We enjoyed 9 nights at this amazing hotel booked through Virgin Holidays. Having stayed in various locations on the 192, they have usually been round the 535 area, whereas this hotel is just past Old Town.
The location is about 5 minutes from Disney, but we do not visit the parks. We like to travel locally and also visit the nature reserves as well as relaxing at a nice hotel pool.
The hotel has recently been renovated and is very modern, clean and comfortable. There are numerous buildings and we were in Reef (number 4) on the top - 8th - floor where the Disney fireworks were visible from our window. We had no trouble with lifts – as mentioned in other posts – and they were at each end of the corridors.
The bedrooms were modern, clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. We had two double beds, a full size fridge and tea/coffee making facilities - a balcony would have been wonderful.
Bottles of water were left in our room every day and there was an ice machine on the corridor.
The bathroom was also fully equipped with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, hairdryer and lots of towels.
All the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. We met Julia Spragg when leaving and she was very friendly.
The outside areas were always clean and tidy and well looked after. The Rum Shack staff were very efficient at serving drinks and food.
The main pool (which was unheated) was very scenic and relaxing, with a water fall and a slide into the pool. The second pool (which was heated) was basically a plain swimming pool. There was also a hot tub. Also there were ample sun loungers and pool towels. The only problem we found was at the weekend when the hotel was full and entertainment was on round the pool. Saturday and Sunday afternoon there was a DJ playing music which was so loud it was impossible to hold a conversation with the person sitting next to you. After a couple of hours on Saturday we gave up and didn’t go to the pool on Sunday either, but the music could be heard all over the hotel. Monday was quiet and peaceful again!
The hotel appears to be surrounded by car parks and there was no difficulty with parking.
There was a laundry area on the second floor which I thought was quite expensive. I worked out it would cost me $10 just to wash and dry a few bits and pieces.
This hotel will be my first choice if we visit again.

We have just returned after a 2 week stay. Overall, we were impressed, the hotel is kept very clean. We had a pool view room which was nice on the 4th floor. The rooms are very spacious and clean, the bathroom is a little basic but includes full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash which was a great added touch. The amenities in the room were great and with a full sized fridge, there were USB ports for chargers if you didn't have an adaptor. One thing to note is, they are carrying out building and maintenance works, however, that didn't effect us whilst we were there. There was some noise in the day time around the pool area, but again wasn't a problem for us. The pool area provides towels which is a great added touch.
There is a Starbucks in the lobby which is convenient, but prices are high. We had breakfast once and this was lovely, good choice of options and great service. The food in the bar was nice, the pizzas are great. There is also a Disney desk in the lobby for any information on the parks which is handy, especially for first timers.
Our only negatives of the trip were:
1. considering the hotel is a Disney neighbour hotel, the shuttle service wasn't great. We have stayed at other hotels which has provided a much better services and isn't a neighbour hotel. We found that we had to get Ubers most of the time because the shuttle times weren't regular, or too late in the day for us and they were always late! You do need to book shuttles 2 hours prior, however, we found that this wasn't checked (depending on the driver).
2. The jacuzzi around the pool area didn't work and there wasn't enough beds around the main (non-heated pool). We often found that people kept leaving there dirty towels and then not coming back. Also, they have pool staff to take your order but they were slow and not regularly there, so it was easier just to go in and order.
3. The rooms can sometimes be a bit noisy, but this isn't the hotels fault. We sometimes heard guests in the below rooms blaring music late at night, or guests shouting and slamming doors on our floor. We didn't make a fuss, but is worth noting.
One thing worth noting for those without a car and reliant on shuttles or Ubers. The location has some food restaurants close by (within walking distance) but there is no Supermarket other than a Walgreens which is on the other side of the road (a bit of a pain to cross).

We stayed one night while in Orlando to see a Christmas concert at the Basilica. I was a little apprehensive after reading some reviews but decided to book it. The location is very convenient to many Orlando attractions and the price is very reasonable.

The $25.00 resort fee included a $25.00 food/beverage voucher so we used it for the buffet. With the tax and gratuity the cost was $24.95 after applying the voucher credit. Definitely worth it!

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday booked through Virgin. The location of the hotel is perfect, about 7 mins from Disney and 25 from Universal, with lots of restaurants in the surrounding area. Housekeeping came every day, and always left bottles of water, clean towels etc. staff were lovely and really helpful. The only downsides were the price of food and drink in the hotel, $17 for a small glass of white wine! $19.90 for a buffet breakfast and this doesn’t include tax or service charge, we didn’t bother eating at the hotel when there are so many other places to try in the area. There does seem to be LOTS of young people who stay at this hotel in large groups, they were running up and down corridors at night, jumping into the pool in the evening fully clothed, slamming doors and generally having a fab time, which was annoying when trying to sleep, we did complain and the receptionist said they would send security up, however we don’t think actually happened. This may not be the case when it’s not the summer holidays! As I said, the selling point for this hotel is the location.

I was so nervous about staying here due to the very mixed reviews on here. But we (myself and DS) just returned back from an 11 day trip to Orlando from the UK. It was the first time travelling on my own with my child. The hotel was really easy to get to, not far from MCO at all. The hotel was amazing. We were warned at the reception desk that our room wouldn't be cleaned every single day so not to expect it. Which isn't unreasonable at all. But they did clean it every day anyway which was a lovely surprise to come back to after a day at the parks. We stayed in room 4806- we could see the Epcot ball and the tower of terror on the skyline and sometimes the fireworks too. The only thing I would complain about was that 4 out of 8 sockets in the main room weren't working. But we didn't need to use them anyway, so I didn't say anything. The pool is great. There is a bar and waitresses that you can order through next to the pool. Toilets are available for use under the waterfall next to the pool which means you dont have to walk anywhere far. Staff are lovely and attentive. Parks were sometimes as low as $6 in a LYFT. literally right round the corner. A short walk from the hotel there is a couple of restaurants, an a mini supermarket that sold important things like milk, snorkels and cigarettes. They have an onsite Starbucks opposite reception in the main lobby which was lovely to get an iced coffee on the way to the parks. I'm not a fussy person at all. This hotel is excellently priced for what you get. We will 100% return and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I would avoid staying at this hotel. I am surprised that Marriott puts it's name on this property. The lobby, pool and close proximity to Orlando attractions are the positive features. However, the quality of the rooms and lack of security leave a lot to be desired.
My 14 year old daughter and I were traveling with her volleyball team and stayed during March 2024. There is an abandoned resort that is adjacent to this hotel, that definitely caused concern for safety. You did not need to use a key card to enter the parking lot (ever) or access to the hotel buildings during day light. We encountered several questionable people in the parking lots that were clearly not staying at the hotel, which caused security concerns for cars in the parking lot and personal safety.
The room smelled like mold, and the air conditioner was very loud and did not stop running. The bathroom was very small and cheaply renovated. We are a Marriott member and would never return to this location, as we expect a certain level of safety and hotel amenities that were lacking at this property.

We encountered several questionable people in the parking lots that were clearly not staying at the hotel, which caused security concerns for cars in the parking lot and personal safety.
The room smelled like mold, and the air conditioner was very loud and did not stop running. The bathroom was very small and cheaply renovated. We are a Marriott member and would never return to this location, as we expect a certain level of safety and hotel amenities that were lacking at this property.

I am writing this on my last night of staying as a family of 3 for a 7 night Disney trip booked through Virgin.
The hotel is perfectly situated in Kissimmee, close by shops, restaurants and easy quick access to Disney Parks.
The check in was extremely easy and quick. The hotel lobby smells amazing, is ultra modern and clean and has a bar, eating area and Starbucks too.
While we never used the pool or the Pointe restaurant, both looked great, with perfectly kept grounds surrounding.
We stayed on the 5th floor of Cove building, the room was clean, well equipped and bathroom with a bath.
The room cleaning service was superb, our room cleaned daily, with bed linen changed, fresh towels, toilet roll and 2 bottles of water left each day.
Lastly, a special mention to Cory front of house reception, who from our initial check in was warm and friendly, happy to answer any questions throughout our stay and was a pleasure to deal with.
I recommend this hotel highly to anyone no matter what budget you have, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic property - Jonathan at the Front Desk is AMAZING!!! First hotel that I've ever stayed at that gives you your resort fee back in onsite credit. SUCH a perk. The breakfast buffet is so so delicious and the Disney + Universal shuttles are fab, also a Starbucks in the lobby and fitness classes daily!!! Huge fan of this hotel, much more value than the price that you pay for it. One weird thing is that the cleaning staff does not work after 6pm so if anything happens you cannot get your room cleaned until the next day.

Firstly I'd like to say it's a such shame as the hotel it's self was the bar/reception pool etc were nice and even the room was ok but dated and could be doing with an upgrade.
However it was the lack of customer service and some unfortunate events that happened during ny stay would make me never recommend this hotel
1. Toilet in the room - from the minute we got to our room till the minute we checked out our toilet had been leaking for 6 full day/nights. I went to reception on several occasions and each time I was told someone would be up to fix it but then never happened which resulted in us having to use towels on the bathroom constantly. On one occasion I was promised by the reception manager that someone would be up to fix it I then went out for a few hours and on my return....no toilet had been fixed. It was the customer service that I received from reception staff who didn't even seem to care when I did complain several times. I was then misinformed by 2 of the reception team one telling me my toilet was unfixable and I'd be moved room then another telling me someone had been into look at it and it was fixed just waiting on selant drying and then around a minute later told that noone had been in and they would send someone up at 9pm...don't think so. Noone seemed overly bothered by this and on checking out 6 days after checking in the toilet was still leaking.. Good luck to the next set of quests checking in to that room!

Room door left open - after being out all day at universal we returned back to our room door open, my first thought it was the maintenence team as they had been in to fix the toilet (wishful thinking) then realising that it was housekeeping who had left the door open, I then headed to complain to once again be met by unhelpful reception staff who didn't seem to care about the fact my door had been open for potentially hours and anyone could of been in my room and through all of our stuff. After requesting to speak with manager I spoke with a female reception manager, who did apologise but also seemed uninterested in the matter saying 'what would you like me to do about it' this attitude was disgusting and the thought of my door being left open for hours with all my stuff in view to anyone walking past. I expect when I stay in a hotel that my belongs be safe.
3. Missing croc - I had been at the pool wore my crocs from the pool to my room then quick change and out for dinner on returning a few hours later to our room being cleaned beds changed etc. It was in the morning when I discovered I was a Croc missing after searching the room it was definitely missing, again met by unhelpful reception team who phoned housekeeping and said it wasn't there and that was it. So I now have a new pair of crocs that i purchased before my holiday that I can no longer wear as I only have one and noone seemed I'm the least bit interested.

This Hotel was far below the standards that a Marriott or any hotel should hold. My family and I were shocked and disgusted by the condition of the hotel rooms and we frankly felt very unsafe staying there. We had just spent the day traveling with an exhausted four-year-old and had reservations set up for dinner in Disney World. Upon entering our first room, we were immediately greeted by a very strong must/mold/mildew smell. The air conditioner was visibly moldy. There was no hairdryer, and the safe did not work. I called down to the desk to get the safe repaired and then proceeded to use the restroom. As soon as I sat down, the toilet seeped water leaking from the front all over my socks. After taking them off I stepped out of the restroom into the main part of the room the carpet was completely soaked. I have no idea what the source of it was. At that point, I walked down to the reception area and requested that we be moved, due to the many issues we were experiencing with the room. The staff kindly gave us a new room, so we had to collect all our things and move to a different building. The second room was even worse than the first. The air conditioner loudly rattled the entire time, there were huge water spots and water damage, it was filthy and dusty, and some parts were even rusted beyond repair. The outlet next to the bed did not work. The bathroom was missing tiles, the door was in terrible condition, there was toothpaste on the wall, lipstick on the lampshade, the shower head was literally falling off, the safe again didn't work and was rusting and peeling, and there was a huge hole in the door frame of the bathroom leaving jagged, rusty, metal out. The television was pixilated and patchy when it worked, and the room smelled like mildew and dust again. I couldn't believe this was thought to be acceptable from a Marriott Hotel. In addition to the severity of the rooms, I tried three different ice machines that were all nonfunctioning and a nonfunctioning elevator. My family and I did not feel safe spending our vacation at a place in such terrible condition. We checked out less than 24 hours after arriving. This was a family trip to Disney World and this stay made us feel like our safety was completely disregarded as guests in a Marriott Hotel.

Yes, you'll have to pay for parking. In my case it was additional.
The room storage is very limited, about the hangers, you will have to ask.
The resort fees are.a.joke. yes they have a pool and hot tub. That's it. So does everyone else. I'm not sure whatnthe resort.fees are for. We were not expecting this charge as we pre paid on expedia.as well.
