Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The cottages are very nice. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The resort was clean and staff very friendly. I requested clean towels and had them within 20 minutes. Wasn’t a fan of the Nespresso coffee system in the room. For my morning coffee I drove to Dunkin Donuts. My only suggestion is the install of grab bars in the showers. I’m a senior with a bad knee and feel grab bars are a ADA requirement.

Hotel's Favourite
My husband and I just returned from this resort. We loved it!!! Be sure when you book your reservation to ask if your cottage is across the street. The staff accommodated us as soon as they could. Beautiful beach, lovely clean cottages, and wonderful staff!! We spent many afternoons conversing with Steve while enjoying his coconut drinks. We will return!! Rent a car, there is so much to see on the island

We stayed in Wildflower Cottage, which was an ideal spot for a couple. There's no loss whatsoever in being on the 'wrong' side of the street - it was quiet and the beach is only a few seconds' stroll away anyway. Very relaxing stay - we had a great time.

My husband and I just returned home from another wonderful vacation at Cedar Cove Resort & Cottages. The beach is beautiful! Chairs, sun umbrellas & beach towels included. The cottages are clean & inviting. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect. You don’t really need a car, the free trolly is so easy to use to take you anywhere on the island. This was our third year at Cedar Cove Resort & Cottages, we are looking forward to returning next year!

I decided to book this place because of many positive reviews. I did not love it here. The access to the beach and the beach itself is great- there are lots of beach loungers that you can move closer to the water. Everyone who works there is congenial and helpful. The room- ours was a king studio- was okay but needs major updating. All would be fine if this room was a lot less expensive than it was. I know hotel rooms have skyrocketed in the last couple of years but this was absurd. With taxes and fees ( including a booking fee even though I booked directly) the room was $650.00 per night( I booked the room about 2-3 months out). Ridiculous! The coffee in the room is also crazy- they have older models of Nespresso which need their own coffee pods - and they give you 2 and you have to buy more from them. They offered regular coffee in the small store on the Sunday we were there- but not during the weekdays. Before going to Anna Maria Island and this”resort “ we were at 2 other on the beach hotels and they were updated and not nearly as expensive. I know the “Old Florida” hotels are quaint and not fancy but they also come with a more reasonable price. I would not recommend this resort unless the price came down considerably.

The “hardest part” of visiting this resort is slowing down to the speed of zero. Everyone here is so friendly. You walk right out onto a beautiful beach. They have plenty of chairs and umbrellas and you can even rent an electronic golf cart if you want. They have a good supply of bicycles that come with your rental though If you want something fancier there is a bike shop just a couple of blocks away. Highly recommend visiting the holy cow ice cream shop, which is right next to the bike shop. most of the people we encountered at the resort and the surrounding beach area seem to be the 50 and above crowd (which includes us). This probably wouldn’t be the place to bring a family of small children because then it makes getting around a little bit harder. There’s quite a bit of traffic (end of February), and parking at various restaurants can be a mess. There’s a trolley that runs most of the hours of the day and that’s free. Uber is a little bit challenging. 90 minute wait at the two restaurants we visited. Nice views though! Also, we ran into several people who told us the come for 2-3 weeks and have come back year after year Bring a book or two,and some sunscreen!
