My son and I stayed at Fisher Inn for a midweek mini vacation and it was just great. We were concerned about the crowds so opted for midweek and Fisher Inn had good Covid-19 policies. Our room was on the second level with stairs and we wanted to avoid elevators so that was perfect. We had a balcony that faced the sunsets and plenty of parking. The room was neat and tidy. The room was not cleaned during our 3 day stay because of Covid and we were ok with that! The staff was very attentive and ready to drop off fresh towels and empty trash cans that we left outside the door. Breakfast was prepared in a grab & go bag and only one guest at a time in the lobby to social distance.
The resort has a lovely view of the ocean with a lot of boat activity at the lighthouse. There were paddle boards and kayaks available along with vests. Fisher Inn is steps away from Theater of the Sea and a very short ride to Post Card inn so perfectly located. We were very happy with our stay and will return on our next trip to the middle keys!

When we arrived, we were able to launch our boat and take right off. A tip for anyone staying here- Once you launch your boat, hug the rock wall. Go left from the launch, stay next to the dock, continue to hug the rock wall that follows the resort next door and continue on until you reach the point to the left of the resort. I cannot stress this enough. Stay against the shore until you reach the point to the left looking out from the back of the resort. From there, there is a channel you can go straight into. Continue to follow this channel, and go straight then slightly to the right and you will reach alligator reef. You will see the structure in the distance. Follow this channel to the end, take a hard right and you will reach the beautiful sand bar.
As for the hotel-
I was not thrilled with the afternoon service. The man was a little helpful but the woman was not. The woman during the day, Stephanie was terrific! She was very cheery and asked if I needed anything about a million times which was wonderful. I was disappointed that I did not have a full fridge, sink, or couch in our villa. I thought this was standard as that is what the photos show but it is not. There are only certain rooms that provide this. This is important if you are like me, and pack food and dinner for a couple days and nights that you are there. There is one gas grill that works perfectly outside the villas. The pool is well kept and they have corn hole, bikes, paddle boards, and kayaks. I asked for a blanket and the night crew forgot until about 9pm. I left towels outside and they took them but did not replenish the stock until I went the next day and requested new ones. Most people were outgoing and listening to music all night - but not so loud you could hear it anywhere but their own room. Only about 1.5 hours from Key West this was a great find and I will definitely stay here again! The room was huge!

This hotel is a remodel from the hurricane and is on the ocean side! It is centrally located in Islamorada across from a state park and near the city park. The rooms are clean and easy to spend a week in!
We loved the pool and the dock fishing. We also loved the free use of kayaks and paddle boards.
Jen was wonderful! She gave us good references on places to eat and was so helpful with any help we needed. We have been to Islamorada many times but have always found our accommodations either way expensive or just plan dumps!

My sister and I were taking a road trip through the keys with Islamorda about half way through our trip. We found fisher inn very last minute, but we absolutely loved it. We had a two double bed room with balcony, the rooms are tastefully decorated with a 'sea side' theme and the bathrooms are gorgeous. But what really made the stay for us was the staff, upon check in Thomas was an absolute delight and made us feel so welcome - he went above and beyond to try and get us an early check in and provide us with some great restaurants, and activities in the local area. We loved the Florida Brewing Company and the Florida Paddle boarding company!) We were only staying for one night, but as it was so good we decided to stay another night on our way back to Miami and Thomas sorted this out for us upon check out. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Our stay at the Fisher Inn was decent.

Pros:
The beds were comfortable.
There’s a boat ramp on site and also plenty of boat and trailer parking.
Convenient location for both boating and accessing restaurants.
The AC unit in the room worked great. There’s a ceiling fan too.
We had great customer service every time we interacted with the front desk.

Cons:
Very thin walls/doors - we could easily hear our neighbors in the sea side villa. The adjoining door seemed to be the issue more than the walls with letting sound through. Luckily we only had an issue with noisy neighbors one night. This is honestly my biggest issue with this hotel.

Parts of the room seemed clean (towels, sheets) but other parts didn’t. The tops of the baseboards were really dusty/hairy/dirty and the walls in the bathroom really needed wiped down.

Beware:
Not really a con and only if you’re bringing a boat - the boat channel to get out of the hotel is narrow with a rock wall on one side and coral rock on the other. You can take a boat out at any tide but you need to really pay attention. It’s very easy to see the channel on Google Maps satellite view.

Recommendations to management:
The villa was cute but would be really amazing and memorable if there were more colorful furnishings! The room is really sparsely furnished. No headboards for the beads and the walls are pretty bare. The green metal chairs for the table were really uncomfortable and could use some pads.

Dusting the baseboards in between guests would go a long way!

Where do I start. If you're trying to save money, I guess this is your place. Toilet paper holder broken so every time you touched it, the TP fell on the floor. Safe in the room was inoperable and I was told that "none of the safes work" but we had friends in another room and theirs worked. Maid service is basically an exchange of towels at the front door. We asked for a total clean mid week and got it so there's a plus. There are only two kayaks to use and one sinks. Of the four bikes, one (the one I had) has a broken seat. Pool towels are constantly in short supply. There were only two umbrellas at the pool. The beds, yikes, my bunk in the Navy was more comfortable. And you better not be in a hurry for hot water as that takes a few minutes. I love dogs, but they don't belong on vacation and there were a few all week. It's to bad because with a little effort, it could be a nice little place.

My friends and I were driving to Key West, and decided to stop for the night. We found the Fisher Inn on google, and we got the last 2 rooms for the night. It was a little more expensive than we had wished to spend, but we figured prices would be similar in the Keys, so we booked it. What a pleasant experience!! When we arrived, there were two people checking in ahead of us and quickly a few more arrived right behind us. Chantise, who was working the desk, was so pleasant, professional and multitasking like crazy while keeping all of us organized and getting us situated. It was a fantastic experience! The hotel is really cute, nice little pool area and a fire pit, kayaks and bikes available for guests. It was located within walking distance of several bars and restaurants, which they have recommendations available for guests.
While our stay was short, we all agreed what a great experience it was. If I find myself in Islamorada again, I would definitely stay there again! And thank you again Chantise for everything you do! You were amazing! Great customer service!

Fisher Inn resort is the most awesome place for a destination wedding in Islamirda. From the perfect set up of having your ceremony, reception & accommodations for all your guests all in one location to the way they treated us like we owned the place. The staff Ashley, Thomas, Brandon and all of their crew couldn’t do enough for us. We were treated like royalty! We booked almost all the rooms and it was like a private vacation for our 75 family members & guests.
The rooms are all fully renovated, the grounds are kept spotless and whenever you asked an employee for anything they made it happen. You made our daughter & son in law’s dream wedding happen and we cannot begin to thank you for all you did.

We stayed during the pandemic in June 2020. Given the circumstances, the hotel was very clean and diligent to observe safety of their guests. We enjoyed the free use of the kayaks and paddle boards, ping pong and towels by the pool. It was also nice to have the microwave and fridge in the room. It was convenient location to good eats and not too far to upper and lower keys. Beautiful little waterfront property! The only suggestion we have for the owners, is to install better cooling units in the rooms. It wasn't super hot, but set on the lowest setting, we were a little uncomfortable at night and when we were trying to get ready. Hot showers really made it hot. I cannot imagine it being suitable for hotter months. Other than that, we would stay again!
