A cozy Islamorada Resort Tucked away at the end of a quiet road where the land meets the ocean is where you will find your escape. Our small Islamorada resort is a throwback to a gentler era, a more laid-back time in the Florida Keys. A secluded paradise for those who seek a casual spot to chill, a place to grill the fish you caught, a gorgeous sunrise to greet you in the morning, peddle bikes to carry you to seaside lunch spots, hammocks for reading or napping, kayaks to explore the pristine ocean waters that meet our doorstep and the easy energy of a small family inn with the amenities of island life. A boater's paradise with protected harbor dockage, trailer parking, fish cleaning station, bait freezer and more!

First time staying and definitely will not be the last. The staff is super friendly amd helpful. Accommodations were very reasonable and the grounds were immaculate. Rooms were very clean and updated. Brought our boat and the marina was very nice and well equipped with multiple hose bibs with attached garden hose and nozzles and electrical outlets. Dockage has a nice enclosed buffer from the Atlantic waters when it gets choppy. Take caution just outside of marina and stay in makeshift channel. Very rocky outside of marina.

A family member referred us to RE. We booked a week stay and Apryl was more than helpful. The boat slip was easy to use and the water hose at each slip was convenient. Our room was very clean, plus we had all the amenities to cook. We also enjoyed the pool. We have already booked our next stay.

Ragged Edge is a quaint older cottage type resort that is right on the Atlantic Ocean, They have updated bathrooms with nice kitchens. Veiws from the rooms are fantastic. Pool is nice and clean with plenty of places to sit and relax. I did the morning Yoga with Kelly on their beach which was very relaxing and special. Staff are the happiest people and always friendly.
Thank You Ragged Edge Staff and owners.

The room its self was great. I would say if your over 5’8 you’ll hate the shower because the ceiling is super low. For some reason the deadbolt lock didn’t work on our room, I didn’t think it would be an issue because the doorknob did lock. The office staff was nice, the amenities were nice. We stayed for one night, the next morning at 8am the cleaning lady literally barged into our room, I don’t know if she knocked because I was literally sleeping. She didn’t say a single word just left when I woke up. Apparently check out is at 10am? At 10:10am the same cleaning lady was banging on our door saying we needed to leave because check out was at 10am. She didn’t introduce her self, wasn’t wearing anything that would even identify her for working there. If I hadn’t seen her cleaning another room I wouldn’t have even known who she was. I explained to her I was sorry and I thought check out was at 11. She yelled at me saying there was a sign on the wall, (there was no sign anywhere). My keys were turned in at 10:17am. She was extremely rude and it was uncalled for. I honestly thought the room was overpriced compared to some other hotels in the area that were nicer. I wouldn’t stay there again but it was fine for the night.

Hi Samantha, Thank you for your review. I apologize for the issue with our housekeeping staff. This incident has been brought to the staffs attention and is being handled. We have a policy in place and it was not followed that day. We have had a meeting and changes have been made to assure that this does not happen again in the future. We love our guests and we set out to exceed your expectations while staying with us. I apologize that we did not do a great job during your stay. Thank you, Jamie

I trusted the reviews and the recommendation of a stranger and was very pleased.

The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The grounds are very well maintained.

While they were booked up it was incredibly private and quiet. We enjoyed stargazing at night and enjoyed the sea view with coffee in the morning.

Our lower level King accommodations provided a screened porch with table and chairs. The well lit room with sliding patio door and large windows had 2/3 tile floor and commercial carpet around the bed. The sheets were crisp and clean. The kitchenette had the basics including a range, coffee pot, microwave, full size fridge, and toaster, plates, cutlery, and cups/mugs. The bathroom is tiled and had great hot water and water pressure in the shower. The towels are basic but you can exchange and they do also provide you with two beach towels which can also be swapped out in the office. Housekeeping service was immaculate.

The vibe. It brought back the nostalgia of what Florida was. We wanted that. If you want that you should consider staying here too. We enjoyed it and would return to stay here again.

3 of the people in our party got nasty looks and harsh words (on three separate events) from the staff. Apparently if you stay there you are not allowed to have guest, not even dropping you off on the property.
-One of the people was actually a guest but couldn’t find his room.
-My husband, that was waiting on the car while we got our friends situated.
-Me for jumping on the pool with my friend who is the guest (mind you, there were no other guests around that we could be disturbing and we were not being loud)
The rooms weren’t so great either, all in all I would never book a room there or let any of my friends do so either.

Hi Maia, Thank you for your review. I apologize that you had a less than great experience with us. Please feel free to call me with more information as to what happened. Please note, we do have a strict "guest only" policy. We are a very small resort and our guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere that the Ragged Edge offers. Again, please feel free to call with more information and I will be happy to address any issues with my staff. We love our guests very much and work hard to accommodate everyone that stays with us. Thank you, Jamie

Ragged Edge isthe perfect combination of beautiful setting, helpful staff and comfortable accommodations. Our room was clean and spacious and the kitchenette was equipped with everything we needed to fix occasional meals. Soon after we checked in, we made several requests (like asking for a tub mat to make showering feel safer ) and the response was fast and gracious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Really enjoyed my recent stay there. It's a small resort but they have a variety of accommodations from hotel-like rooms to some condo-like rentals; we stayed in a queen efficiency which I believe was under the owners' home. Beautiful views from here; pool was never really busy; great little dock that will make boaters happy; both rooms and grounds extremely well-maintained and lovely. Bikes and kayaks available for adventures. Lots and lots and lots of things to do nearby. Chickens wandered back and forth on the walkway next to the rental; we decided to do a little investigating and found a coop back behind the building that was named (of course) Ragged Eggs! I think they sometimes sell eggs in the office from the chickens. This isn't a party palace; it's more for families, fishing/boating fans and couples like us looking for a relaxing location. Sill, there's lots of places to get rowdy nearby if that's what you want to do. Highly recommended.

We stayed this weekend, and it went great. Everything was clean, and things like the floors, kitchen counter, and bathrooms looked brand new or very recently renovated. Seeing a place this well taken care of always adds to a feeling of safety and comfort.

The place is very quiet at night, and a good distance away from US-1, so you’ll be protected from traffic sounds; if you value sleep, this is the place to stay.

This particular room has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is great for privacy when you sleep while still sharing with friends or family.

Being Florida and located right on the water, I can tell the owners take pest control very seriously because I didn’t see a single bug in the room. I’d definitely stay again.
