Staff very accommodating here. We stay here frequently when we fly out of Ft. Lauderdale. We catch an Uber to the airport, as the hotel does not have a shuttle to the airport. We stay here because they will allow parking here in the parking garage, for the length of our stay. Last time we were there in November, 2019 near Thanksgiving , we were upgraded to a great room , overlooking Ft. Lauderdale, and we had a balcony. We were also on the Concierge floor and were invited to get dinner there, and that was a pleasant surprise! The next morning we also had breakfast before we left for the airport. It was great, they treated us very well, the Concierge was pleasant and very accommodating. We have stayed her a number of times, it is always a welcome place to visit. Across the street is a strip Mall with a number of restaurants, including Longhorn Steakhouse, and Starlight Diner. The restaurant at the Marriott is ok, the bar area is nice and they have a happy hour. They have a shuttle that will take you across the street to those places nearby, but there is no shuttle to the airport here. So we take an Uber. The average price depending on the flight time is between $16-25 and it is worth it to us because we can park at the hotel in a covered garage and a safe location. Highly recommend this hotel.Beds are comfortable, rooms immaculate. The hotel staff is very professional and courteous, and always welcoming!

Arriving after dark? Good luck! The driveway to the hotel is so obscure, there’s a sign posted a block south to alert you. Unfortunately, neither that sign nor the one at the entrance itself is illuminated. Trust me, you won’t find the entrance at night.

And if you’re an elite member, you’ll really feel appreciated here, but only on weekdays. While it is customary at business hotels for the lounge to be closed on weekends, this hotel makes no alternate accommodation for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Upon check-in you have the option of a single $10 food and beverage credit, which can be used once per stay, not per day. And $10 doesn’t even buy half a breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Perhaps I should have checked out and back in each day to requalify for the credit….

My room was comfortable, although the brutalist South Florida décor felt more like the waiting room at an outpatient clinic than a guest room at a nice hotel. And the housekeeping was passable, although I did find some debris on the floor when I entered. Outside my door, there was a safety pin and a few other scraps that were still there when I left after four days. Wonder how often the carpets get vacuum cleaned.

On a positive note, three of the four elevators were operational during my stay. While the call buttons on either side of the elevator lobby don’t seem to be integrated, and they’re even crisscrossed on some floors, I never waited very long for an elevator.

But, overall, I have to say that for a full service Marriott, this property could sure use a little more attention to detail. The staff were all friendly and pleasant, but the housekeeping and general upkeep were lacking.

This Marriott is fantastic and the customer service is in a much higher tier than most due to the friendly and efficient staff. I rarely write hotel reviews but had to after our short stay this past weekend. I was so impressed with the help we received from Samantha at the front desk and the rest of her coworkers, we'll plan to stay again when we're in town. Our flight over was pretty awful, but everything changed upon our check-in due to Samantha's friendly and understanding attitude. Her going above and beyond really made our weekend and I'm so happy we booked here.

The hotel is clean, centrally located, and offers free parking. All necessary covid precautions were in place including mask wearing, social distancing, and sanitized rooms, etc.

Front desk experience was mostly good, both checking in and out 9no way to check out on the TV0. Very friendly and polite check in, gave us our Bonvoy gift and filled us in on the breakfast (since it was a weekend and the concierge lounge was closed). Nice touch was a chicalote bar with our name printed on it and a thanks for being a Bonvoy member waiting at the desk. Only issue was when we wen to the room we found enough towels but surprisingly only one wash cloth; we left the room a few minutes later and asked the desk to send up additional but they never arrived.

Room was typical older Marriott, showing significant signs of age - ripped couch, doors with scratches, etc.. Plenty of hot water and the AC worked fine.

Breakfast was the usual limited buffet but i was again surprised that they did not have decaf coffee; found the same situation the week before in a Renaissance. Very surprised when the server told us I

Food aside, it was a fine experience knowing in advance i was going into an older hotel. could buy decaf at the lobby Starbucks; after a few words with my wife they went and got it for me and also brought a refill.

I was traveling with my family and the reason I reserved a Marriot was beacuse for me it was a safe option consider that it was a Marriot.
I asked for spoons and never took them to the room, I had to go down to the restaurant to get them, then when I asked for bowls they said they didn't have any (how is that a Marriot don't have cereal bowls?) at the end I got them on the restaurant.
But the worst thing is that they clean up the rooms every three days and in our fourth day we asked at the reception to coordinate the cleaning, the dind't do it and when we came to the room at night the room was as we leave it, we called the reception and the didn't care at all.
Also the cleaning is terribly bad, there was hairs in the wall bathtub.
If you can avoid staying there do it.

The hotel is pet friendly. That was good amenity. However, the pool was unavailable. The balcony to my room was not usable because it flooded every time it rained. Hospitality did not refresh your towels or linen unless you asked. Also, they would give towels without picking up the used ones. I asked for the linen to be changed and they only made up the beds without changing the linen. I had to ask for linen and change the bed myself. Then they did not come and pick up the soiled laundry, so I informed them that it was by my room door in the hallway. Hospitality said she would be by to pick it up. It sat for a few hours. The breakfast is not complimentary, it’s $25 per person.

Because of COVID and I imagine short staffing, the rooms were cleaned every three days. However, the staff responded quickly to requests for more coffee or towels or for trash to be emptied. The rooms were clean and comfortable. What really shone was the excellent service we received in the bar and grill. Again, no full dinner menus but the small dishes (empanadas, quesadillas, pulled pork, hamburgers, etc) were excellent. Great drinks as well. Ery and Ernesto provided the best customer service I've ever had anywhere. The food quality and their service was the reason we went there every evening during our three day stay.

Stayed here for thanksgiving weekend. First room: unsteady light fixtures (lights had a substantial delay in coming on after flipping switch, would also flicker or just turn off completely), ripped up sofa and unclean bathroom. We requested a new room which was better although it had a distinct but tolerable smell.

The next day we returned to our room to find that one of my pillow cases and a wash cloth were missing, both brought from home. Called the front desk, gave a description of the pillowcase and was told the housekeeper supervisor would be notified. I didn’t bother with the washcloth because it would be a needle in a haystack to find (it was off-white and fluffier than the standard hotel ones and it was purposely left hanging inside the shower so it wouldn’t be taken).

Received a follow up call the next day saying it was found. I’m happy that it was found though it was odd that it misplaced to begin with (accidents happen, right?) Needless to say, we refrained from any additional housekeeping the remainder of our stay.

Overall, the hotel is ok. It’s due for some upgrades but suitable for a short stay.

Let me start off by saying this is the WORST hotel I've ever stayed in. Stayed on the 15th floor which has access to the Concierge Lounge.
Elevators where filthy and smelly, with cleaning staff bringing in garbage in front of you in the elevator.
Rooms were filthy and old, and could hear everything next door, as the walls are paper thin.
Cleaning staff very rude, never smiling, and pissed off!
The lady in the Concierge Lounge for Breakfast was very rude, and expecting a tip! I usually tip the staff on my last day, but guess what....she was not getting a tip from me as her attitude and service was terrible!
The checkin staff were very helpful.
Thomas downstairs was the best employee there. Very nice.
The rest, this hotel should be torn down!
The staff in the restaurant were fake nice as they were expecting a nice tip which was so obvious.
Pool area was dirty, and towels were never replenished.
Stayed here for 8 nights with my family, and it was ruined because of this horrible hotel.!
Please do not stay here, this not a proper Marriott Hotel.
I would give this hotel a solid 2 stars.

Stayed for one night (April 15, 2022). The staff was very professional and courteous. Parking was easy as I parked complimentary in the garage. However, although clean, the hotel is aging. The pool is under renovation and a lot of areas are undergoing paint jobs, etc.

However, I wondered what happened with " the stylish accommodations outfitted with luxurious bedding" (Please note that I took that quote directly from Marriott FL North website)??? This was the absolute worst bed that I have ever NOT slept in. How Marriott can allow a bed like this in their room is beyond comprehension. This bed was old and deformed from others sleeping in it. The indent in the mattress was a permanent one. Between the horrific mattress, the fact that I was located next to the ice machine, and the traffic noise from I-95, I would not recommend it. If you want to sleep while away, I would recommend booking another where their mattresses are not decades old. Seriously Marriott, you can do much better than this. What an embarrassment to the Marriott brand.

The beach is only about 10 to 15 minutes east taking Atlantic Blvd. The Hard Rock. hotel is a bit further South of this Marriott, if taking I-95 south to the Hollywood exit, perhaps another 20 minutes.
