Vacation Village at Parkway offers guests a spacious stay with ample amenities and a relaxing atmosphere accentuated by well-maintained grounds and several pools. Although the central location near Disney parks is a highlight, some guests have experienced issues with noise and inconsistent service.
While the rooms are generally praised for their size, concerns about cleanliness and dated decor persist. Travelers are divided on the value, noting unexpected fees against the backdrop of the resort's convenience and overall cleanliness.

Detailed Reviews
Location to Disney parks is great, there is a Publix grocery store, Dunkin and restaurants nearby. Property is family friendly but run down like a neglected family cottage (functioning but not ideal). Bedspreads could be updated and paint is dull, light switches are awkward and a nuisance. Also jetted tubs are not my thing as they are antiquated and not very sanitary. The parking was a pain and signage around the property could stand to be much better, even finding the right entrance and rooms was difficult.
Staff was nice and you can tell they work hard, but it's evident that management doesn't appropriately allocate funding to keep it in a condition that would make it hard to beat. Plusses are they allow small pets less than 35 pounds (I think, I suggest double checking first) for a reasonable fee, although it would be cool if they offered dog walking service for an added charge.
The shuttle service to the grocery is ok, but transportation to the parks both Disney or Universal is awkward, too late for a morning start and too early for a mid day start, and the last return is so early you're essentially not benefitting from it.
In a nutshell, nice location but outdated. If you get a good deal it's worth it if not it's a timeshare location so just be mindful to attempted sales pitches.

Vacation Village never dissapoints! My Mum owns timeshare there (double unit) and has for many years, we try to get to Florida at least every other year. Our experience has always a pleasant one. Rooms are always clean, fresh linen brought to the room upon request, comfortable beds, pool towels are always stocked and all the basic kitchen utencils are available. Best part is the full kitchen (cause the kids are always hungry) with washer and dryer! The drive to Universal was less than 20 min, and convenient. My family stayed in buildiing 9 ( seems we always do) although there are newer more updated buildings.. we like this one. See you next visit! Thank You!

I had a wonderful stay at the Vacation Village at Parkway in Orlando! The rooms were incredibly spacious and spotless, offering a home-like comfort that made it easy to feel as if I could move right in. The resort grounds and multiple pools were impeccably maintained, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and always willing to help, enhancing the experience with their excellent service. I especially appreciated the convenient location, which put me just minutes away from Disney parks, great restaurants, and shopping. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect Orlando getaway!

The photos must have been taken when this resort was much newer. Our room looked worn out, old and tired. The dishes in the cupboard were dirty. The refrigerator looked dirty, but it was just worn. The cupboards stuck closed from the spacers being old and worn, and they looked old. The dishwasher didn't work, so when we tried to wash the dirty dishes left in the cupboards, they still didn't get clean. There was water left in the bottom of the dishwasher, so we had to wash dishes by hand. The only problem was we weren't given any dishcloths, towels, or pot holders. We had to call three times before we receive just dishtowels. The washing machine agitator would come completely out of the machine when we took clothes out of the washer. We didn't receive any shampoo or coffee and when we called we were told they don't provide that any longer. We didn't receive any hand towels for the bathroom, so also had to call to get those three times. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The couch cushions were disfigured and the couch was very uncomfortable. We heard a noise outside at one point and looked and there was a cart driving around spraying bug spray outside, with no warning and even with people about. The location was close to the freeway, which was convenient, however we were very concerned about very nearby abandoned buildings. There was an old motel that we could see had the windows broken out and people were staying in the rooms with graffiti all over them. I don't recommend staying here. The pictures are misleading and make you think it is much nicer than it is, so don't be fooled. They did give us a late checkout when we asked since we had a late flight home so we appreciated that. We didn't feel like we could relax there in the evenings because the furniture just wasn't comfortable. Our doors didn't close all the way unless you pushed them closed firmly, so we had to be careful to remember to do that for safety. The grounds aren't very pretty, just very average.

Thanks for your review. We're sorry if our resort did not meet your expectations. As mentioned on our resort's website, under the FAQ section, "Vacation Village at Parkway will only include a sample-size bar soap in the bathrooms. However, we recommend that you bring your own toiletries." The suites also come with a drip coffee maker and a starter pack of coffee filters. We wish you better future vacations.

We were placed in Building 19 which was near a pool and hot tub but far from any of the activities in the main building which was such a pity given that we were 16 people including small kids (1 and 3 yrs). We tried to relocate but were told that we would be in the old part of the complex. Our front desk folks did not appear to like their jobs and were not friendly at all. The maintenance folks on the other hand were so helpful and friendly and prompt to respond. I cannot believe that this location does not provide any toiletries of any kind except small bar soap. No shampoo, conditioner, body lotion or coffee. We were told that we could receive only one welcome package with toilet paper, dish soap and detergent. What??? They also wanted to charge me 20$ for a playpen! Are you kidding me? This should be complimentary! The showers needed to be descaled and the water sprayed in every direction which was not fun with small children. We had 4 units and the units did not have all of the standard equipment ie frying pan, strainer, pots etc... and we had to piece together items between 4 units for any dinner. Come on Orlando, you can do better than this. This is my home resort and I am very disappointed in the quality here, especially since we just stayed at the VV in the Berkshires and thought they were great! This location does not feel like a GOLD property!

First and foremost, thank you for being a valued owner of Vacation Village Resorts. Most people want to be in building 19, so we are surprised to hear that you were unhappy to be placed there. It's one of our most popular buildings. As an owner, I hope that you can appreciate that we do not supply toiletries for a resort this size as it can be quite expensive and would have a negative impact on your maintenance fees. We strive to be good stewards of our owner's funds. We have shared your review with the Resort Manager for his review and consideration. We look forward to sending you on another memorable vacation soon. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

While this is a beautiful resort with great pools, great location, and very comfortable, many things were very frustrating.
We have been here 2 weeks (checking out tomorrow). Upon arrival, there was no frying pan, no dishcloth, no washcloths, one bar of soap (to split between the shower and the sinks, really?), 1 garbage bag for the kitchen, 1 garbage bag for the bathroom, and 1 single use box of laundry soap. When we called to ask for things, it was hit or miss; they might bring it, they might not.
When we requested a frying pan, they sent a small one (not sure if it is 6" or 8") too small to cook a meal for 2 people. I called another day and asked for a large fry pan,
and received another small one.
When we asked for a dishcloth, they sent an entire bundle of towels for the unit, but still no dishcloth. In fact, we never did get one at all; they must not have any.
When we asked for laundry soap, we received dish soap and bar soap. When we requested it again, we finally received 1 box. We called and asked for at least 2 boxes (in this heat, your clothes get stinky and sweaty when out all day in the heat). They sent 1 box along with a full set of towels again and dishwasher detergent, more dish soap, toilet paper, bar soap and paper towels. Frequently, we were given similar bags of excess supplies, when we only asked for one or 2 things. Today, it took several hours and 3 phone calls to get laundry detergent to wash our clothes before we begin packing to keave tomorrow.
As other reviews have mentioned, bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and lotion; they don't provide them. We were prepared for this, so that wasn't a problem.
We went to their timeshare presentation; they seemed to be proud of the fact that they don't have many amenities because it keeps their maintenance fees lower than other places. I would suggest that by trying to be cheap (only giving 1 bar of soap, one box of laundry detergent or 1 garbage bag), they are spending far more by having to have enough staff to bring things to you all the time, and by giving you things you don't need (wasteful). Other resorts where we have stayed, we have been able to get extra soap, dishsoap, laundry detergent from the front desk, but not here. We have never had so much trouble getting what we need, and we've stayed at many timeshare resorts over the years.
We did have a good vacation and enjoyed everything else about this resort. We had a beautiful unit that was very confortably furnished. We had a beautiful view of the fireworks from Epcot and the Magic Kingdom from the 14th floor of building 20 (poolside). We had requested this location and were pleased that we were able to have this unit for our 2 week stay.
Great resort, but they just need to pay more attention to detail in order to improve guest relations.

We were not sure how'd this resort would be with very few pet friendly options, but were very happily surprised! The staff was very welcoming, not at all pushy with timeshare tours. The rooms were very clean and had most of the necessary pans, utensils etc. While we were there we saw a few groups check out, and watched the cleaning team come in and clean the pet friendly units extremely thoroughly, definitely worth paying the $125! Very close to all the Disney parks, about 12 minutes away from any of the parks. There is a Publix, Walgreens etc. across the street for all your needs. The only thing this resort is missing is a pool bar/food service to give it the full service resort feel. Gym is lacking.

This was our first stay at Parkway. The ease of check-in and check-out were seamless. The resort and our two units of an A and C were very clean. Our C unit had updated wooden furniture while the A unit's wooden furniture was visibly worn and included a bedroom bureau where the top drawer was broken and would not stay closed. It meant being cautious not to catch a part of your body on it when you passed by and to keep the drawer closed with your hand if you were accessing a lower drawer to prevent it from hitting you in the head. The mattresses in both units were equivalent to sleeping on a piece of plywood board. Pain in my lower back had me up most nights. Mind you I do have some back issues, but I have never stayed at a resort where the quality of the mattress kept me up at night. Lastly, I've been a member of RCI for 20+ years. I have stayed at many resorts/timeshares and haven't once stayed at a resort that didn't provide shampoo and conditioner. Parkway only supplies 2 bars of soap for each bathroom. For the washer and dryer you are provided one packet of laundry detergent for your week's stay. Again, I've always been provided with at least 2-3. While I appreciate reducing waste and cost, I'm also paying for these small conveniences that should automatically be provided.

Our 4th or 5th time here. It's the only timeshare in Orlando left where you are guaranteed a jacuzzi in all Full Kitchen suites, sometimes 2 (A/C unit) ,All 2 bedrooms are lockouts. All units have balconies and washer dryers..even the studio ( partial kitchen). Clean, spacious, easy access. Only wish would be to have bars and restaurants at the pools or anywhere on site, rather than the hotdog/hamburger wagon that only comes to one or two pools for a couple of hours. Also needs a gift/grocery store. For those reasons alone, we book different resorts when travelling with friends..just so we can stay on property more. Other than that, there's everything you need. They recently sold the entire company to Vacatia, so I'm curious (and anxious) to see what changes will be made to the fees and amenities. Already they took out the lobby coffee and charge $1 for that cheap watery slop.

The 90's era pictures of the units at this place are out of date, and the unit we stayed in was very nicely updated. Nice and close to disney parks. Uber trips were between $12 and $40 depending on resort and surge pricing.
