At Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa, guests are captivated by the live music and picturesque sunsets that create a delightful atmosphere, although it's occasionally marred by crowds and upkeep issues. While the hotel's beachfront location receives high marks for its proximity to local dining, some visitors find parking to be a hassle. The staff's professionalism and friendliness are often commended, even though service can sometimes lack consistency.
Praise is also directed at the hotel's amenities, including the beach and spa, but opinions on value are mixed, with concerns about high costs and hidden fees. Rooms are generally appreciated for their spaciousness and views, yet some guests suggest quality can be hit or miss. Cleanliness is another strong point, with the majority of visitors satisfied, though there are occasional calls for more thorough housekeeping.

Detailed Reviews
I admit I came in with low expectations due to some reviews I have read and the fact that the hotel was showing high occupancy. I left with my expectations exceeded. The staff was great at handling my many requests before I checked in, and everything was in the room when I arrived. The staff at check in was very friendly and double checked to make sure all my requests were in the room. Room was large and modern and clean and had plenty of space for 3 people with the pull out couch. While no upgrades were available to a deluxe ocean view, our ocean view room on the 5th floor west side had a great view and was recently renovated. Housekeeping was great and always came when requested and brought items within a few minutes. For those who read reviews of housekeeping not coming, the key is you need to both request at check in and call when you leave your room to ensure they did not miss you.
Breakfast was very good and the HH honors breakfast credit was more than enough although the terms were confusing. Food at restaurant was good but was a bit confusing if service charge included tip or not or what it was for. Also despite being a resort, there was only 1 restaurant with confusing hours. No room service right now.
When it came to the pool, the pool did not get much sun this time of year due to location of building. Also, hotel gives you towel cards which are max 4 towels per room (will give you 6 on request), but overall feels a bit cheap and bothersome to always remember a card. Also a bit silly is the fact that more than 2 beach chairs is an extra cost of $7 per chair.
The hotel was very clean with more hand sanitizer stations than I’ve seen anywhere, and plenty of space to social distance despite being busy. Keep in mind do to lax rules of southwest FL, quite a few guests did not wear masks inside and it did not seem to be enforced too well.
One other negative is with housekeeping, when we came to our room, someone else’s towels were on our balcony showing they do not clean every part of the room.
Overall, it was a great stay and safe during covid at a modern property with resort amenities and we would return.

I've been coming here for years, but it's been probably 3 years since our last visit, and in that time they went through a $60M renovation. It shows. Rooms are all refreshed, and the pool area is awesome. The pool was great before, but now it's even bigger and nicer.
The beachfront location can't be beat so we alternate between beach and pool throughout the day. One of the things I love is that chairs and umbrellas are included in your resort fee so you don't have to worry about how much they will cost, or if you have to go the local beach store to buy chairs, only to throw them away at the end of the vacation. My only critique would be that they start to collect the chairs at 5:00 pm which is too early.
The location on the island is great too as you have lots of dining and shopping options literally right across the street. It would be easy to vacation here and not even need a rental car.
Pro tip: all of the rooms (from what I can tell) have an ocean view so there is really not a need (in my opinion) to pay for an ocean view room. If your room is poolside, you'll have a better view, but even on the non-poolside, you still see the ocean. Historically I've paid for the upgraded room because that is my nature. On this trip, I had a standard room and it was still quite nice and I saved a few bucks.

We had a great experience at this hotel. It’s a Hilton so our expectations were met at that level. I thought the lobby was very nice. Our room was ready soon after our 3:00pm arrival. The staff was very courteous. We are Gold members but were not able to get an upgrade. I thought they could have done a better job at greeting a gold member. It wasn’t recognized until we asked. The room was very large and in good repair. Bathroom was a good size with a large shower and good water pressure. Maid service was upon request. We requested it and received it the next day, no issue. There was free Coffee in the lobby which was appreciated and very good. Pool was a bit small, but it was open late and we love a night swim on vacation. We also took advantage of the large jacuzzi which was nice and hot. There is vegetation growing between the pool and the beach. I usually love seeing the beach from the pool, but we spent most of our time at the beach. The beach hut opened at 7:30. You had to sign a card and they would set up two chairs and an umbrella. Supposedly additional chairs cost $25, but if you just tipped the guys they’d give you extra chairs. I found this to be a bit annoying as we are early risers and I couldn’t get a chair prior to them opening. People would line up to get a front row spot and put towels on their chairs and leave. But there were chairs available no matter what time you arrived, just not the coveted front-row position. They give you wrist bands upon check in also. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful and very large. Know that there are shells on the beach by the water so walking barefoot in the beach was a bit challenging. The hotels location was very good as some of the best restaurants were located directly across the street. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

We loved it!! The front desk staff were very helpful and professional. There were several bellmen who were always in the lobby with smiles and suggestions! One stood out to us who we referred to as Chicago! He was quite a character and made us feel at home! And everything in the lobby was decorated beautifully.
We requested a high floor with an ocean view and we got it! The room was very clean and comfortable. We chose not to have daily housekeeping, but when we asked for more coffee or towels or trash removal it happened promptly.
Electronic check in and check out was great! We didn't have to wait in lines. If we needed to get in line at the desk or for the elevator, there were markers on the floor for social distancing and the lines moved quickly.
The outside areas were amazing! Pool and hot tub were great! The outside bar area was a lot of fun! They had live entertainment, comfortable seating, heaters, great bartenders and drinks!
Needless to say the beach was the best! You can go down early in the morning and reserve a spot with 2 chairs and an umbrella. You can add more if you need to, but it will cost you a few bucks. The guys running the booth to get more chairs and to book excursions were great! We booked a jet ski tour that was a lot of fun! We had Tristan as a guide, he was a lot of fun and very accommodating.
The spa was available by appointment if we wanted it.
The main restaurant is the only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars. I called twice for Christmas day reservations. Both times I was told by a manager they would call me back when they had the menu or when they started to take reservations, they had my room number and the time I wanted for dinner. No one called back and when I inquired about my reservation the day before they didn't have it. No biggie, I get it holidays are crazy in the restaurant business. They "fit us in". However the menu was extremely limited. If you didn't get a pre-fixe you could only get an entree and a dessert. The food was not good. It was very pretty though :)
There are lots of places to eat within walking distance though.
Other than that I highly recommend The Hilton and would go back in a second!!

Hotel is located right on a beach. The beach itself is great, but you might want to consider wearing water shoes, as there are sharp shells in the sand - my wife and daughter got nasty and deep cuts in their feet.
Hotel was recently renovated and rooms don’t feel dated. We stayed five nights over July 4th long weekend and booked the standard room (partial ocean view) on points. My wife is HH Diamond and we weren’t offered any upgrades as next category of room was sold out. As Diamond, we got two free breakfasts (which was quite good - we tried buffet and menu) and got to pay for kids’. Parking is additional $27 per night (with tax), but resort fee is waived on points reservation.
Housekeeping is quite disorganized- we requested daily cleaning for all five nights of our stay, but room was cleaned just twice. I had to constantly call housekeeping to bring towels, shampoos, empty trash bins, etc.
There are multiple dining options right across the street in the plaza, so you’re not limited to hotel’s dining options .

Our recent 3 night stay in a suite at the Hilton Marco Island was ruined by a lack of either training, knowledge or simply staff not taking the extra second to be sure something was done correctly.
We traveled with our 2 year old which is why we got the suite. My husband called ahead to determine her sleeping options. He was informed that they had "a crib that can fit a 5 year old." We thought great, perfect! When we checked in it was confirmed we had requested this and we were told it would be delivered. What was delivered was a MINI crib. Barely fitting our 2 year old who is 35". We called the front desk thinking surely this was a mistake. We were told "no we have only one size, or a pack and play." So for two nights my child was jammed into this. Needless to say she didn't sleep well. The second night she slept for six hours only and surely ruined our neighbors sleep as well as ours, not to mention wouldn't nap. On our last night I saw in the hallway a HUGE crib. We quickly ran to the front desk and were told yes we have two sizes of cribs. That final night our daugther slept great, as did we. But it doesn't change that our entire trip was ruined because of carelessness. Anyone knows a vacation with a non sleeping, non napping toddler is a nightmare.
I give it two stars because house keeping was fantastic. They were by far the most friendly people who worked at the hotel and did an impeccable job. Because of Covid I bleach wiped the entire room when we checked in, even random places you wouldn't think to. I didn't find ONE spec of dirt or dust which really helped me feel at ease with their level of thoroughness.
Either way our situation could have and should have been avoided and staff should be confirming upon check-in which size you need.
Also-nearly every time we called the front desk no one answered. I'm talking 80% of the time at least.

Overall great experience. Clean, spacious rooms and friendly service. We made sure we sat in Ximena's pool area each day as she was the absolute best server/hostess I ever had on any vacation. She will be a main reason we schedule another vacation to the Hilton. The Hilton is also located right across the street from several restaurants which made it very convenient to walk to lunch or dinner each day. A few negative comments though. First is that you need to carefully review your room charges and overall checkout receipt. We were charged incorrect rates for our room and double charged 18% tip on one visit to the bar. However, the staff rectified the situation and immediately issued credits. Second, housekeeping did not clean our room one day. Informed the front desk and they were there bright and early each day the remainder of of our trip. Third, pillows aren't the best. Not a big deal, but I usually love the pillows in most hotels and these weren't the best. Nothing so major that we wouldn't stay at the Hilton Marco Island in the future.

This hotel has its definite pros and cons:
Pros
All the employees were very friendly and polite.
If you are very covid anxious you will be happy. All of the employees wear masks. There are signs everywhere to wear a mask. There are circles on the floor telling you where to stand, there are signs limiting the amount of people on the elevator. They are taking the covid business seriously.
It is in a good location with a nice pool area and beach presence.
They are still providing maid service on a daily basis if you desire.
I really liked the Huli Huli pineapple chicken wings available poolside for lunch.
Cons:
And perhaps I need to state that we did book the cheapest room which was listed as a partial oceanview room. We are gold and usually we receive an upgraded or a nice room. This time we did not luck out we received room 220. To say that it provided an oceanview would require a person to stand on their tip toes and crane their neck. If you wish to see the sunset from your room you should make sure your room has an odd number and above the 2nd floor. If you are gold honors do not expect an upgrade. Just be sure to avoid room 220.
The room floors are all tile. Indeed it looks pretty but it does not diffuse sound. At times I thought we were in that GEICO commercial where they say that they have a slight clogging problem.
The restaurant for breakfast is indeed scenic but the food is overpriced ($60.00 for breakfast for two) and terrible. The waffles taste like cardboard and a half hour after breakfast I got a sick stomach which lasted all day.
I'm not sure if its a pro or a con but there were several of children hogging the tables off the lobby. They were obviously doing homeschooling there. I guess if you have children who need an area to homeschool on vacation its a pro. They seemed to have a good connection. If you are a person who wants to use the area and tables and even just walk through the space its a con.
Sorry Hilton, my dream vacation of sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view did not happen at this hotel.

I stayed 3 nights for a conference and surely for the rate they charge for a room, I expected above average or even, dare I say, good service.
I asked for a wake up call - still waiting.. I asked for slippers and shower gel, it took 3 trips and an hour till I got them. I asked the from desk what will the breakfast cost, they said $20 and I was charged $28 as per the menu.
The room is large and mostly clean, with a side view of the beach. there’re some things and places they can clean better, like the glass and under the bathroom counter. The room feel simple, nothing special - I expected much more from a $400 a night room.

Having never been to Marco, and especially during a pandemic, I didnt know what to expect. That said, this location was very well taken care of, with everyone masked while indoors, and even employees while outdoors. We arrived before check in time, and the staff were super accommodating in helping us store our luggage to enjoy the resort while we waited.
If there are any things I would say that could be better, it would be the pillows on the beds. Always insanely soft, to the point of being almost non existent. My wife actually used the decorative pillows from the couch for support during the 4 nights we stayed there.

I didn't notice any but am sure there are some in the area!
We've stayed at this location and it's excellent and fully operational after the storm.
Don't know so I would contact the Hotel directly.
