Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We did a day trip from Miami to Key West. On our way back, we decided to take a rest midway.

Sea Cove is one of the budget friendly options. While the rooms are quite small and just enough for resting, it is quite near to nice restaurants and viewing areas.

There is no wifi in the rooms and no other amenities within this place. I do hope management could look into having at least wifi for future travellers.

I chose the Resort as it was cheap and I was in town for meetings. The bed was comfortable and the hot water was hot. There was a small refridgerator and a TV. No coffee maker!!! And the gas station next door did not sell hot coffee. The room was filthy - I chose to ignore it as I felt safe enough.

Imagine your self whisked away into your favorite 1970's horror movie. Now take it to a 3rd world country backdrop. Add a little charm. Then there is this place, a combination of all the above. The special parts are really in the details. Ceiling fan? Who needs blades on that? Towels? Here's one, more then one person with you? Good bring your own? Ever stayed at that pesky 4 star hotel where the maid knocks on your door at 8am to clean your room? This is the perfect place, because we don't have a maid. Noises, one old light bulb when there should be 4? Don't worry this place has that. Mold? Mildew? It has it all. It looks like the paint guy comes once year and slops more white paint all over the mold.
If your looking for a great place to stay that's clean, nice linens, things work, feel safe, aren't always looking over your shoulder, you need to look else where. However if you want to have an over priced experience, book now, you won't regret it!

The rooms are cement block probably from the 40's. The bedspread was flowered 50's style but almost white with bleach. The air conditioner in the wall (window air conditioner) was noisy as hell, the bathroom was the size of a linen closet and filty. The TV had tubes in it!!! The office is in what looked to be a U-Haul trailer off to the side. When we arrived, someone was spraying outside for bugs. The driveway was crushed shell with huge potholes, and the area looked to be in the middle of an industrial area. Save your money!!!

Wasn’t clean in the least. Lots of hair of past guests. No hangers. No drawers. Only one television channel. Bring your own pillow, bring your own fitted sheet, bring your own shower sandals. Do not make contact with bed spreads. Noisy 2 nights from highway. Noisy from early morning landscaper machines.
Please take note of their cancellation policy. I booked online. This place will not let you out for any reason whatsoever, even if sick. They will keep all of your money even if you try to cancel five days out. I’m trying to find something good to say about this place, let’s see, the air conditioner leaning out the window barely hanging-on was cold. Basically these guys don’t care about the guests or the consistent poor reviews. Shame on the owners. They’re just taking advantage of their location.
You’ve been warned.

We decided to drive through the keys for a long weekend. Unfortunately for us, we didn’t pre-plan a place to stay. We ended up here. Over $300 for the night due to the holiday and they should be ashamed for charging anything close to that. The beds are simply a mattress thrown on a $20 metal frame that you buy at Walmart. 2 chairs that had so many stains on the seats that no one in their right mind would sit there. The shower was a very nice size but it doesn’t drain well so by the end of my shower I was ankle deep in standing water. One of the windows in our room was broken so they put a towel over it. It could be such a cute place if some money was spent to update it but until then it will remain a 1 star or less. Thank goodness we were able to find a fabulous place to stay the next night of our trip!

Better to sleep on a park bench. Old dilapidated bungalows, Dirt, and grime everywhere. Mold in the shower. Sink separated from the wall. Unflushed toilet paper in the bowl. One hanger in the closet (hanger still has "M" band from a clothing store on it). WiFi was only available near the office, not in the room. No coffee machine. No microwave. Old style window airconditioner is way too loud and does not cool adequately. Too much money for too little product!!!

Scariest room ever, way overpriced. Creepy pictures on the wall, leaky shower, loud traffic, crappy mattress on fold out frame, dirty old furniture, Bates motel vibes. I dropped my key off at 6am and paid a little more for a nicer room elsewhere.

Unfancy but clean, spacious, and awesome. Compared to more expensive places, this feels homey and comfortable rather than generic and sterile. The proprietor is a gem. Within walking distance of bars and restaurants.
Would definitely stay here again.

We have no problem with simple accommodations. However this place is an absolute dump. We checked in with the gentleman in the booth, walked to our room and were absolutely appalled by the condition. We went back to the booth to check out, knowing that we had signed the paperwork, to ask about getting a refund. The gentleman refused to give us his first name or the name of the company that owns the property. Truly folks, do not book a room at this location.
