The Berkley is a luxury condo-style resort. This was converted from a luxury quarter share ownership to a timeshare ownership resort. The resort is managed by Vacation Villages that has their huge primary property about 6 miles away. The location is just west of Disney on the 192 corridor. If you know where Orange Lake Resort is located, The Berkley shares the same lake-front on the opposite side. We stayed in a 3 bedroom 3 bath and is one of the largest units in the timeshare industry. You will not find a more aesthetically pleasing unit. Upgraded architecture and accents throughout. Two master bedrooms (kings) and huge walk in closets and super huge private master baths. The third bedroom has two twins and there is a separate guest bath. The master baths both have large jetted spas and large separate showers. The toilets are also private in separate enclosed room. Both master bedrooms have access to the fully screened in balcony lanai which also has a large overhead fan for comfort. The guest bathroom is standard tub/shower but plenty big for every day use. The kitchen is extremely nice with oversized refrigerator. The kitchen is well stocked but seems bare because there are so many cabinets plus a huge pantry. But this was originally designed for long term luxury stays so it makes sense. The staff is super responsive and very friendly. This is a great place to stay whether just relaxing at the property or coming back from a long day at the parks. Will definitely return for future stays!

This is a lovely place, well constructed, nice layout, feels quiet even tho it’s just off the main drag. Our two bedroom, two bath was very roomy, perfectly clean, and extremely comfortable. I especially liked the screened deck with doors from both the living area and master bedroom. The kitchen was spacious and pretty well equipped. The main building was very nice, the pools just the right size and very clean, very nice gym and game rooms and common areas including a deck and hut tub. From the deck you can see gorgeous firework from the theme parks on certain nights of the week. This is called a resort but is really more like a condo rental. They try with some activities but can’t compete with a true resort or top tier hotel. But it was many levels above what you would get from a typical chain hotel for the same price and super comfy, clean, quiet, safe, and spacious. There was a resort fee which was a bummer and twice a week housekeeping was plenty for our stay. It is very close to the theme parks and has a shuttle. Not too much in terms of good food nearby, mostly chains, but within 20-30 minute ride we were able to find some better quality restaurants and a good Whole Foods. There are less expensive Publix supermarkets very nearby too. Orlando is not really my thing but would recommend this place to others for a different Orlando experience.

Just finished our stay at The Berkley. What a wonderful mini trip from Ft. Myers away hustle and bustle of the parks.

The suite was huge, screened in porch, large living area, 6 person dining table, 3BR, 3BA, 2 bathrooms had Jacuzzi's the kids loved. The kitchen had all the amenities, pots, pans, plates, silverware etc. They supplied dish soap, dishwasher soap, detergent, dryer sheets, paper products. While there isn't services, fresh towel and sheets were dropped off mid stay.

The kids enjoyed the game room and the prizes were actually winnable. Pools were clean, the main pool is heated, smaller pool is not, they also had a hot tub. We did use, because it was on the cooler side a couple days.  I would suggest bringing your own towels as their towels are small and rough.

We would definitely stay here again.

Shopping tip- go down the street for tons have Disney souvenirs.

Called months ahead to request a first floor room which was annotated during our check-in. We were very early and got to use the pool while waiting. Was a little disappointed how long it took to get a room, but it was early so I can't be too upset. I was hoping they would have identified with house keeping which room and helped to bump it up to being cleaned earlier. The resort only has two buildings so it is not for someone looking for the large resort experience. Nice pool with a small hot tub and additional pool right in the beautiful main pool area. The bar was closed up and looked like it hadn't been used since pre-covid. Hopefully they are ready to bring that back soon. Game room was good for the kids and pool tables are nice. Kids liked playing ping pong outside. The movie theater is neat but we didn't use it since there is no food (popcorn) allowed while in there viewing the movie. The deal breaker for us was the pool closing time. Published closing time is 10 but when my wife and I went to go for a last minute hot tub at 940 we were told that the pool was closing now. They did this every night we were there and we soon realized it is because at 10 the front desk personnel are driving away. Old signs in the pool area had the closing listed at 11 and the front desk states that it is 10. It was disappointing especially since the first night we got turned away set the view regarding their hospitality prioritizes. I don't feel this resort should trade for the amount of power or have the Gold Crown based on the amount of services provided. The pool area really is nice although there was 90s rock music playing through the speakers most of the time.

Location good. Close to restaurants, shopping, golf, parks, etc. Small resort. Staff courteous and professional. Resort grounds were well maintained. 2bed 2 bath unit needed updating with lighting and furniture. Tile floors were dirty. Carpet should be cleaned more often to eliminate cooking smells.

We stayed a week at The Berkley while we visited Disney World. We reserved a 4 bedroom and it was beautiful, spacious, and well laid out. It was an easy drive to Animal Kingdom and the other Disney parks. The staff stated that they would call mid-week to check on any needs, and they did call and delivered towels, dish soap, toilet paper, and anything else we asked for. We called and booked a time to watch a movie in the theater. It was easy and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Lovely theater and fun for the family. The surrounding area is well kept and attractive. I highly recommend this resort.

The location is great if you’re wanting to spend a lot of time at Disney. There are grocery stores and restaurants nearby also. Irlo Bronson Freeway tends to have a lot of traffic. We booked a 2 bedroom and honestly the layout was great, felt like a home. Desperately needs some updating however. Fresh paint would be nice but the main issues we had were: 1. our shower heads were terrible.. near drowned us trying to take a shower every night; 2. we thought the fire alarm was going off numerous times and called the front desk for help but later figured out it was the doorbell! Seriously! 3. Our master bedroom had a queen instead of a king bed.
We have been RCI members for about 18 years now. We do feel their Gold Crown category cannot be depended on anymore…. Makes it really hard to book something because you never know what you’re going to get.

It was a great stay, everything was well maintained rooms were clean and we loved the pool area. I would see a maintenance person everyday doing something to improve or maintain the facility. The front desk staff were polite and attentive, and the cleaning staff were always friendly and responsive. We stayed in building 2 and our suite was perfect for the family.
The pools and jacuzzi were crystal clear and clean, we must have been in them almost everyday. Really liked the gates and security check in after 10pm when the main gate was closed. We also used the grill for one dinner and it worked perfectly. The facility did have more to offer but obviously the draw was the closeness to all Disney parks, so that’s what we did. Plenty of shopping and all the food spots and grocery stores you could think of were in the area. We will be going back to this spot if we head to Disney again, hopefully it can keep up what it’s doing. They definitely earned my 5 stars! Wonderful experience, great job.
Thanks

In over 30 years of traveling to the Orlando area, the Berkeley is the worst facility we have ever stayed at. There are not activities on site. Even the pool side bar is closed. While the lobby looks nice, the rest of the facility is simple, tired and poorly designed. Our room was very small with only one small bed is the 2nd bedroom and almost no space for storing clothes. I could go on and on but we have stayed at many other facilities in the area and actually own At Orange Lake. They Berkeley is not in the same league as most others considered in the same category. Orange Lake and Summer Bay are both within a mile of the Berkeley and are excellent facilities to consider.

The room itself was wonderful. It was clean and the personnel are very friendly. Except for the front desk. We weren't given very good directions to find our building as the front desk staff really wish to get rid of us. Then in our last day our flight is not until 3:00 so we asked for late check out. After charging us a resort fee for a pool with no amenities, and absolutely nothing else on the property, they decided they wanted to charge us $25 an hour to stay until 12:00 and then after 12:00 half day. Most resorts in this area, just down the street will give complimentary until 12:00. That's where we're staying next time.
