What a dream!

We arrived earlier than our check-in appointment and were immediately welcomed with fantastic hospitality. Doris was able to set up the cutest birthday balloons and confetti cupcake for my mom’s birthday surprise.

The hotel has so many great amenities not limited to the rooftop pool, afternoon gelato, beach shuttles, and art gallery tickets. Such an artfully crafted experience, I would 1000% recommend this hotel.

Thank you for everything!

We stayed at this hotel for my friend’s milestone birthday! She’s a leap year baby who turned 40 this year! Which happened to be a leap year and on a Saturday! Perfect recipe for an amazing girls weekend! We picked the Dalmar for a staycation with 8 girls and I can’t say enough about how great the service was and how beautiful the hotel is. Not only Beautiful decor, it activities for all - pool, and awesome rooftop bar for fun day and night!
During our stay Larry Knox went out of his way to help us make it everything we wanted and more! When we arrived we had a slight dilemma bc the reservation was under the Birthday girls name. Yet we needed to get into the room and decorate her suite and surprise her. The room wasn’t quite ready since check in wasn’t till 4p and we arrived earlier. All things we were perfectly aware of but were hope we’d find someone who could help. Cue in Larry! For every reason that any hotel could have simply chosen to say sorry but we can’t do that; Larry had a solution!
Larry worked with me (behind the scenes of course) to get the room cleaned as quickly as possible and kept me posted with updates along the way while we enjoyed drinks at the pool. He set us up in a cabana by the pool keeping my friend distracted. Then when the room was ready he personally took me and the bday girls sister up (since we weren’t technically on the reservation) and helped us decorate the room! As if he hadn’t done enough he even surprised the bday girl with a bottle of champagne in the room to celebrate! Honestly I can’t say enough about how amazing Larry is and how much I appreciate everything he did to make this weekend so special! You don’t always find a concierge at a hotel so involved with making your hotel stay so memorable but he totally exceeded our expectations! Thank you for making our girl’s bday weekend one for the books! Can’t wait to go back :)

We are native to the Ft. Lauderdale area and love to spend weekend getaways as a family at the Dalmar. The service we receive is always phenomenal. All the staff is personable and kind which makes all the difference in a staycation. Two members of staff that really made our most recent stay was Hannah and Larry.

Larry was attentive and hospitable while we sunned by the pool. He always made sure we had enough towels and that the umbrella was adjusted perfectly. His pleasant demeanor and humor made us feel like we were old friends.

Hannah also always met us with a smile and even arranged dinner reservations for us at the Sparrow. This was during a holiday weekend, so I'm sure this was no easy task but she did so anyways! This is something we truly appreciated.

The hotel is always clean and all staff members were wearing masks and keeping their distance which made us feel safer during these times.

We'll be back soon and hope to be greeted by the amazing staff members once more!

I had stayed in this hotel 20 times over the past year. The elevators are strange, breakfast is overpriced, and service has always been subpar but it’s a good location.

Even though I checked in on the mobile app, the night time supervisor refused to let me check in without a physical ID and physical credit card. Unfortunately I had left my wallet at a soup kitchen I was volunteering at earlier in the day.

I asked if I could get the room and grab a bite while my wife drove my wallet 90 minutes to the hotel and he said no it’s our policy. Your only option is to drive home and get it.

Strange customer service isn’t a value here. It explains the 3 people in the lobby bar and all the negative reviews.

Luckily Marriott values their customers and the Titanium support line cancelled my reservation at the Dumpmar, booked me up the street for free at a much nicer hotel, and comped me points for the inconvenience.

When I left the supervisor blew me a kiss as if he won something over on me.

The best part is when I checked into the much nicer hotel and told them I didn’t have my physical ID or Credit Card, they said no problem, this is 2020 not 1987 and we are happy to take care of our valuable customers.

Thank you for your feedback, and loyalty to both Marriott and The Dalmar. For your security and all guest security we do have a strict identification policy in order to access a room or reservation. While you have been to the hotel multiple times, it seems we did not have a team member on staff that night that had served you in the past in order to identify you without ID. We do not take chances on safety and security and therefore could not proceed. If it was handled in a poor manner, then for that I apologize.

This was the worst stay at a hotel I have ever had. From arrival to the time we left, we had issues. The largest one being we paid for an upgraded larger room because we had four guests, only to arrive to a room with ONE king bed. There was no other availability in the hotel, so that is where we slept for the weekend (of which cost $1k+). The staff was less than accommodating, management blatantly ignored me when we discovered we had one bed for four people. While the hotel might look cute in pictures, you’ll quickly notice how dirty and unkept it is. There’s no TP or paper towels in the restrooms, there’s trash throughout all of the common areas. It was obvious our room was dirty when we checked in — which especially during COVID is disgusting. Oh and the valet that is $34 a night, you’re really just paying for the parking spot. They don’t assist with luggage or even acknowledge you until you are standing in front of them. We carried about 10 bags up to our room on the 14th floor with zero help from anyone at the hotel. We requested extra towels and sheets through the Bonvoy app, asked hospitality directly and by called the front desk. The front desk never answered the phone so we had to go down and get everything ourselves. The first night, we slept with one sheet on a pull out bed. How is that to be expected?? This hotel is a prime example of Instagram vs. Reality. It is in no way luxurious, the only perk is the location to Las Olas. However, there are many other hotels within the same proximity I would 100% choose over this one. They need an overhaul of staff and to learn basic customer service. Do not pay a premium to stay here.

The hotel is very nice, but not good for elderly people.
The bad thing now is, due to COVID19, the hotel might have short staff or the staff doesn’t want to make contact with people and for the time I spent there, a week, there was nobody cleaning the room.
The hotel has 2 or 3 restaurants and none of them are open now, so the only option for breakfast is to go downstairs and buy some coffee and donuts and sit on the couch and eat the food or take the elevator upstairs to use the tables at the bar located on the 6th floor. Other than that you can go out and try to find a breakfast place on Las Oslas Blvd or order food from different places for delivery at the hotel.

Stayed for one night before and after a flight , I will say the rate was great on the Bonvoy app and I was satisfied with what I paid for the experience.

As a new hotel I really liked the room, decor, pool, and included breakfast. Location is not far from the airport and you can walk to Las Olas Blvd from the hotel for dinner, there's a CVS close by as well as a few other restaurants.

Check in was standard however they failed to mention a credit card hold that would subsequently take weeks to resolve, I had to call and send multiple emails to finally get my money back, or wait a month for the hold to be released by my bank. The fact that they never mentioned the hold was poor customer service. Also at breakfast the server was very impolite but was sure to point out a tip isn't included.

Other than that the room is comfortable, the extra amenities like flip flops and sleeping masks were a nice touch and the hotel is very nicely decorated.

Thank you for your review. We are happy you enjoyed the hotel and amenities, but disappointed the incidental hold had such a negative impact on your stay. Most hotels will hold an additional amount over what is owed on the room for incidentals, and it is notated within the confirmation email when booking direct with Marriott. We will monitor breakfast service closely to ensure all team members are exceeding expectations.

Prior to checking into the hotel, I was sent a welcome email documenting that face masks were required in all common areas - Which I strongly support. When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted but a Valet Attendant who was not wearing any kind of PPE and I did not feel comfortable leaving my vehicle with a hotel associate that does not follow city law nor the hotel policy. Since your property is valet only, I was left with no other option. I mentioned to the person checking me in that the Valet Attendant is not wearing a mask and in/out of different cars spreading his germs as he goes. The Front Desk agent shrugged and told me that valet is a seperate company. Day 2 of my stay, I spoke to Taylor regarding the mask issue. Taylor was extremely helpful and informed me that the issue would be resolved, but every time I received my car from the valet none of the attendants were wearing masks or partially wearing them.

My only reason for booking a stay at your hotel was for a quiet place to conduct virtual meetings, but the wifi was spotty most days or did not work at all. When I messaged the team via the Marriott App regarding the internet issue - I was told that nobody else was having an issue with the wifi and it was implied that I was not capable of connecting a device to your wifi network. I found the interaction with the employee to be very insulting and unjust since I attempted to connect 4 seperate devices with no luck.

Tiffony finally agreed to assist me hours after notifying the hotel of the internet issue - Guess what. The internet was in fact not working for any guest. The issue caused me to miss meetings and dealing with Tiffony was not easy since she did not offer any customer service skills unless I emailed her and copied the full front desk leadership team.

Frankly, I'm shocked that a hotel that recently reopened would not be following the rules and one of your staff members treated me so poorly.

Thank you for your review. We greatly apologize for the improper use of PPE by our valet staff and the WiFi issues experienced during your stay. Your safety is our top concern and the proper procedures have been reiterated to our valet staff. The handling of your WiFi issues was not up to our normal standard for service and we are disappointed to have let you down. Well, where to begin? I suppose with the biggest drama of the whole trip. I believe my wife and I were discriminated against because we are gay. This has never happened to us before really...We walked out to the valet stand and were showing mild forms of affection towards each other. The valet and bell staff sneered at us, were clearly talking about us and laughing in our direction. This issue was brought up with management and they said their cameras do not have any audio and they didn’t see anything ‘blatant’ on the cameras, so there will pretty much not be any action taken. I am not a liar. I know how we were treated. Since then they have been pretty much avoiding our calls and visits to see if there has been any follow up.
The valet and bell staff will also talk about you after you pick up your car - we were waiting outside the cafe and heard a couple comments clearly.
The service in most facets was terrible. We opted for the green option when it comes to housekeeping, which means they were supposed to come every other day. We then only turned on our ‘make up room’ option every other day. One day they did not show up at all. When it was ‘cleaned’ it pretty much meant the bed was made and new towels delivered, which would be fine for a short stay, but we were there for a week. Our toilet paper, facial tissues and towels ran out in the middle of our stay. Staff refilled these after us reaching out multiple times. Our garbage and recycling ended up overflowing because they didn’t empty them until the day before we checked out.
When we visited the lobby bar, we sat with empty drinks for 15-20 minutes and ended up having to go to another server to get another drink. Our server was too busy chatting with another worker on the pool deck.
The hotel has a shuttle service to/from the beach, which sounds great. What’s not great is when no one picks up the phone for ring after ring. I was put on hold three times and each time disconnected when put on hold. Eventually, I got through to someone on the bonvoy app for a pick up... over an hour after trying to get a hold of someone.
Upon checkout, I looked at the bill and we were billed for 7 nights of valet parking, even though we only had a rental car for two, so check your bill if for some god awful reason you have to stay here. They say it will be reimbursed, but Jesus, what else could/will go wrong?
Also, not necessarily clean or luxury feeling beyond cool furniture.

I was very excited for this stay, was ready to have a good, relaxing time and had seen these other reviews before we booked and thought that it surely couldn’t be that bad, but it was. I never leave a bad review, but this trip absolutely warranted this essay.

The staff was limited, unfriendly and not very knowledgeable. iPad in the room contained music stations, when I couldn’t get the sound to work I contacted the front desk and was told the feature doesn’t work. There was an Alexa speaker in the room which also didn’t work. Strange noises (possibly plumbing) coming from the walls from 10pm until we’ll after 1am. Room was underwhelming for the price. There is no convenience area to purchase water bottles, sodas or snacks after hours when the coffee shop is closed at 5pm, so the bar or restaurant are the only options. A room card is required to access the elevator, super inconvenient when carrying bags and coming/going. Pool closes at 6pm, and also requires a key card to access- I got locked out while meeting family at the elevator. There are 4 elevators, 2 of which become reserved for the club during evening hours - had to wait 10 minutes to get an elevator to my room. Speaking of the club, I was staying at the hotel as part of a wedding block and about 20 of us went to the club and were falsely told that a $500 minimum was required. After 30 minutes of picking out bottles and waiting, we learned that the girl was new and miscommunicated, the $500 minimum was only if we wanted them to serve us, it was free to sit outside if we got our own drinks from the bar. Even worse, had we went through with the $500 minimum, the staff had not told us they would be closing in 40 minutes. So our party would have had 40 minutes to consume $500 worth of unnecessarily purchased alcohol lol. I’ve stayed at many Marriott hotels in the past, this hotel was a huge disappointment and waste of money.
