Detailed Reviews
Just returned from a fantastic 5 day stay at La Te Da for our 36th anniversary. This was our second stay here. The staff is awesome, the hotel is beautiful, and the bar and restaurant are top notch. We took advantage of their summer deal that allows you to book 3 nights with a fourth night free and free breakfast each morning. Breakfast is amazing! Not your dry muffin and stale coffee. A selection of 4 different cooked breakfasts that never disappoint. Beautiful little pool in the center with lush tropical surroundings. Happened upon this place 2 years ago and we won't stay anywhere else. At the quieter end if Duval but the action is a short walk down the street. Would definitely recommend La Te Da to anyone looking for a great getaway to Key West.

A wonderful exciting stay at a beautiful bustling delightful little inn. Superior King Room was clean and the king bed was luxuriously comfortable. Friendly and very Helpful staff was always available. We remember on check in, we were directed to go up a set of stairs to our room; after traveling 14 hours from one end of the country to the other, a restaurant steward helped my wife and I with a heavy suitcase up the stairs to our room. Im not sure if the age of this inn has an elevator or not but after he helped us, and set my bags down, I went back downstairs to pay him a Thank You tip and couldn't find him in the busy restaurant. I regret this and am Really Grateful for his help. The room came with a freshly cooked to order, early morning breakfast. The menu looked delicious however we never got up before 10:00 to have any. Night life at the hotel was exciting and fun; with entertainers nightly. Quiet blanketed the hotel promptly around midnight and as a guest we were never wakened by the festivities. Our 3 day stay will be memorable for a long time and will stay there again next time.

This small and charming hotel has it all. My husband and I spent four nights here celebrating our 25th anniversary and from the time we checked in to the time we left we had an exceptional experience. We stayed in a room at the back of the property that was quiet and furnished in what reminded me of mid-century tropical. Since we stayed in June, it was hot; however, there was an individual A/C unit that we could control that did a great job making our room comfortable. My top five favorite things about LaTeDa: (1) The service. Among the best service I have ever had both at the restaurant and hotel. It seemed people went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. Housekeeping was outstanding as well; (2) The location. At the quiet end of Duval but within walking distance to everything; (3) The entertainment. We went to the Spectrelles (they only perform on Tuesday and Wednesday) and were thoroughly entertained with 50s-60s hits. They had the entire place dancing! We also went to the Randy Roberts show and I swear I was at a Cher concert! (4) The restaurant. We ate breakfast (included in our rate) here three times, lunch once and dinner once and the food is simply spectacular. Large variety of items and all were prepared flawlessly. The restaurant is so charming and it sits poolside in the courtyard complete with palm trees and white table cloths. I would have been fine eating all my meals right here; and (5) The atmosphere throughout. It is old Key West at its finest. It is an old building that has been lovingly and beautifully restored. It in no way resembles a big chain hotel and every room is different but that is part of the charm of it. This is an adult-only resort which was also very nice as we were not traveling with our kids. We will stay here again and again.

We stayed at La Te Da on a family member’s recommendation and it lived up to all the hype! This B&B/Restaurant/Bar/Entertainment venue has something for every type of traveler. It was perfectly situated on upper Duval street (a few blocks away from the south point) and we enjoyed the fact that nearly everything we wanted to do was within a 20-minute walk. We booked a superior room on an upper floor and found it was very well-appointed and quiet (perfect for light sleepers). We couldn’t hear any noise from the bar area at all even though there were plenty of people still having a great time. The included breakfast was delicious (especially the pancakes) and the staff were courteous and attentive. We plan on staying here again the next time we are in Key West. We also want to thank Michael for giving us great recommendations on where to go during our stay!

A wonderful experience for a vacation. Our flight was cancelled into Key West, so we were unable to arrive on the day we planned. The staff quickly responded to our voicemail and graciously cancelled a Saturday night stay. We extended our vacation an extra night, the second hotel wanted to charge us DOUBLE our room rate. La Te Da welcomed us back for that last night. This is a boutique hotel, the room was spotless, the bed comfy. The facility is clean and well maintained, but you may notice a creak in the floor, a crooked picture, a small bathroom. These were minor details that actually were part of the charm. All of the staff seemed happy that we were staying there. The food and service at the restaurant was some of the best we have had in a long time. The cabaret show was a lot of fun and would highly recommend. The only complaint is the show was a little shorter than we were expecting. We highly recommend La Te Da if you enjoy small hotels with high levels of service.

We are repeat customers and will be back. Great staff, every room is a little different so go to the website and view them! Meal is always a delightful experience. NYE at the terrace bar was great people watching and Randy Roberts didn't disappoint when ringing in the new year. Adult only with an older crowd, so no groups of 20 somethings doing shots. Music from the '70's played all night! ❤️

This hotel couldn’t be better! The location is amazing, the atmosphere, and the STAFF!! We had 3 rooms for a family gathering (of adults), and I can’t talk about how much fun it was. The weekend stay started with appetizers at the bars for drinks. A must is the chicken wings and crab dip. This is the type of place that you contemplate walking Duval Street, or staying at the hotel because it is that entertaining. Non-guests come to the bar and you get to meet people from all over. The hotel stay includes breakfast. This isn’t your normal hotel breakfast, you have waiter service and get to select from 4-5 choices and ALL YOU CAN DRINK COFFEE. Yes the hotel may be more expensive than others, but the service, location, food, and bar scene makes up for it. Will definitely stay here and return to Key West for this hotel alone.

We had a fabulous stay from 2/21-2/24/22. Our room was beautiful, and exactly what it looked like in the website’s pictures. We loved being tucked in the corner by the pool. After a nine hour drive from Bradenton, dropping off everything in the room and racing for the refreshing waters of the pretty blue pool was just what we needed.
The staff: literally everyone was so friendly, we felt welcome from the minute we arrived. Anything we needed was immediately at our fingertips. When I asked for more pool towels at the front desk, housekeeping was there within one minute of me getting to our room.
The food: We had a delicious full breakfast (included with your stay). Tuesday 2/22/22 was my 55th birthday, and we had dinner there before the cabaret show that night. YUMMMMMMM! The food and service were impeccable. We had snapper and crab cakes: so fresh, so delicious!
The shows: Christopher Peterson’s Eyecons was phenomenally funny. The characters came to life in such comical ways! After the show, we stopped by the indoor bar to listen to the entertainment there. It was such a fun atmosphere!
We highly recommend La Te Da.

Arrived on Tuesday Jan. 4th for two night stay. The hotel is warm and charming, with an interesting history. For what is offered, I think it was over priced, but it is right on Duval Street. I have hear good things about the restaurant, so we had lunch there upon arrival. There were just a handful of customers there at 2:30 pm so we thought service would be good. It took a good 10 minutes just to get a glass of water, and another 15 to get our cocktails. I got the Jalapeno infused margarita, which was totally absent of any flavor or heat with a mashed up jalapeno (seeds and all) floating in the drink. I did not drink it. The server clearly had no interest in his job other than getting tips. the food was terrible. My partner had a chicken sandwich which was SO THIN, dried out and overcooked, with dried out cheese and cold fries, and they charge a stiff price for this crappy food. I got a wedge salad with chicken. The chicken was so salty I could not eat it. We left most of our meals on the plate. We never were asked about our food or check up on in any other way. Poorly trained wait staff. We never ate there again while we were there. I will say the restaurant was extremely busy in the evenings so they must be doing something right. Maybe a different chef at night?? Also, you have to walk through the dining room whenever you come or go from your room, not a pleasant experience when people are eating. Also, forget a relaxing evening in your room with the LOUD drag shows going on. Would not go back.

Hotel is located off of Duval but at the end of it where it is not as much crowded. Room was very nice, they provided us with toiletries, we had an iron and small ironing board plus small fridge. Place has a very nice restaurant and outdoor bar plus pool. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and waiters did a great job! We recommend this place!

There is a large choice of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from at the Cabaret at LaTeDa. The shows are both amazing the only show in Key West that is all live singing.
The pool at LaTeDa is for Hotel guests only.
