Three of us stayed overnight prior to a cruise embarkment. Its an apporx. $5-6 taxi ride to the Port of Miami. The exterior: very attractive. Four tower condos. The Lobby: Huge beautiful lobby. Communial space for all four towers. Has eateries, shops, and even dancing at night. (People were streaming in/out of one place with loud latin sounds blasting from the doors). We did some food shopping in the lobby store. Location: Not bad. 10 min. walk to shopping on Flager st.. Now, the room. The Four Ambassador Suites are condo size accomodations for sure. The room was huge. They are apartment size accomodations. Very spacious with two closets for storage. A kitchenette w/stove, microwave, toaster, and sink with gliding shutter doors to close it off from foyer. The room size and view gives this an above average rating. The view is absolutely stunning. You have a full view of the Miami river glistening at night. Breath taking! (you can see the Mandarin Orential across the river). The rooms decor; however, was very bland. Wood head boards to match the dresser-nothing pretty. There was a small round dining table in the bedding area. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was incredibly nice. We received a really great price on a website. Can't remember which one. I suppose I would stay here again. Hey, I can waiver a rooms decor for huge accomodations and cleanliness.

We stayed at the Four Ambassadors for one night pre-cruise and one night post-cruie earlier this month. This is a condo complex where one tower is short-term or hotel style rentals. The neighborhood is nice and relatively safe, on the edge of the financial district. Both of the units we stayed in were quite clean, but getting a bit shabby around the edges. Since there were two and adults and two adult-sized teens to be accommodated, we opted for the deluxe suite, which gave us tons of room and was cheaper then paying for two "regular" hotel rooms elsewhere. The only major complaint was that in neither unit was the sofa bed really in usable condition. My son was a good sport about it both nights, but then he can fall asleep sitting up! Even though there were four of us expected, we had to call for extra towels both stays (there were only two complete sets in the entire unit). The housekeeping staff spoke very little English, so it was a good thing that I was able to dust off my high school/college Spanish.
Many permanent/long term residents apparently Cuban--so I suppose language problem a non-issue for many people. Nice little deli, coffee shop, Intenet cafe, two specialty restaurants. We got supplies for quick breakfasts at the deli both stays (our units had complete kitchens), which probably saved some time and money. Intenet access was easy and cheap at $2.50 for 30 minutes and $5.00 for an hour.

Previous review had indicated that it was only a short/cheap taxi ride to pier, Sobe, etc. The closest and cheapest taxi was about $6 to the Bayside Marketplace. It is about a $12 ride to the pier and nearly $25 to the heart of South Beach. Something tells me that the higher gas prices have driven up the taxi fares since earlier this year.

Stayed here night before a cruise with 2 friends. Our room was large with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The kitched was nice, with both newer appliances and dishes. The one bedroom had a large king bed and the other bedroom contained 2 twin beds. The twin beds were uncomfortable. The bedrooms did not contain televisions and the TV in the living area was a 19 inch tube television. Check in and out were quick. Room was neat and tidy.

The Four Ambassadors in a run-down condo complex--not a hotel. Most of the rooms appear to be leased to international students who are in the US to learn English; the others are residences of folks with dogs, kids and (presumably) lives in Miami. The front desk is only staffed till 10:00 pm. If you arrive after that you can't even check in! There are NO services. The restaurants appear to open only on whim; none were open during our stay. The one guy who works the front desk ran our VISA for 2 nights when we checked in--it's their policy. When we checked out we were actually only charged for one night, but still the place is WEIRD and runs on really strange, third-world rules. It's a great place to practice your Spanish, however, since very few of the staff speak English. The one plus is that everyone we encountered was nice; the downside is that it's NOT A HOTEL.

My wife and I made the mistake of booking at Four Ambassadors Suites Hotel on line. The pictures do not describe the horrible conditions of the rooms. The A/C broke during the night, and the front desk was closed. Yes... the hotel was closed so nobody could fix our A/C or switch our room at 2 am.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!

DIRTY, OLD AND POOR CUTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

This hotel is a low-rent establishment with a high-dollar price. The staff is rude and argumentative (not to mention non-English speaking). The eateries are incredibly over-priced. The hotel is run down and unbelievable enough HAS NO INTERNET CONNECTION!!!! The third rate rat trap hotels in Miami at least have an internet connection!

I think they should change the name to The Four Thumbs Down.

We rented a hotel room (room #669) on Saturday, 2/11/2017. As soon as we got out of the elevator, the terrible smell that was on the hallway, was impossible to ignore. Then, when we went to the room, the terrible smell had gone inside the room as well and the part of the ceiling where the a/c vents out, was full of mold. All black! Terrible! The beds were SUPER hard. My husband and I couldn't sleep at all. We left as soon as the sun came out and there was nobody to take our keys, so we had to leave it with the ballet parking person named Jorge. We got home and my husband started with really high fever. He has been in and out of the hospital since then. I'm sure the disgustingly dirty room is what got him sick. Worse stay ever!!!!!!!!!!!

This was an old and outdated place. Not worth the price at all. I would not recommend this to anyone. The tv was an old 19 inch box. And there were exposed wires in the living room there was no ice machine and not many restaurants close by.

The rooms are really apartments, with a kitchen, but be sure you request a remodeled unit. Best location and the best prices. Not everyone wants to stay at overpriced hotels in Miami, you will be staying in the same area of the Mandarin, Conrad, Four Seasons, and within walking distance of Mary Beickell Village and the Metromover. A hidden gem.

You have to count 20-30 min depending on traffic which is usually heavy on the causeway to south beach. You are closer to key biscayne
