Detailed Reviews
To say our stat was amazing, would be grossly understated. We chose this hotel for our wedding weekend in Lake Mary for all our family and friends to stay. From start to finish, Melissa was phenomenal. She made the booking and planning process so smooth and even personally added some amazing special touches to our room that I couldn’t be more thankful for. During our stay, Michael was THE BEST. He went above and beyond to accommodate such a large group. We will absolutely be back and are Marriott fans for life because of this weekend! Thank you again!

Stayed less than 12 hours to rest before flying home early in the morning. Front desk clerk was friendly and check in was quick. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Ac wasn’t blowing the best at first but after adjusting some settings it was fine. Did not smell a mold smell like other reviewers mentioned and no evidence of bugs. Cannot review the pool other than it looked clean or the breakfast as we left too early. The only thing I will say is I was very surprised at the condition of the tub in our room. It appears they have had maintenance done on it but it really just looks bad and gives the impression of uncleanliness. Also the toilet area had a strong odor of urine especially if you leaned down to grab something off the floor etc. Needs a deep cleaning like someone had terrible aim. It all appeared clean but there was the distinct smell. I’m sure if I called and reported it to the front desk they would have cleaned the bathroom or moved us to another room but for such a short stay and being very tired I did not bother. I’ve included the pic of the tub. It looked worse in person in my opinion. While I know there are different levels of Marriot hotels, I don’t think this tub is acceptable in its current condition. Doesn’t have to be fancy to be clean and well maintained.

First, greeting was lukewarm. As an Elite Gold member, asked for an upgrade to a room with a balcony. I received a room with a standing balcony. Would have loved a balcony with seats. Yes, I was utilizing my points, Front Desk representative said he can’t give a room with a full balcony. He said also Check in was at 3 pm. Didn’t take my phone number, just told me to come back and the room with a stand up balcony facing the parking lot will be ready. Room was not cleaned properly. Hair in the bed. Leftover food sandwiches in the refrigerator. Toilet was running during the night. All you need to is replace the flapper. I should have informed the front desk.Maintenance should check on this. Room was a good size. The excellent part of the hotel was the pool. Nicely clean, pool towels available. They had a nice Grab and Go Breakfast and you could order coffee drinks from Starbucks in the morning. It would have been nice if the Bistro was open but they said in the near future. One employee did say, hopefully in about two weeks. Only one elevator. Elevator has glass door which is strange. Elevator certificate was expired. Ice machine in second floor was out of order. Employee at check-out was polite, courteous and cheerful. Hotel needs to be cleaner and better customer service and comply with Marriott standards. I will say this, the pool was phenomenal.

Arrived to find out that the Bistro and lounge areas were closed "due to Covid" yet ever restaurant around the hotel was open. Appears "due to Covid" means we want to charge for the amenities but not provide them. Next morning I went to get coffee at the set time and after several trips and 30 mins after it was to be ready I gave up and went out for coffee. Rooms are very small and even though they had some updated furnishings this was just lipstick on a dated hotel.

Where do I start? At check in the Manager Debria Cudjoe was hard pressed to understand what a US Marshall is and expected us to provide additional identification. Moving along this same Manager called housekeeping while he was at the front desk to inquire if the room was clean. I suppose her housekeeping staff said it was because the manager checked us into the room. The room was basically clean, the bathroom not so much (see pics). We were down here on business so we were in and out. Day 2 awoke to a strong smell of weed on this “non smoking property”. So much so that we both got a headache. The next morning I went downstairs and requested to speak with a manager. Debria Cudjoe was dismissive and stated that I should have told her about the unclean bathroom 2 days ago. I explained as calmly as I could that we were out and about and I did not have the time prior to today to come down to the front desk to discuss these matters. I took the liberty of showing her pics and she said it is an old property and there is rust. Please see pics, that is not rust and I told her that. She then stated we could change rooms or she could have the room deep cleaned. I stated the room should have been cleaned prior to our arrival and that I would expect more compensation than to uproot our things and have a room cleaned as it should have been.
I go back upstairs and Debria calls and offers again to deep clean the room. Debria also asked on the phone if we “knew what direction the weed was coming from”. We told her that is not our job! We acquiesced to the room “deep cleaning “ On our way out she hands me a business card with her name and her GM’s name handwritten (see pic) so that I could send her the pics.
I would not even have posted this if not for the dismissive commentary of Debria. Never again!

First the computers were messed up at checkin. Ok that can happen. The room was smaller than expected as compared to other Marriotts and very tired. Absolutely no amenities in the bathroom. The shower had two shampoo dispensers but no conditioner and the towels were merely adequate. We asked for maid service and although they came the first day, they did not replenish the towels or coffee. They didn’t bother coming the next day at all. And this is not a super cheap hotel. Never again.

Hotel is very old. Room smelled of mildew, cabinet door falling off, A/C very loud, and bathroom was had lots of mildew. Shower wasn’t sloped so water just stood. Sink was leaking onto counter. Not sure how this is a Courtyard property but suffice to say, I won’t be returning.
Only redeeming quality was front-desk agent at check-in was super warm and welcoming.
Check-out agent was the opposite. When told of the above, they acted as if it wasn’t news and was normal.

We've stayed here a few times over the years and sadly, we've been watching it decline over that time. We won't consider going back after how bad this last experience was.
The problem here is a complete lack of professional management, and it shows.
For our entire stay, there was NO ONE at the front desk. It didn't matter the time of day or night, the desk was continually unmanned. There sometimes were two front desk agents on duty, but they'd always be hiding in the back office, playing on their phones. At one point we waited for 5 minutes before one of them bothered to come tot he desk. They weren't in uniforms, just street clothes.
The hotel is...old... but that's no excuse. The Courtyard on International Drive is even older, but immaculate. My own home is more than double the age of this property, still with original bathrooms, and doesn't look anywhere near this bad.
The shower was...disgusting. Take a look at the photos. This is more than just a single housekeeper having a bad day or bad week. That's months, if not longer, of buildup and mold. We wore our flip-flops in the shower.
The bed and sheets were clean and comfortable, and the carpet in the room was clean. I'll give them that.
Marriott Bonvoy benefits ARE NOT honored at this property. BEWARE. We requested late check-out and the hotel refused. Marriott's own legal contract says "This benefit is guaranteed" for Platinum and above members. Here's the kicker: The hotel was less than 50% occupied for the following night. I looked it up on a travel agent account.
There are other Marriott properties nearby which offer a much better experience. We've stayed at the Marriott, Residence Inn, and Westin at the next highway exit north and have had great stays there. Sometimes they're even less expensive than this Courtyard. Even if this Courtyard is less expensive, do yourself a favor and give it a pass. Spend the extra $ for a proper hotel, not this place.

We needed something conveniently located right off I-4 after a late flight into Sanford Airport. This Courtyard fit that description perfectly, easy on and off the Interstate. Parking spaces were plentiful even late at night. We got in late and left early, so we didn’t spend much time there. But, it did have a feeling of more like a Fairfield than a Courtyard. The bed was comfortable, the sheets were not. They have done some updates but some things were dated. The shower head leaked horribly. The staff was very friendly. They even had a complementary grab ‘n go breakfast bag, which was actually quite nice and a pleasant surprise.

Have stayed here once before and based on that experience we decided to book it again for it's proximity to family. Customer service this time could not have cared less if we were guests. The room smelled strongly of mildew the entire time. The morning coffee in the lobby was empty two of three mornings we went down (during the allotted hours), custodial staff seen standing around in the hallways chatting and on their phones. The rooms and the staff need a big upgrade.
