The Hampton Inn & Suites Miami/Brickell-Downtown garners accolades for its amenities, including the free breakfast and fitness facilities, though the pool size and bar selection have received some criticism. Guests are charmed by the inviting atmosphere, despite occasional remarks about outdated elements. The hotel's cleanliness stands out, with rooms consistently described as spotless.
While the value proposition has been questioned, the hotel's strategic location near local attractions is widely applauded. Service at the hotel is another highlight, with staff commended for their attentiveness and professionalism. Room comfort is generally praised, though noise and temperature control have been noted as areas for improvement.

Hotel's Favourite
This is the best Hampton Inn I’ve stayed at - a great moderately-priced hotel. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
Our visit: We were professionally greeted and checked in, our room was ready upon arrival, room was clean, modern, well-appointed, and comfortable. In-room A/C was awesome and it was a pleasure to get out of the Miami heat into a (literally) cool room. The lobby offers a full bar with good, welcoming service with plenty of seating at the bar and throughout the area. Included breakfast buffet is typical Hampton Inn but larger - a good assortment of options.
The location is terrific - restaurants right next door and around the corner.
This Hampton Inn was a great choice as a place to lay our heads before departing on a cruise. (-:

We had a great stay at this Brickell area Hilton family property. I picked it based on other reviews and the proximity to the AA arena. We came specifically for a concert and this hotel was within a 2 mile radius.
Rooms: We had a comfortable double room. The view was of the city and we had a quiet stay. The bathrooms have a tub and shower and plenty of towels. There are no refrigerators in the room just in case you need one. There is a coffee machine, safe, ice bucket, and tv. The toiletries are from Neutrogena.
Breakfast: Breakfast is included here and it was one of the nicest breakfast buffets I have seen at a Hampton Inn. The foods are so nicely presented with cucumber slices on the meats, crispy European breads and rolls, fresh cut tropical fruit and berries, and tasty fresh smoothies made from mango and orange juice. There was really something for every palette. They have the traditional waffle maker, American eggs and sausages and then the European items such as fresh pastries. Coffee and tea is always available in the lobby at two locations. They also offer compostable products made from corn and are environmentally conscious.
Hotel layout: When you enter the hotel, you actually talk to the concierge first and then go up to the 6th floor to check in and go to the main lobby and restaurant bar area. Then you will need a key card to access the sleeping rooms.
Service: the staff here is great and were extremely kind with all of our requests. The cleaning team is great and rooms were very thoroughly cleaned.
Bar: As part of the Hilton Honors program, we received a voucher for a free wine or beer at the bar during happy hour. They also offer food for purchase such as wings and snack items. The house well drinks are also discounted and a vodka soda was only $6. We enjoyed the happy hour very much!
Location: We were able to walk or take the Metromover or uber wherever we needed to go. The Metromover is free and right across the street. You can take it to downtown and the other loops and is a great way to see the city. We walked to North Italia for dinner and passed many bars and restaurants that are near the shopping area and within a few blocks of the hotel.
We enjoyed our stay very much and were very impressed with the location, breakfast and service. Thank you!

Enjoyed our stay just ten minutes walk to town centre and places to eat, easy reach for mono rail which runs every few minutes and it’s free.Arrived at hotel just in time for free buffet and beer or wine witch was very handy .room was very nice with separate bedroom didn’t hear any noise at all. Only thing my husband wasn’t happy about was being told off for looking though door that was wide open and unattended we thought it was the stairs, nobody spoke to us or said good morning which made us feel uncomfortable.

We stayed 9 nights here while my husband had eye surgery at a nearby hospital. It was stressful to travel in the time of Covid and particularly with that medical emergency. But the hotel was well prepared for safe visits, with sealed rooms on arrival, and limited maid service when requested— but not daily, so we didn’t feel we were constantly exposed to unknown people in the room. We could have clean towels, more coffee, etc on request. In fact, you could have daily service if desired...we just didn’t want that. The complimentary breakfast was served in a way that gave us a choice of light meals in containers that were then sealed and could be taken back to the room. The staff was incredibly kind. The concierge was great and arranged to personally bring us a special dinner arranged by one of our kids. We had visited before and again appreciated the variety of nearby restaurants, most with outdoor seating and good mask compliance. All in all a very fine choice for a stay in Miami, now and always.

I was brought here by my fiancé for my surprise birthday weekend getaway. The price was awesome considering the location and it was not far from the beach areas. The parking was easier than it is explained on their website and the rooms were delightful. Because I am a Hilton Honors member we were awarded an upgrade at no additional fee. We were also greeted by the concierge very joyfully and with professionalism. The front desk was very nice and accommodating to us as I mentioned it was my birthday weekend. I loved everything about this hotel, down to the 6th floor pool. If you are worried about safety they have a security guard on the premises 24hrs a day so any time you are coming in or out you will see them. The security was extremely helpful in ensuring we could get in and out the parking garage without issues, this is because our room key wouldn't scan us in or out. As long as you called the front desk and provided your name and room number this doesn't become a problem at all. The front desk became familiar with us quite quickly. I adored the walking distance to several restaurants as well. There is literally everything to offer food wise so you will have no problem finding some place nice to dine in. Also something you'd want to know breakfast is included with your stay already, and it was really good. They served cold items and hot items and this was awesome as many hotels aren't offering this anymore unless at an additional fee. Their breakfast was really good, my fiancé and I enjoyed ours poolside. If you're looking to travel with a family it is family friendly, but We barely saw any children at all. The rooms were solid we didn't hear any one in the hallway or in another room. When we were leaving out the room I heard a vacuum since housekeeping was cleaning up another room. But while inside with the room door closed I didn't hear anything at all, It was very peaceful. that is a plus when traveling for leisure.

I loved nearly everything about this hotel. The location was prime for downtown Miami. Our room was 1622 - fridge and microwave included. I like that our hotel key was required to get to our floor for safety reasons.
We were extremely close to the Metromover & Trolleys. We always felt safe walking to the store (7-11 or Publix) or from the Brickell station at night.
BUT, sand (actual sand from the the beach) was on the sheets when I pulled the comforter back. This made me question the cleanliness of our room. We had not gone to the beach and I was just turning the covers back.
I called the front desk immediately. New sheets were brought up. The young man at the desk apologized and offered to switch our rooms but it was a little after 10 p.m. and after a long day of travel, my kids were already asleep in their bed.
Again, the sand is my bed was noticeable and can only be explained as a failure to change bed linen. Normally, this would result in a much lower rating, but the hotel seemed to hit the mark on every other aspect. Plus, I used disinfectant that I brought from home (per usual).
I liked the different containers for used and sanitized ink pens and the breakfast setup which required guests to tell gloved and masked employees what they wanted. All meals were then bagged and handed to guests.
The pool is on the small side but when we my son went, he was the only one there so it was perfect. Also, the pool area has nice lounging furniture for when we just wanted fresh air without leaving the property.
When I return to the area, I will definitely consider this property again. We used the Metromover a few times and it was very convenient. I don’t think we fully utilized the free transportation system though. We relied on Uber/Lyft quite a bit.
Other than location, the best thing about this property is the employees! They were all phenomenal (concierge, doormen/women, front desk members (who greeted us every morning for breakfast and handled all of our needs quickly), and breakfast and cleaning staff! All smiles and a sincere desire to make our stay memorable.
Overall, a solid property and good vacation.

I stayed with 2 others in an Elite Level room, not having stayed in a Hampton Inn hotel before. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially the room maid who kept it spotless and well stocked. Free bar drinks. Very comfortable room. Perfect for transport links on the doorstep. The breakfast was out of this world with an amazing choice. We were all blown away by the hotel and want to stay again just for the stay!

Hampton-Inns are no Hiltons/Conrads, but more often than not they have a welcoming staff generous rooms, nice beds and are just reliable. But not this one.
It does have a good location, in walking distance to shopping and dining.
The check in was terrible. There were two (bald guy and younger lady), neither one of them was helping somebody or where they irritated by a family waiting eagerly to check in. Once they did carve time out of their busy schedule to accommodate us, the experience did not improve. No upgrade for diamonds as their top floors seem to be only available through higher rates (just like some Conrad's). Not even some water.
The room (few seem to have any view at all) smelled as if the disinfectant has been applied in a thin layer across the room. There was some drilling noise filling the whole floor. When I asked the front desk, I learned that "they should be done in a couple of hours". No "sorry" and nothing suggested that he thought a couple of hours of noise could be something we didn't like. AC is insufficient if the sun hits your window.
Due to their urban location, they seem to require some security at the garage entry. When my wife entered the elevator, two guys entered as well. When I hurried to make it to the same elevator, they left again after I entered ... I hope they just forgot something. But the whole hotel is so anonymous, that I would want my wife to stay here by herself.
The breakfast is nice, they even have some cold cuts, but the breakfast area is as sad as the bar that never seems to open.
The fact that they charge as much as the Hilton, seems to be only due to the location. There is nothing else in this hotel that puts it an inch above an average Hampton Inn.

Dear Hotelcritic999, We are sorry that you had an unsatisfactory experience but as the majority of our reviews reflect, this is not the norm for our property. We pride ourselves in our customer service and if we fell short in regards to your stay, I do sincerely apologize. It is a bit contradictory to state our location is good and then criticize it a few paragraphs down as "urban" and "anonymous". We are definitely in the heart of our city in what is considered the financial district. Surrounded by mostly business establishments, offices, restaurants, shopping, and hotels. with major foot traffic mostly consisting of executives, professionals. and tourists, sufficient lighting at night as well as activity, most of those aspects, help our location be safe. Security presence at the garage entrance is an added touch to ensure our guests feel secure as well as their vehicles and other property. As for our bar, It is used for seating during breakfast and opens everyday from 5pm - 11pm with happy hour being from 5pm - 7pm. At which, guests can redeem a complimentary welcome drink voucher they receive upon check-in. The distinguished brands you mentioned all have their own standards, whereas our room features and amenities are certainly within the Hampton Inn standard with the occasional difference such as most Hampton Inns dont have a bar at all, complimentary drink vouchers, or cold cuts as part of their breakfast spread. We certainly arent your usual Hampton Inn. Thank you for your comments and a chance to educate other travelers on our property and we wish you the best of luck on your travels. Excellent Service!!! This is by far the nicest Hampton Inn we have ever stayed at. The location, at check-in, the Front Office Manager, John Papazoglou, took care of us personally, he gave us a newly renovated room on the 16th floor. The mattress and bed sheets are so new that we didn’t want to get up every morning. Came to the Front Desk to personally thank Mr. PapZoglou the next day. Everyone has been very attentive and courteous , we are coming back in December, and we will definitely stay at this hotel again. Keep up the great service.
Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.
Sincerely,
Anthony Crosby

We were pleased to stay in this excellent hotel which was clean, safe and affordable!
We were able to conveniently take the Orange Line Metro from the airport after a long flight from San Francisco to our hotel after only a short walk. The room and entire hotel were very clean and inviting. The breakfast the next morning was superb. It was a buffet near the reception area that was not crowded nor cluttered. The guests could also eat in a quiet area near the beautiful pool. This hotel looks out upon an architecturally restored elementary school in the bustling downtown Brickell area. The reception personnel gave us their suggestions for finding a restaurant and we were well pleased with the results. At breakfast the next day, other guests were also pleased w/ the recommendation of a seafood restaurant. I was pleased to meet Mr. Armando Cervera, Dir. of Safety, so that I could thank him for the professional level of security that I felt in and around this fine hotel. I received extra assistance from two professional housekeeping staff: one helped procure a "Do not disturb" doorhanger and one personally went with me to the correct floor after calling the front desk to confirm my room number as I had remembered the incorrect floor!
