Nestled in a happening spot, Moxy Miami South Beach garners accolades for its vibrant atmosphere and cleanliness, with reviewers consistently noting the spotless conditions. The location earns praise for its beach and nightlife access, although the bustling club scene nearby isn't for everyone. While the modern rooms are celebrated for their tidiness, some guests have called out their limited size and storage. The hotel's amenities, including pools with ocean views and a rooftop bar, are popular, but the extra charges for beachside comforts have been a point of contention for value-conscious travelers. Service quality appears to fluctuate, with reports of both commendable and disappointing encounters.

The Moxy is the new kid on the block but don’t be confused because this is no amateur hotel. No detail was overlooked or left out, every detail was thought about. The South Beach experience starts as soon as you open the front door to the hotel. The hotel is a mix of Latin + modern industrial + super trendy vibes. The lobby has a round bar with plenty of seating, not to mention the outdoor lounge space beside the bar. The bar menu is contactless - there are QR code’s at each seat to scan on your phone to view the menu. It was also super cool that the bartender used fresh mint in my drink that he tore right off the plant!!
Off the lobby are several food options. There’s breakfast served a la carte (fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, juice, water, coffee) .
During breakfast hours, the lobby also serves complimentary La Colombe coffee.

When you check in, the staff were friendly, eager to assist and excited to be part of this new hotel opening. It was evident that they are taking a lot of pride in their work.
The rooms are tidy, clean and very modern + industrial vibe- Loved the feel! A nice touch was the hand sanitizing wipes that I could take to go during my day out. Under the foot of the bed you can find a safe and shelves for safekeeping personal items, clothes, etc...
The bed and pillows were super comfortable, the TV had a great picture with a large variety of channels. The room comes with a large bathroom and very large shower with a rain shower head with really nice water pressure.

The pool- again super trendy! Plenty of comfortable pool chairs with pillows and umbrellas.there are also cabanas for rent. They have really nice pool music playing all day. You can find several outlets by the pool for all of those “working from home” folks seen using their laptops at the pool.
A unique feature is the pool floor has a large round glass window which looks down into the lobby.

There’s a rooftop area has plenty of seats including little alcoves that give your group of friends privacy. There’s a great view of the beach and nice bar service as well there is a pool

The beach is just two short blocks away where you can find the moxy hotel beach stand where you can grab a chair umbrella and towel

The lobby staff can also arrange for you to reserve (FOR FREE) a classy pink Moxy cruiser bike. The bike comes with a helmet and bike lock.

The hotel has plenty of hand sanitizer stations located throughout and all staff were properly wearing masks at all times.
as wand staff wearing masks in mass proper with proper mask wearing now enforced by staff
This hotel is THE hotel to stay in. Make your reservation before the secret gets out!!!

Went to Miami’s South beach for a romantic getaway with my wife and she booked a stay at a new hotel (for us) in Washington Street.
This Moxy hotel is located between 8 and 9 street, two blocks away from the Ocean Drive and the beach. Rooms are on the small side, but have everything you need, including an amazing rain forest type shower with incredible water pressure.
The bed and pillows were very good.
We visited the rooftop area and sat while sipping a cold beer.
For our dinner, we booked a table at Serena, a very picturesque open terrace restaurant, located in the second floor, near the pool. The food and the attention were extraordinary and we recommend this place very much.
The hotel has a bar in the lobby, although we didn’t sample it.
The service and attention was spot on, we had a great time and will repeat for sure.

If you're planning a visit to Miami Beach anytime soon, I highly recommend this property. My visit to Miami was for family but I wanted to stay at a place where I could also enjoy my time on the beach without the whole hassle of staying at a large resort. The arrival experience was quick and easy but what really did it for me was the interior design and layout of the lobby! So many fun colors with the decorations and furniture which made the experience very "instagram-able". There is a nice hotel lobby bar if you can't wait to get your vacation started. The rooms were thoughtfully crafted to meet basic needs (loved the shower) and I really spent most of my time either at the pool, restaurant, and of course the beach (only a 5 min walk). My favorite spot was the roof top bar with a view of the beach, a smaller pool, and plenty of lounge seating. Throughout the stay the staff was extremely attentive and I could see that they lived up to their covid cleaning standards. 10/10 would come back and recommend to anyone interested in visiting Miami Beach.

This is my last day of a five night stay and everything was fantastic at Moxy. First time staying at one. The staff was very helpful and friendly, always with a hello and a smile from the front desk staff to the bar and pool staff and the housecleaning staff. Caroline and Carla at the front desk checked us in and offered a glass of Prosecco because we had to wait a few minutes (less than five) for our upgraded ocean view room on the top floor to be ready. Throughout the week they greeted us with a smile and asked if everything was ok. Kanny helped me with the free bikes and I rode for more than three hours on the paved oceanside boardwalk.

The room reminded me of a cruise ship cabin just without the dresser. But I knew what to expect and packed accordingly. My clothes on hangers fit well on the horizontal poles in the room and they were always visible for me to see what I wanted to wear. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the bathroom and shower areas were more than adequate. Housekeeping was available daily. The rooftop was a great place to relax in the mornings or evenings. The main pool was very inviting and the water was a nice warm 84.

The walk to the beach was quick and the two chairs that are provided as part of the resort fee were appreciated. Umbrellas are available for $20 a day.

I did not try any of the restaurants on the hotel but they all looked nice.

We live in Miami and go to the beach often, usually a few blocks to the south. But what a nice getaway to wake up and see the ocean and be able to walk to it in less than 15 minutes. And the Moxy hotel gave us a perfect mini vacation. We would not hesitate to return.

PS you don’t need all those clothes in that big suitcase. You’ll be in your bathing suits most days.

I stayed at the Moxy for 3 nights early this week. I love this hotel. The rooms were smaller than most hotel rooms, but was the perfect size for us. They have a rack on the wall that was perfect to hang your clothes. There was also spaces under the beds. Another unique thing about the room is that they provide steamers rather than irons. The beds were super comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. There was plenty of space for all your stuff by the sink. The shower was big, loved the glass in the shower to add additional light. The staff was all very nice and attentive. They were very friendly and greeted you like they were your friend when you walked by The outdoor space is better than any other hotel that I have stayed at in Miami. There was so much vegetation that you forgot you were in downtown Miami. The pools were very nice. The rooftop was so quiet and relaxing. The view was beautiful. The location is in the heart of downtown. So much to do in the area. Lots of great restaurants. This is my new Go To hotel in South Beach. Perfect mini vacation

Stayed here for a week right after they opened and did not have a good experience.
The entrance of the hotel is through an alley and depending on which side you enter you’d have walk past dumpsters.
The check-in experience is like waiting at immigration once 10 flights land at once. They have 2 check in counters and even if you use your app, you’ll have to wait in line for a looooong to line to get your keys. Then you get to your room. I wish they gave everyone a potion at check in - like Alice in Wonderland to become tiny so you can fit in that room. The rooms are the worst part of your stay. They are horribly small, no place to keep your bag, no chair, nothing. Just a bed and a shower. The room we had was on the 6th floor overlooking the restaurant Serena. The hotel has zero sound insulation and the music from then restaurant and the pool will keep you awake all night. It’s as if the hotel goes out of its way to make things uncomfortable for its guests. If you call the front desk to complain, there isn’t anyone who will pick up your call. Beds are covered with some plasticky mattress protector to make sure you sweat out all the alcohol while you sleep. Housekeeping is non existent. When you walk out of your room, you’ll be greeted with trash and wet towels that people leave out of their rooms and which hasn’t been picked up for hours. The lobby is packed with people puffing their e-cigarettes. There are quickly accents

The only saving grace is the taco counter in the lobby and the restaurant Serena. So come here to grab a bite but don’t stay the night.

Nice modern hotel . Rooms are pretty small as expected. Check in & check out process was easy even though they don’t explain to you how to use the elevator to get to your room as you need to scan your key room before and when asking them they look at you like your stupid . House keeping sucks ! They only cleaned our room once out of the 7days we were there. Had to keep asking for towels and toilet paper. Fiji water in room is $5 at cvs you can get the big bottle for $4 . Serena is overrated , the como como was delicious definitely recommend this restaurant. The pool staff is really nice ! pretty small but nice . The rooftop was also gorgeous! everything’s pretty near . You would think for the price you would get free water at least or better house keeping.

Our king room 426 was the smallest room I've ever had in the US. You can barely squeeze past each other getting to the bed and bathroom. There is no furniture other than the bed and nightstands so there isn't much room to set anything down and forget about opening your suitcase unless you put it on the bed. There is no closet but there's a rack on the wall with pegs to hang items. The bathroom has an adequate (but not generous) amount of counter space and the shower is roomy with great water pressure. I am a toiletries snob and loved the shampoo and conditioner. The location is great, 2 blocks from the beach and Ocean Drive, with bikes to use and a free trolley to the neighborhood (but not the beach.) Overall we'd not stay again just because of the room size and because our room was too warm even with the drapes closed as the a/c isn't adjustable except to switch from a/c to heat.

Stayed here with my family (4 year old and 11 month old). The hotel website lists pack n plays are available. I called ahead to confirm and was told a pack n play would be in my room. We get there and they tell me that pack n plays are a fire hazard since the room is so small and they don’t have any. Asked for a full refund and a pack n play showed up 30 min later. Elevator broke. I had to carry my 11 month old up 6 flights of stairs. Rooms are TINY! Just suit cases should be considered a fire hazard in those rooms because there is no floor to walk on once you open up a suit case. It’s a complete joke. Pools were not heated. Valet took forever to retrieve your car. All the kids working there wore their masks under their noses, which is pointless. Woke up to go to the pool and there were dirty towels and trash everywhere from the night before. The walls are paper thin. There was a flashing light on the smoke detector in our room that flashed all night. The price may be right, but everything else about this place is wrong. Stay far far away.

We stayed during opening weekend and were not impressed. The rooms were incredibly small (think NYC small) and there is little to no sound insulation in the rooms. The service was ridiculously slow (e.g., drinks by the pool, front desk check in/out). Drinks were also incredibly overpriced. They do not have a private section of the beach for hotel guests, although you can get free chairs at the beach as a Moxy guest ($20 charge for an umbrella). There is no point in paying extra for an ocean view room as the ocean is far in the distance. Also the fact that the rooms are only serviced once every three days by default left us constantly needing to call for new towels, toilet paper and bath products. Overall we prefer other options in South Beach.

So they do have a rack located on the wall that can hold items on a hanger but there is no dresser to store clothes. Also, I think there is a fold out rack you can place your suitcase on so you don’t have to put it on the floor.
