My family just relocated to Tampa, and Covid has delayed closing on our home. The Residence Inn feels like home away from home as we go through our transition, and every member of the staff and housekeeping go above and beyond to make us feel welcome here. PROS: Large room has table and two chairs, sofa with chaise, TV swivels 360 degrees for watching from bed or living area, plenty of outlets and drawers, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, single sink vanity outside of shower/toilet (good water pressure), full sized closet, black out curtains, kitchen area has dishwasher, pots and pans, sink, utensils, dishes, stove, microwave, full sized fridge, Keurig coffee maker. Good toiletries from 39 Degrees North. Free Wifi, coffee in lobby, continental breakfast bar offered good variety. Pool area is small but serviceable (no lifeguard). Pet friendly. Lots of seating in the lobby. Two computers for use in lobby. 3 minute walk to restaurants and RaceTrac convenience store and gas station.

CONS: No digital safes in the room! A/C unit was noisy.

This is a very clean property. You would never know it is pet friendly as there is no odor or sign that pets are there and common. The staff is friendly. The beds and pillows were comfortable. I was part of a large group and nobody had any complaints.

Myself and three of my friends, take a golf trip every year and have stayed here for the past ten years or so. Please note that everyone that works there is wonderful and very accommodating. The daily breakfast was very good. However, since the proprty has been purchased and new management has taken over, things have gone downhill.

Upon arrival neither rooms could be opened. After a time and new room cards, we were able to get into our room. The other room could not be unlocked. Finally a maintenance worker was able to open the door with his master fob, but couldnot get the key cards to work. since no other rooms were available, they were given a master fob. I assume it was set to only work on that room, but it would not work on the outside doors. The next day when we returned and went to our rooms. The room with the lock trouble was wide open and lock was in pieces on the table. They had been working on it and had left it that way while they were somewhere else. Do not know how long it was open for.

When we checked out, one room was supposed to be on my credit card, the other room was supposed to be on one of their cards. They left everything on my card. They had the information and card number for the other from check-in. Perhaps the staff is not all properly trained. The assistant manager assured us she could fix it. Each room should have been approximately $2200. By the time she was done, the other room had $4400 charged and mine had been charged nearly $11,000. At that time she said she could not change it because of the large amount involved. When we got home, we had to spend time calling the general manager and spend a couple of weeks calling my credit card company (just in case) and checking in online to make sure the excess charges were removed. It was finally straightened out, but it should never have happened.

As a side note there used to be activities four nights per week for the guests, i.e., pizza night, grill night, movie night and so on. Not anymore.

Overall disappointing.

A very nice hotel, clean and well-kept. We knew that our arrival was going to be early and that there was a slim chance our room would be ready. That wasn’t a problem for us, we asked if we could sit outside in the courtyard and enjoy the beautiful day. As the doors lock once you are out I asked if we could have a keycard that would let us get back in should we need to use the restroom. That was denied so we had to bang on the window to get the attention of the desk personnel. Not that big of a deal - just inconvenient. There are cats hanging around near the front door, in the front bushes and sometimes in the lobby . Since we travel with a dog who doesn’t necessarily love cats that made it interesting. Breakfast was excellent and the breakfast area open and clean. We would not go back but that’s because of the cat/dog situation!

This hotel is under renovation and I was not notified about it until I was about to check-in. Hallways, elevator, and rooms are super dusty. The constant noise of construction and parking lot is taken over by construction equipment. The floor I was staying on had all the fire alarms taped off which seems very unsafe. GM emailed me at 4 pm on check-in day, informing me that the hotel was under renovation and needed to reassign me to a new room after the first night. This was not only extremely inconvenient for me but the front desk staff did not know what was happening. They had a hard time finding a new room for me on day 2 and even told me they might be unable to accommodate me. Do yourself a favor and stay either at the Hilton or the SpringHill Suites.

Clean, safe, great location, wonderful staff. Lots of maintenance workers around which was nice to see, they obviously value keeping the place in good shape. There was a minor problem with pool closure for cleaning, but the manager accommodated guests with alternate times. Reasonable rates and pet friendly. This is a great place for long term stay.

I have been here for a week and it has been a great place so far! the property is very well maintained and very clean. so far, my room is very quiet and I get to overlook the pond just to the north of the hotel. my room has a a fully stocked kitchen and is very clean and well maintained too! maid service has been outstanding. the hotel is located near a bunch of places for drinks and food. however, I am picky with my food and I have not eaten at any. my friends have eaten at several and they say they are good. there is a Publix grocery store to the north and a GreenWise to the west and they are both very good.

The bed and the breakfast were amazing. Our unit was able and comfy. The staff helpful and friendly. The parking is shared with other hotels with makes finding parking closer to this hotel challenging especially late at night. There was a pet raccoon eating dry food from a pet tray on the side of the building one night. I would recommend and stay again if given the opportunity.

We have been in many hotels, but the staff we had is by far one of the best people we’ve encountered and we travel a lot. The hotel it was really nice, but I’ve heard they will be remodeling so even better. I want to thank Melanie and Alexa for their pleasant smile and accommodating us during our stay, they are extremely pleasant and they are the people that seem to love what they do. Customer service is a will not a skill, and it’s hard to find pleasant and happy people nowadays. Also want to mention that before we arrived Margarita spoke with me over the phone and was really nice too over the phone. You guys are certainly a place that I will chose if in the area. Great Job!! The breakfast was great too.

Per Marriott policies we are not allowed to confine guests with pets to a specific floor or room #. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee a room where a pet has never been. Our policies are as follows: every room that has had a pet receives what we call “The Pet Treatment”; this consists of the bed being stripped completely including the skirt and pillow, the drapes are washed, the carpet is shampooed along with the sofa and the room is deep cleaned.
