We stayed at the Buena Vista in September and had a wonderful time! The room was clean and the kitchenette had all that we needed. The courtyard was a peaceful place that I relaxed and a read a book. The back door opened to a view of the intercoastal and park. We were able to bring my older dog which was important because I will not go on vacation without her. We were able to walk her in the park. My husband was able to grab his fishing poles and walk to the fishing pier within the adjacent park. Kathy and Brett are kind and helpful. Just wonderful and relaxing!

We just stayed here for the first time and were really impressed with how clean an comfortable the accomodations were. They thought of everything one might need (right down to having nice toilet paper lol). The fact that they are pet friendly and didn't charge an exorbitant amount for our dog was a huge plus!! The location is wonderful and a fairly easy walk to shops & restaurants. Brett was very nice and checked to see if we needed anything. If/when we get back to the area, we will definitely stay here again.

Our favorite place to stay. This pet-friendly kitschy classic is right next to a park on the river. The staff worked with us on our last minute changes, and what could have been a disaster was a wonderful trip. Walking the dog was a pleasure. We made regular trips to The Mason Bar across the street for smoothies for the humans and natural peanut butter scoops for the dog. Always hard to leave after such a great vacation.

We had heard of the Buena Vista Inn from friends. It still exceeded our expectations. It has the charm of New Smyrna, laid back, historic and charming. We loved the private patio area, fountain, tables, lounge chairs and the beautiful landscaping of palms, succulents and tropical plants. The Dolphin was clean, fresh and comfortable. Kathy and Brett are wonderful hosts.

Great little place with charming rooms. Very, Very clean, great location just minutes from the beach. The place is very quiet, easy parking & also a short walk to a great breakfast place (Wake Up Cafe). The rooms are furnished with everything you need with a 1950's retro feel. I will stay again when I am in the area.

I stayed here for 5 days in January of 2024, as I was attending a painting class. I love this little Boutique gem. When I arrived, I pulled up to the lovely well it front, and it was a whopping three steps to my front door :-) as I entered my room they were very clear instructions as far as how the facility ran, Wi-Fi password, etc. It was also a fresh wrapped chocolate chip cookie there as part of the welcome, and since I had a long day it was perfect. The owner Brett is a wonderful host. I had a very clean room with a lovely kitchenette, it was a no hassle stay start to finish. It's a very quiet location, with close proximity to restaurants and the beach. It actually backs up to the Intercoastal Waterway. I would highly recommend this place if you are a traveler who enjoys a quiet, charming, beautiful and restful evenings stay. I suggest you book in advance as I did since they book up fast.

We recently spent the weekend at Buena Vista Inn. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Nothing like walking to the river to watch the dolphins. It's a short drive to the beach. Owners are fantastic! We've stayed here in the past and will definitely be back!

Buena Vista Inn is one of the cutest places I’ve ever stayed ! Really loved it . Super close to town , right next to the river and lots of things to do . It’s got old Florida charm . Will stay again for sure !

The owner is very rude. The rooms smell like a diaper pail that has been in the sun all day. Since my dad has COPD we did not want him staying in a room with poor air quality. The owner refused to let us out of the second night's stay. Although she was paid the full amount she continued to crab about how we ruined her day and that this never happens. Well after reading some TripAdvisor history it has happened. Additionally the linens were yellowed and the comforter has not been replaced for decades. The carpet was stained and there were dead cockroaches right outside our door.

This women did not stay w/ us. Her parents were a late arrival and did not show and daughter cancelled for the next night. If the room were re-rented we would issuse a credit. The daughter was to call on Monday, instead she emailed that bad reviews were posted by her. Please look @ our webb sites, my husband and I believe it speaks for itself. Best, Kathy and Bob, owners

I would never recommend staying in this inn because of the rudenss of the owners. It's hard to believe a small business can survive with such poor customer service. Rooms stink, air conditioning units contributed to health issues.

Hi, Dogs are not allowed on the drive-on beach, in New Smyrna. However, there is a doggy beach, on the northwest side. Its called Smyrna Dunes Park. They charge you a day pass, like the drive-on beach. It's at the end of North Peninsula Ave, before the coast guard station, turn right and there should be a small hut in which you can pay. It's a fun beach.
There are more places to choose from in the New Smyrna Beach area.
