Very simple for the airport as located right on the departure concourse, literally yards from the gates. Feels kind of odd that the front desk is actually in the concourse, with lifts to the rooms, but security doesn't seem to be an issue. Has advantage of plenty of food options adjacent to take to the room (Sbargo, Subway etc, some 24 hours) plus a grill right opposite front desk, and an upscale restaurant on the top floor.

However, with all that said, and I get that prices were inflated for SuperBowl weekend, but for the price was way overpriced. Room was very small (much smaller than photos), TV was poorly tuned or lacked channels, corridors tired and tatty. Room facilities okay but dark and gloomy compared to photos and very much setup for short in/out stays (no wardrobe, no comfort lighting).

Cleaners want to call into room repeatedly from about 9am, I guess due to the number of early departures they assume everyone is gone for their flights, so really needs a Do Not Disturb if you need to sleep in.

On this occasion we used a day room as we had almost half a day before our flight home and Miami’s luggage hold costs almost $75 for three bags!

The check in process was strained as MIAHs computer system appears to be vastly outdated and so was slow and broke down on several occasions through the check in process.

On the subject of outdated the rooms and hallways are ripped straight from the mid to late 20th century. It is clear that no refurbishment work has been done on these rooms at all. The rooms themselves are roomy and the beds are relatively comfy however the layout of the room is horrific.
In our room we had a large concrete pillar blocking our access to one side of the bed. The windows were also covered up and were impossible to access.

This room is okay for staying in during the day but for an extended stay look elsewhere!

Yes , if you arrive late ( 1:AM ) and need to find a hotel for the night, to connect to somewhere else next morning ( in our case Heathrow to La Habana ) this is a good location, you can walk there, it is located in the terminal.
But the good new end there. Long line to check in, glad we had reservations, and had called ahead about late arrival, because the hotel was obviously fully booked, and had to turn away several families with kids.........no reservations !
The room was air conditioned and very cold, the noises from other rooms, toilets flushing etc, was obvious, plus construction work started very early, so, sleep was frequently interrupted.
The alarm clock woke us again at 6 AM, obviously not re-set as part of the cleaning up from previous guest............
There was no fridge in the room, but a small coffeemaker, that did not work, because someone had smashed in the on/off button!
There was not even a bottle of water each for us, and no vending machine in the vicinity!
The “view”, once you found the un-openable window behind the curtain, was of e trashed cement yard.
The all over impression of the room is that it needs a lot of fixing up, painting over scratches and nail holes, hinges and other details in bathroom, plus a rubber mat in the slippery bathroom would have been a big improvement !
Since we booked though Hotels.com, breakfast was not included, which was a good thing, since it looked more like a cafeteria tray lunch concept...........

We chose the airport hotel for an overnight stay after an 11 hour flight, it was more expensive than most but because my partner is in a wheelchair, decided we’d go for the luxury option. We paid £188 for the room. The rooms were tired, in need of updating and very dark. One normal coffee and one decaf (we had to fight for the caffeine) the hotel facilities weren’t great the restaurant was overpriced 40 dollars for a bottle of wine. The bed was comfortable and we slept reasonably well. The main problem came at 7am the next morning, up early for a shower before driving to Key West. The shower! Oh dear god.we had a roll in shower for wheelchair needs, the water came out and the shower head wouldn’t hold up, when you took it off the wall , water came out of the pipe and was a trickle . It was terrible, it took ages to was away the soap. Paying £188 all we wanted was a comfortable room and a nice shower to start our trip refreshed. This hotel failed, we wish we had traveled away from the airport. I will never stay here again. I was told at reception she would have refunded my stay, but because I had booked through Expedia I had to claim back through them. Let’s see what happens. On a plus the other hotels in Key West (The laureate ) and Sarasota (Hilton embassy suites) are fantastic and a world apart from MIA and have a similar if not less price tag .

We stayed overnight on a long layover. The woman who checked us in at the front desk was very unfriendly and not helpful in the least in answering our questions about the hotel and the restaurant. The room (#328) was smaller than any hotel room, ever. It was dirty, the bed linens and towels were old, stained, and worn out. The shower is the size of a motor home shower and the shower head was chest height. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. There is zero noise insulation in the room. It's shocking that they can charge $245.21 per night for this.

Used the hotel for a short 4 hour stay before an evening flight home after a cruise.
Check in was straightforward and we only paid 60$ which was worth it ( booked through a day use website) rather than spend hours waiting on the uncomfortable chairs in the airport.
We didn’t use the restaurant so cannot comment on the food.
The rooms are a little tired and could do with being refurbished, but they contain good facilities including a coffee maker , iron and ironing board but there is no safe in the room.
It met our needs on this occasion as a short stop and it’s was only the room decor that let the hotel down.

Only stay here if you have no other choice. I debated on getting an Uber over to the Hyatt prior to booking due to arriving late and the shuttle for some hotels ends at 11pm or sooner. With all the delays happening right now, I thought I would just be safe and stay right at the airport before heading out early in the morning. We got to the hotel at 10pm. When we got up to the room there were only 2 towels and no wash rags for a double queen room. We paid for 4 guests to be in the room. We called the front desk and were informed there were NO towels. I asked if we could just get some more by 6am the following morning. They said they would just have to see. We called the front desk to speak to the manager about paying $270 for a room and not getting the basics of what we paid for. He was going to check to make sure there were no towels and get back with us. Needless to say, no response. In addition, we are sitting in the room trying to stay up to get what we need for showers and try to watch TV. The remote would turn the TV on but you had to press each button about 5 times and hold it at different angles for it to function. The following morning when checking out we asked if a manager was on duty and were told they werent in yet. Fast forward to Sunday night. Again, we have to check in at 5am. Most shuttles from other places don’t run this early. SAME exact scenario!! Only 2 towels but we did get 1 wash rag this time. The front desk said their “job” is to make sure you get checked in and have keys to your room. They can’t control what housekeeping does and they get griped at for something they have no control over. There is simply no hospitality here and they don’t even try to make your stay pleasant. It is literally a last resort option. Last tip, if you do stay here the water temperature in the shower adjusts on its own. It happened in both the rooms we stayed in. One was on the 6th floor, the other the 4th. It will get really hot. We were happy with Margaritaville being right at the entrance. Very convenient and friendly. Ultimately, just Uber elsewhere so you don’t ruin your trip.

If after landing in Miami you want to just relax in your room instead of taking a shuttle to a hotel or a car renta, this place offers the maximum convenience. Located inside the Miami International Airport complex it is close to arrivals/departures, rental cars, and restaurants/shops. The rooms are dated and the views not so great but you are steps away from two of their restaurants, Viena, a upper scale restaurant on the top floor and Margaritaville on the main levels which is a more casual setting. The staff is super friendly and accommodating but do not expect 5 star luxury here. If, however, you want the quick access to your room upon arrival or quick checkout upon your departure without having to leave the airport, this is the place to book. Prices were around $165.00 in season but have seen much lower during the off-season.
If you get a voucher for breakfast (which is on the main floor, be aware you cannot use their regular menu to choose your options. They give you a 5-item menu (very misleading) and the food is just average and very greasy.

You would think that with such a prime location,
AND
The prices they charge, they would take some pride in their product. But, NO.

Smelly rooms, indifferent staff and a weariness permeating the establishment that no amount of washing, scrubbing and vacuuming will fix.

Their sole claim is their location. If you must, you can cope with an overnight stay there, but for me, I will drive a couple of miles in an Uber next time and look for a Hotel 6 or similar. I reckon I can get the same quality for this $50... and I am NOT being unkind to Hotel 6.

Our multi-generational family of 8 had a 10-hour layover at MIA and booked day rate rooms at the hotel. It was great for a rest: nothing fancy, but clean and convenient, with the hardest working housekeeping staff ever. Pass, though, on eating at the nearby Air Margaritaville and find something else.

Yes if you are coming to the airport to depart the hotel it is situated just inside one of the entrance doors. If you are arriving from somewhere you would have to go through customs, passport checks etc.before checking in. They don't have anywhere to store your luggage and the rooms aren't ready till 3pm. If you want to get in to your room earlier i.e. between 12 noon and 3pm they will ask you for $50!!!
