Ocean Sands Beach Club. Each condo at this resort has a private entrance unlike OTHER properties which expose you to elevators, hallways and crowded stairwells. Oceanfront poolside gazebo w/WiFi throughout the property. Towel service, 7 days a week staff on site, monthly rocket launches and nesting sea turtles are on site. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Ocean Sands. The resort is in a great location right on the beach in the middle of New Smyrna Beach. My only negatives with the resort were with the outside maintenance of the common areas. It looked as if the grass had been mowed right before we arrived. However the grassy areas underneath and next to stairs had not been weed whacked and were never cleared in the week we were there. Not up to Gold Crown Standards in my book. The other negative to us is that the resort allows smoking on balcony's, porches, around the pool and any other area on the resort except the room. Being a non smoker with Asthma, this is a totally unacceptable situation for me. I accept full responsibility for not checking this before I arrived. I do though wish to make it know to others who might be in a similar health situation as me.

Ocean Sands Beach Club is a lovely, well kept small resort located directly on the ocean. It used to be called New Smyrna Waves. It is the same place.
The rooms are quiet, private, clean and comfortable. The buildings have 2 stories and all the rooms have some ocean view. Facing the ocean is a lovely pool with a hot tub. There are lounge chairs around the pool and a gazebo for shade. Parking is ample. Rooms have two bedrooms and two full baths. TVs with full cable are in the main room and both bedrooms. A small full kitchen is provided.
The location is a short ride to a Publix shopping center and 4 miles to Flagler Street which offers many artsy shops. Canaveral National Seashore is about 7 miles in the other direction. It offers many beautiful beaches, hiking, biking and boat ramps.

I was told that this was a oceanfront location; all pictures on the Internet seemed to confirm that claim. Even when I called, I was told that the buildings were oceanfront. But when I arrived, I had only a VIEW of the other two buildings that are ocean front (circled in blue on the photo). I can’t even HEAR the ocean because this building (circled in red) is close to the busy street.

Not all units have ocean views but you're right on the beach. Units sleep 6 but it would be tight for 6 adults. The pool area is somewhat small. The week we were there people went out early and put their towels on the chairs. We spent most of our time on the beach. You can walk forever. For restaurants I'd recommend The Garlic, The Treehouse and The Breakers.

We booked this trip so that we could go to the Jeep Beach event in Daytona and we had no idea what to expect. We had never heard of this property so we were going with lower expectations. Boy were we pleasantly surprised! The property was clean, quiet, and very comfortable! We were close enough to the beach (no beach view but that was ok!)...just a 2-3 minute walk. The pool and hot tub area was nice. There were quite a few very nice restaurants nearby. There were grocery stores close by as well. We wanted to drive our Jeep on the beach and there are a few beach access points near the property too. We were only a few minutes south of Flagler, the main street downtown. Some family joined us for a few days and they very much enjoyed the property was well. We would definitely stay here again. One downside was the bed! They could use an upgrade to something a bit more comfortable.

Clean and friendly staff and facility just off the beach. Easy access to the beach pool was the perfect size. Rooms were great and airy updated need to change Rci pictures online they are outdated. Glad I went to the website to look at the resort

The resort is not too big and the rooms are large. It is near a lot of stuff to do or you could not leave and have a great time. The units have everything you need to cook for the whole week if you want to do that also.
Just a very relaxing place to spend time with your family either by the pool or down on the beach. We had a wonderful time.

The rooms are nice and clean, right on the beach, and the pool is good.
The best is their Manager Beverley when we had a major problem with the booking she
made sure we were taken care of. We rented bikes for the week to get around. Good Location.

The resort was right on the water. There is also a hot tub and swimming pool. The location was perfect. Unit was spacious and very clean. We enjoyed our stay, and look forward to returning. There are great places to eat that are close by, and grocery stores are also very close.

There were no pool toys when we were there.
I suggest you visit around Oct-Nov when the kids are in school. We just returned and they were mostly seniors. You will need a car but the driving was easy and not a lot of traffic. At Ocean Sands some units are on 2nd floor and there is no elevator. Most units only have a partial view of ocean. If you don't go in spring you won't get the spring break crowd.
the parking lots are not very big, I would call ahead and talk with them at the onsite office. The ladies in the office are very friendly and accommodating there. Make sure you call the onsite office, not exploria.
