experience;however, i felt that the price differential between this and the Contemporary was not worth the compromise.

The Boardwalk resort is one of Disney's deluxe hotels and it lives up to the designation in every aspect except for housekeeping. Our stay was for 4 nights, and on 2 occasions we received no housekeeping services by 5 p.m. After our 1 st complaint our room was supplied with fresh towels and beds made at 7 p.m., nothing else. No clean cups, glasses or the replacement of room amenities. After the 2nd occasion of not receiving housekeeping services, Tatiana at the front desk made sure we finally got clean cups, glasses, and room amenities replaced, which also took place after 6 p.m. She went above and beyond to find out why our room wasn't being serviced and remedied the situation. One would think that with the spread of the Coronavirus, housekeeping and cleaning would be a major focus of this hotel to insure the safety of their guests.
We still had a fantastic time at the parks. This hotel's location was very convenient, and our room views were outstanding.

We stayed at the Boardwalk for 8 nights and had a wonderful experience. The proximity to both Hollywood Studios and Epcot allowed us to walk to both parks and get in line ahead of the buses and boats. Our room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. The atmosphere around the Boardwalk makes you feel like you are always a part of the action. Walking around the Boardwalk to the Yacht and Beach Club was also a nice way to start the day when not running off to a park. We enjoyed the bakery and pizza at the Boardwalk.
We did encounter an unfortunate incident one evening where we needed to call the front desk. The incident was not related to the hotel or hotel staff and within minutes the appropriate personnel from the hotel were at our door. We had a discussion and everyone left on good terms. Craig (I believe was his name) was very understanding and apologetic and we felt that the situation was handled appropriately.
The next day we were walking throught the lobby and a gentleman asked us how we were doing and how our stay was going. We told him things were okay and once he heard that he inquired further as to our hesistation. Once we mentioned to him our incident from the night prior, he quickly rattled off our room number and knew all the details of the incident. Raf, the manager, totally made us feel comfortable, treated us a valued customer and reaffirmed to us his committment to ensure our stay would be great. He phoned us later that evening as a follow up. We wish we could have run into him again to let him know how much we appreciated his kindness toward us. It would be great for training managers to learn from someone like Raf on how to communicate and interact with customers. We are appreciative of the efforts Raf took to ensure we had a great holiday.

Ahoy, there! Thank you for dropping anchor with us at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn for more than a week of seafaring adventures. It sounds like this locale was the perfect fit for your family’s vacation needs, thanks to its layout and proximity to not one, but two of our Parks. Though I’m terribly sorry to see you faced any kind of challenges, I’m pleased Craig and Raf were both there to get your stay back on track. It’s great they made you feel the situation was appropriately addressed and even further, comfortable throughout the rest of your stay. I have made sure to forward your words of thanks to their Leadership teams in order to make sure they’re properly commended for the assistance they provided you. We “shore” hope you’ll come on back again. Emma Disney Social Reviews

We haven’t had a trip to Disney World in 9 years when we decided this year to go for Mardi Gras break. My husband has always wanted to stay at the Boardwalk so we thought this would be the perfect time. We had both our kids with us, ages 9 and 14, and we got one room for the 4 of us. While it is probably the last time we can all squeeze into one room there really wasn’t a space problem. Our daughter snapped up the twin bed in the sofa and was comfortable all week..and she is really tall and still has space. The 3 of us split the two queen beds comfortably. The room had a nice, quiet, view of the garden area. We absolutely loved this resort. The look and feel of the place was so great and the amenities gave us freedom to come and go as we pleased. My husband and I ate dinner at the Italian restaurant one night while the kids played around the resort and got dinner on their own (which is where those bands come in real handy for them). There were things going on at the Boardwalk every night from movies on the lawn for the kids to performers just outside all the stores. Having the general store and a choice of restaurants right within walking distance gave us options outside of eating at the parks. One big perk is the ability to walk right to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It is a short walk either left or right to one of the parks and we really enjoyed the ability to walk back and forth without having to wait for transportation. We did take the boat one time and it was a fun ride but not necessary unless you just can’t walk one more step! The staff was so pleasant and able to answer the few questions we had. The bar was great for a drink and we ended up using the laundry facilities twice. One thing we did notice is that even though there are a lot of children around (after all it is Disney), it never felt like it. Unlike the time we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, we found the Boardwalk a quieter option, not really noticing kids yelling and being loud. Could be the time of year or it could just be that having more outdoor space lessens the noise.

Overall I would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for something relaxing and very unique. Our kids asked us on day 2 if we could make this our hotel the next time we go back. We definitely will.

I was fortunate to spend four incredible days and nights at the Boardwalk Inn while in Disney World for the 2020 runDisney. The hotel is located between Epcot and Hollywood Studios and fairly easily walkable to both parks. If you’re not interested in walking, you can take the ferry to Epcot or bus to any park or DW resort. There are several restaurants and bars easily accessible to the hotel, and the views are beautiful. We were on the 5th floor overlooking the boardwalk and could see the nightly fireworks show from our deck and one bedroom. If you have a large group, I highly recommend the 3 bedroom suite which is amazingly large and well-appointed. Each bedroom has its own bath and there’s loads of room in the kitchen, dining and living rooms for at least 10 people. They provide pack and plays, high chairs, and a fully appointed kitchen. There are two pools and plenty of fun activities for the kids.

Ive stayed in now 3 other Disney more budget resorts and now as a DVC member, I have upgraded to my home resort the Boardwalk which was my first time staying here and I was loving it. First off you cannot beat the proximity to the two most popular parks, 10 minute walk to Hollywood studios on a well lit waterside path and 5 minutes to the back gate of Epcot.

This sits smack in the middle of the boardwalk area and takes up the entire side and is quite a large resort with two pools, one very large with a long fast waterslide and one with a more adult side square concept. There is a very large gym with all the latest equipment and there is also a small arcade with maybe 5 games, not the greatest, although they have a community room which we discovered near the adult pool, with a few video games that are free, air hockey, ping pong and two PS4 systems plus arts and crafts. There is no restaurant or stores in this inn, with the exception of a small lounge with a bar and a tiny store with a few souvenirs. Other than that, all of your restaurants and stores for this Inn are located on the Boardwalk itself which seemed odd. There was some serious construction going on at the front of this resort, replacing the walkways and a lot of the front was closed off and the paint smells or whatever were horrible.

The staff is of course helpful, the lobby here is quite a bit smaller than most resorts but a really cool concept, all 1930s style shore and Atlantic city decor which was cool. The front part is busy with baggage handling and almost looked too small to handle the flow of customers. The bus and transportation situation here is very tough, not many buses on a frequent basis and I was surprised having to wait over 30 minutes at times to and from the parks for a bus. However it might be due to staff shortages and also the proximity to the other parks but still it was annoying. The rooms here, at least for DVC were awesome, quite large, tasteful and set up nicely, although housekeeping is every fourth day, it was enough and plenty of towels and trash emptying etc. I have to say if you have a room farther down the hall at this resort and not close to an exit or elevator be prepared to walk long corridors...this place is quite large and the hallways are really long. Other than that, no complaints, a great place to stay and we had a blast.

We were just at Disney's Boardwalk Inn from 2/6-2/9/2020. Me and my wife stayed in a room on the 5th floor/Garden view; had 2 queen beds and a pullout. Only needed/used the 1 queen bed. Double sink sat outside the bathroom which had a toilet and shower/tub. Shower had GREAT water pressure. Hotel and rooms were kept spotless. LOVED the location – hate waiting for buses, and being able to walk to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios was awesome. Room had a Keurig machine in it and hotel provides regular & decaf coffee and regular tea – could have used decaf tea too. Loved being so close to the Boardwalk and all the shops and activities. Despite being close to the Boardwalk and all the shops and activities – the room was very quiet; we slept well. Bonus was that we could watch the Epcot fireworks from our bed. I think I’ve found my newest Disney favorite Hope to be back

We splurged for our 30th anniversary and booked a garden view room at the Boardwalk Inn. Somehow we were upgraded to a garden suite! It was in a cottage, in a very quiet part of the resort. The bed was very comfortable. There were cute hidden Mickeys throughout the room, and special Disney touches in the decor and furniture. It was great to have a refrigerator and microwave so we were able to heat up something for breakfast before leaving for our early morning at Hollywood Studios. There was a nice big tub and plenty of little soaps and lotions. ( I was glad to see there wasn't just a soap dispenser in the shower.) There were 1 1/2 baths, which was great also! Housekeeping did a great job. I did hear the garbage truck one morning, but it wasn't too bad.

Every cast member we encountered was wonderful, especially Gladys, who was a concierge. We even had a maintenance man walk us back to our room when we couldn't find our way from the pool.
Speaking of the pool, the Coaster clown slide was a lot of fun. The pool itself was a lot quieter than most main pools I've seen at other Disney resorts.

The Boardwalk is a beautiful resort with interesting touches in the public areas. Everything was clean and kept up well. It was so nice to be able to see the fireworks from the porch rockers, and to walk right out to the restaurants and entertainment on the boardwalk, and to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

I have no complaints about this resort and I hope to be able to stay here again some day.

With so much to see and do both here and at other nearby Parks and Resorts, I can’t think of a better place to rest and recharge. In addition, I’m thrilled your surprise upgrade to a Garden Room could help make your visit even more memorable. It sounds like your experience was also magical from beginning to end with the help of our wonderful Cast Members. As noted it's a 20 min walk - significantly longer than Contemp to MK (at least double in distance but no road crossing). The boats are best at peak times to get back as they run a little more often, even with stops its a more direct route (there are only 2 other stops, Y/B and S/D. Skyliner is better off peak - you do need to change lines. Also not recommended during very high temps. Note that late in the day the boats start at Epcot and are sometimes more heavily loaded (if you were doing a late run just to see Fantasmic or its a late hours nite at HS)

Yes and we used it a few times. It was great for getting milk for the kids we could keep in the room fridge, ice cream snacks, the bakery treats are good and it is connected to the gift shop.
