Best location, food and service. Loved the elegant European vibe. Will definitely return. Hats off to the excellent women at the concierge desk. Covi and Erika in special events, room service staff and valets Joe and David! Also Giorgio on the Le Jardin crepe roe. ALSO YOU MUST DINE AT Bellini upstairs. Sit outside during sunset. Tiny hiccups that can be easily remedied: Housekeeping accidentally skipped us 2 days in a row, although we clearly requested them. Our 2nd floor room was gorgeous but the balcony overlooked an ugly rooftop. We knew it was a lesser priced room. But, SOME POTTED PLANTS and twinkle lights could easily remedy this.

This is an exceptional hotel, offering an exceptional experience for any traveler. Most hotels get basic things right, as they’ve got clean sheets, a nice bed, and a lovely shower (especially after a flight and Uber). Most hotels have an average fitness center, maybe that smells a bit like rubber. And they have people who are reasonably helpful. This is not most hotels. This place sparkles. The elevator has a mirrored finish, that must be polished multiple times a day. The view from the rooftop pool, which the perfect shade of blue, is spectacular, but also offers a cool breeze from the ocean on a hot day (since it’s elevated, away from the street level). When I had breakfast, the scrambled eggs were fluffy and just perfectly cooked. Not too cooked, just perfect, almost as if they were kissed by the stovetop. The waiter offered to change my coffee order, switching me from plain hot coffee to an iced latte that had the most beautiful swirl of milk and coffee in a sort of elevated water glass. The room cleaning happened exactly after I left the room for breakfast, and when I returned, they had freshened the room, but also lightly spritzed it with something vaguely reminiscent of fruit and flowers, light, and perfect. The deck off the side of my room had a heavy, delicious, perhaps hurricane rated slider door, excellent for peace and quiet, but also for the substantial quality that makes something feel real, instead of fake. At the pool, I had a salad with chicken that was, again, perfectly cooked. Who expects the chicken to be perfectly cooked at a hotel pool? Like, doesn’t that seem next level? I had the most wonderful cocktail, a White Lady, with the fluffiest whipped egg whites on top. How does a hotel get the egg whites this fluffy on a roof? Doesn’t that seem exceptional to you? Great design is a marriage, of body, mind, and soul. The body of this hotel is a sort of yacht theme, like a large, comfy ship at sea. The mind knows how logically to do things, and keeps them organized. The keycards work, and they don’t demagnetize next to your phone accidentally. The front desk picks up when you call them. But what about the soul? How do you infuse soul into a hotel, so it’s living, instead of manufactured garbledegook. I’m sure I have no idea, but whomever owns this property, this collection of Mr. C hotels, I’m very impressed and very thankful for your tremendous hard work and contribution to the gentle, yet highly valuable idea of great hospitality.

I was totally impressed by the facilities, employees, front desk, and Bellini Restaurant on the 5th. Floor. The room, although not huge, was exquisitely decorated. Rich veneered glossy wood desk, closet, bathroom and floors project a feeling of being in an Italian sail boat. Nice balcony overlooking the Coconut Grove bay. Although construction going on next door, not one sound. Very sound proof sliding door to the balcony. Breakfast, a la carte, was delicious (Benedictine eggs done just perfect) Ricardo, a young gentleman dressed like an Italian fashion model, had total command of the breakfast area and was overly pleasant. I had the best Negroni at Belini in the evening. In general I give it a 10.

I loved the entirety of my hotel stay from the very moment I walked through the doors. The receptionist and hotel manager (who was also at the front desk) both happily greeted my wife and I. As we were checking in, the hotel manger asked if we would like some complimentary Bellini's. Hard to think of a better way to start. First impressions are so important, and they strived to set expectations. Throughout the entire stay, those elevated were not just met but were exceeded.

It is a boutique hotel so it is not very large, but it never felt small. It was an intimate setting, and the level of service was amazing. The room was spacious and very well decorated (boating/yacht theme that fits perfectly in the area). The pool and their main restaurant (Bellini) are situated on the top of the hotel, which is the fifth floor. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but the food and drinks were well worth it. The best part of the restaurant and pool is the unobstructed view of the bay as well as a nice view of the Grove and Gables area. We went there for breakfast both days and tried to make it out for sunset in the evenings, Another huge positive of the hotel is its location - in the heart of the Grove. You are a block from Cocowalk and the main part of the Coconut Grove with restaurants and bars. You are a block from Bayshore Drive and its bevy of green space and parks. You could walk (or use the complimentary hotel bikes) to get to basically anywhere you want in Coconut Grove.

I could not have been happier with our stay and would happily book another stay here in the future.

Front desk agent (no name tags on your personnel) told us our room was a courtyard view room. It was in fact a view of concrete, the back of shops and the garbage bins. When we told the agent, she said we would need to talk to a manager but there were none present. She was clearly not bothered. We were also overcharged (we prepaid thru booking.com) and the agent disputed it with us trying to charge us for the room again. With proof from us, she revised the bill only charging us for room service and parking. The over payment charges are still showing on my card. I’ll be contacting your accounts department if these charges go thru. 5 star appearance to the hotel but 2 star customer service.

The Good: The hotel is in Coconut Grove which has an abundance of eating options. The staff was attentive and friendly,

The Bad: I have stayed at five star hotels around the world. Mr. C's is not among them. One expects a certain level of creature comforts at the approaching $500 per night level. It was disappointing to discover that my room was excessively tight. I felt that it was not appropriately sized for a guest and luggage, My "Bay View" room was more of view of a parking lot and church. The "partial view" was out in the far horizon over the top of a stand of trees. To add insult to in jury, the drawers are extremely shallow and not capable of holding much except socks. What counter space that was theoretically covered with an endless assortment of clutter including multiple liquor bottles, various nuts, hats, eye masks, and other Mr. C's trinkets for sale. I had my own mini Walmart at my fingertips.

Given the impeccable reputation of the Cipriani family, Bellini was was not up to expectations as luxury dining experience. In fact, the decor by no means exuded fine dining (unlike their NYC restaurants). Initially, I was told that they could not accommodate my party without a reservation. Fortunately, another staffer, who was not in such a hurry to close down the dining room, took over and informed us that a table was available ( I noticed a few other empty tables). The waiter completely forgot my main course and the pasta served to another member of my party was undercooked.

Bottom Line: It was not an A+ experience. I left feeling fleeced. Rates should reflect the reality of what is offered.

The rooms are very nice with everything modern and well maintained. The bathrooms are really nice with double sinks and a real shower with rain fall shower head and hand held shower head. The room is well stocked with goodies and has plenty of outlets.
The negative is the price to valet park over night is very high and food prices are very high in the restaurants and not 5 star in quality/prepartion or presentation.

I absolutely LOVE Mr C! If you are looking for a boutique hotel in Miami that’s close to the beach and city but far enough to feel you’re slightly out of it then Mr C is your place.

From start to finish my partner and I were treated so wonderfully....when we first checked in John the concierge was the best we’ve ever countered. So professional, welcoming and helpful with all our requests.

The deluxe king room we had was amazing....refined style with lots of small important details that signal a high level of service and care. The rooftop pool is wonderful and has great views of the ocean and the rooftop restaurant Bellini has the BEST Italian food!

We felt absolutely spoilt our whole stay and vowed to come back time and time again to Mr C for future Miami stays. The Coconut Grove area also has some great restaurants and cafes plus a few local style shops so another reason to stay here rather than the Miami Beach district.

Mr C is definitely the way to go!!

Our stay was less satisfactory than what we expected. Being a member of the Leading Hotels of the World having chosen the wrong bed is unacceptable. A 2nd category mattress and a couple of awful pillows is just what you don't need in a vacation. Our room was a Std. one, fine in size and with a good bathroom: nothing to say about that, but service is slow in the restaurant as well as in the 1st floor lounge/terrace.Front desk personnel seems efficient but don't send any packages to your name! You are the one in charge of calling to know if something has arrived and they even charge you for delivering them to your room. Unbelievable ! When checking-in be sure to add to what they say is the "room price" a MANDATORY $25 fee to allow "prime internet" plus some amenities as beach chairs and other minor details. After my refusal to be charged, my fee was reduced to $15 having 3rd class wi-fi in our room. Nevertheless, we ate very well at the Bellini and at the lounge too.

I had this one chance to enjoy a few warm days away. Pulled in by pics of magnificent views, I decided to use my savings and book a room out of my price point. I arrived and handed a Bellini, which was lovely, and took a seat in some seats in need of cleaning in the small but striking lobby. I was ha fed my key with a little card that I only glanced at thinking it was only for WiFi information. I entered my room and excitedly opened the blinds. It was dark but I could tell that this was not the view of pics. I scanned the room and found the bathroom fantastic. I slept ok but was a little struck by the euro sized bed and worn mattress. But, I was tired. The next day, I opened the blinds again and the door to a lovely balcony only to find dirty parking areas, trash, a man looking up at me, and the constant sound of a jackhammer, the matter of which I knew would be temporary. I took my book and went for a walk and to a coffee shop. The next day I did the same; however, being upset at the coldness of staff and the misleading webpage, I looked at what I was going to be charged more closely. I only had one more night, so I asked about the expensive “resort fees” only to find that I was responsible for having taken that little card with the key and examined it on my own with no prompting at check in. Turns out I could have checked out a bike, for example. My time was running out, though. One more night on the lumpy mattress and one more shower in the highlight of the room. I was ready to leave.

In the end, I think my room was worth about half of what I paid. It’s not a four or five star hotel from my experience. Because of the bathroom, I would like to bump this to a 3, but I can’t bring myself to that after being dismissed and somewhat scolded when I asked why I was going to be charged a resort fee. I sense a little arrogance here; in that, if you pay top dollar you must feel that your experience was more. As someone who has regularly and thoroughly enjoyed the Vinoy and Don Cesar, I simply cannot. Smaller rooms but with character, warmth, and a welcoming feel makes for a top dollar experience. I wish that had been the case here, too.
