First, I would like to thank Bryan and Gabriel for assisting me to make my stay special for a birthday celebration. My biggest compliment is definitely the awesome staff. Unfortunately, my 2 disappointments are not having seating on my balcony within my Deluxe Bay View King room and the surprising lack of comfortable beds. May I mention I booked my stay from a third party site. I’m not sure if I received the “not so best” room due to not booking on the direct site but that is how I felt. The balcony in my particular room, 1215, was very small. On the contrary, it could easily accommodate at least 1 seat oppose to 2 seats that I noticed the neighboring room beside me had the privilege to enjoy. The whole point of requesting a balcony room is to enjoy the ambiance and the feature of the balcony and sadly I did not enjoy it. Additionally, the mattress in my room was not the most comfortable. I would describe it to be unleveled and a bit firm. The firmness is tolerable but the “dip” or uneven level that I experience made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep. Overall my first experience with Mandarin Oriental was not the best that I anticipated but not 100% disappointed. I would like to return in the future for a better experience, hopefully. …
This is not our first visit. We like the location very much and the views are beautiful. We had q sky view suite which is nice but needs to be updated. It’s tired. The bed is wonderful. Plenty of towels but small, i would put bigger towels. This hotel lacks of a nice restaurant. La Mar is nice but it’s boring if you stay for long as we did. A cafe or something similar would be nice. The bar is in the reception so it’s noisy. I went to front desk to leave a package to be given to FedEx and the lady told me to look for a bellboy. That shouldn’t happen. She should have kept the package and look for whoever is in charge. This was very bad in a hotel of this level. Carlos, the concierge, is very nice and helpful and recommended us a couple of restaurantes around the area. Breakfast is ok, the quality of the bread/toasts is low, gave them back a couple of times because they were hard rock but the people who work they are very nice and helpful... valet parking works very well, they are very efficient and nice. Overall we liked our stay there. It was not something that impressed us overall but we will be back again. That view is wonderful. …
Service was good, but the facilities are shockingly outdated. Honestly, the finish-out of this place is what I would expect at a 3 star hotel. Everything looks and feels dated. The spa experience was extremely disappointing. The facilities are dated and the shower area does not drain properly. The steam room/sauna were also closed.
We love Miami--its our home from home. MO Miami is simply devine--it offers a complete 5 star hotel experience and it delivers. Our stays at this hotel have been seamless. The pool area with its private beach is where we hang out all day. Brickell shopping centre is a 10 min walk. Food is exceptional. Its very quiet and peaceful. View of the bay and the ocean are immense. Also it is not "crazy" 5 star hotel prices--see upcoming review on Four Seasons Surf Club. All in all brilliant.
This resort is beautiful !! We received great service from the beginning to the end of our stay. Jorge the bartender from the pool really went above and beyond to make us feel special, we received from him the best service ever !!! And we have been in a lot of places :) thank you for a great stay !!!
