The location is great. The resort is not as big like the other Holiday Inn resorts. It’s an older resort, but the rooms are nice but the security part is not that great. I travel a lot and I like to have two locks on the doors and this is just one lock and newer hotels have the automatic lock when the door shuts and then you can turn the knob to keep the privacy from housekeeping.
The restaurant is small, but has outdoor seating and the staff was friendly and pleasant. It would be nice to have people walk around the pool and offer drinks. It would be nice to offer room service like other places and use plastic wear and leave the food by the door. For the price you pay for a room the extra touches matter.
The parking can be hit or miss. The garage is not designed for larger vehicles, but people like to cram in their vehicle to the small spaces.
I understand their is no housekeeping, but leaving only 2 regular coffees isn’t going to work for most people. Also, I had a kitchen, but no pots and pans to utilize. Again, the management needs to work on things to keep guests happy. A hurricane is coming and some people won’t leave and they will buy food, only to find out there are no pans or plates to use.
Overall I would stay here again only because each room is ocean front balcony and other hotels don’t offer balcony’s for every room.

Our hotel is in the process of making a lot of changes that will truly be positive for the Guest experience. You are correct all the little things add up to a huge happy trip for all the family and a forever home away from home when on vacation. We strive hard each day with you and all our Guest in mind. I do apologize that you were not aware that we do have all the pots/pans/eating utensils/plates/bowls that you may need. We have a sign in our cabinets letting you know for sanitation reasons we keep them with us until you request them. Once they are requested we will get them to you right away fresh and clean. We want all our Guest safe especially during these unknown times. We truly hope to see you and the family again soon and next time we hope to get that 5 out of 5 review.

We were really lucky to find the Holiday Inn Resort Daytona Beach Oceanfront on S. Atlantic Ave (there are several similar names with widely varying amenities. The staff was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. The location is great, the pool beautiful, the room super clean and completely renovated and updated, comfortable beds and pillows. All rooms have balconies with two chairs and a small table. The entry doors to the rooms open to the outside but this is common in Daytona and once inside your room you feel like you are in a property that is much more expensive. The resort feeling of the pool area makes you feel you are at a much more expensive property. It has nice chaise lounges poolside, cozy patio group seating with overstuffed pads, fire pit, hot tub and bar and cafe with pretty good food. Plenty of free parking behind the hotel and also on a two level deck. Four pool towels in the room for your use, plush bath towels, free wifi, a free beer or wine or water at check in (one per room). Very accommodating staff for any special request we had. Perfect for our get away.

My wife and I met friends at the Holiday Inn Express. The rate was fair but they do charge a low extra fee for parking. The breakfast had several choices and the staff was active cleaning tables and checking the food supply. I would suggest that they get a second toaster as having one can cause a back up. That would be my only complaint.

I stay here at least once a year with my kids and the staff is always the greatest. They never leave you waiting very long, the rooms are always clean, if you need anything from housekeeping they have it to your room within minutes and doesn't require additional reminder calls. I travel quite a bit for work and I think this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at with all the amenities, location to everything and family events. It has a little for everyone. The play area for the younger kids, the pool and beach access for the older kids and the hot tub for the ages wanting to relax. The restaurant is a plus as well since the food and drinks are good and service is quick. I will continue to stay here each year and they will continue to impress!

We have been here before and enjoyed it each time. It is myself, wife and 2 daughters, 4 and 7. The view is amazing and we got the kitchenette room so we could bring food for the whole week we stayed. We still ate at the restaurant downstairs, they have really good food and kids eat free when the adults eat. The drinks are a little pricy but we brought our own alcohol in the room and as long as you put it in a covered cup they allowed you to drink by the pool area.The pool was only busy Saturday so we didn't have to really worry about distancing the other days which was nice. Kids loved the pool. Normally they love the kid area but I guess are getting to old so we were at the adult pool the whole time. We brought a tent and set it up. The beach wasn't to busy while we were there. It is literally a 10 second walk from the pool which is nice. The beds I thought were very comfortable but my wife thought the bed was a little too hard. Some times of day, coming back from swimming, the shower water was cold but being hot, it was manageable. We did have a light in the bathroom ceiling fall out of its frame but it was attached so never hit the ground. I called and they fixed it 15 minutes later. One thing they need to do is FIX THE HOT TUB! It is hot water but they are waiting on art to get the bubbles working again. I spoke to a local who said they have been waiting on this part for 2 months now, guess it is being held up in China or something. They also normally have activities in the activity room for kids but it was closed because of cov-id. The guy who worked it still would hand out free Popsicles each day and did bingo with prizes in the morning. We ordered and picked up food at a few good places. Most were partially open but we didn't want to chance it with our kids. All and all it was an amazing, long overdue (house quarantined for 60 days) trip we all needed. I would go again tomorrow.

We stayed here during a family visit to the area. The hotel is undergoing a complete remodeling. Our handicap accessible room was well laid out, had a well designed bathroom with a roll in shower, and a nice view of the pool and beach from the 1st floor. We had breakfast there both mornings plus a family gathering for lunch. Our server was a gal named Joyce who is a wonderful and friendly lady who made sure everything was taken care of. The only issue there was limited parking, which we were fortunately able to sort thru. Very reasonabke rates, property was very clean even with the remodeling. This is not a fancy property, but has everything needed for a fun stay with excellent staff.

We had an outstanding stay. The staff is friendly and professional. Warm welcome with a drink voucher.
The rooms are clean and comfortable.
Large heated pool with a 10ft deep end. Gated splash pad for the kids. Hot tub was really hot, a bit small, but always hot. 2 fire pits. Easy access to beach, that is kept very clean by city. Hotel issues beach towels. Key card access on all outside gates, providing an extra layer of security.
Bar staff always friendly. Every night there was live entertainment, including a steel drummer which was pretty good. Daily happy hour and food specials.
A HUGE plus of this hotel is all rooms have balconies and oceanfront, obviously higher floors have better views, but all rooms face the ocean. I looked at other hotels, and some rooms faced the side and had partial or blocked views. We had impressive views of sunrise and full moon, plus NYE fireworks at the pier.
1 grocery store less than a mile, walking distance.
Another plus is if you want more space, you can book a suite with a kitchen, it includes dishes, toaster, pots, etc.
Bathroom was spacious, always hot water with good pressure and brand new towels. AC worked well. Wifi was excellent, multiple tablets streaming movies. Housekeeping did a good job, vacuuming daily to get sand off floors. Plenty of parking. 3 elevators, at times slow, but there are stairwells at both ends. In house laundry that you have option to pay via credit card. Due to covid gym was closed. Plenty of sanitizing stations and I saw all staff wearing masks. Overall well kept, clean hotel with great staff. Highly recommend for family vacation.

We recently stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights and had a great experience. It was right on the beach, with easy access on and off the beach, with a shower station right before you get off the beach to wash off the sand. The pool and splash pond was nice, the kids enjoyed both! The water temperature in the pool and splash pad were great for February! The food here was great and priced well! Plus our kids ate free at each meal! Our server Andre (breakfast) was great, and interacted with our kids and they enjoyed having him as our server each day! This was great to because it made their stay more enjoyable. The rooms were clean, spacious and the views of the ocean were awesome, we stayed in room 607. Also easy access to the location from the road and ample parking made this an overall great place to stay! Only problem was a fire alarm at 12am that lasted for about an hour and then on and off for another hour the one night...that had everyone on edge the rest of the evening and made it hard to get the kids back to bed.

We rode our bikes and happened to stop for a late lunch at the restaurant in Holiday Inn. We were served by Donald, who was very courteous and friendly. The fish and chips were absolutely amazing! The main thing is that the Holiday Inn was COVID friendly, which meant a lot to me as the rest of Ormond Beach/Daytona Beach were very irresponsible by not wearing masks etc. 👍

Well, with the upgrade, the living room is at the ocean front instead of the bedroom, and you're more likely to have the pool and deck in your view u Der the balcony than the parking lot.
I had the upgrade and ended up sleeping on the pullout couch to sleep listening to the ocean and the kiddos had the beds.
So, depends what matter to you most. I found the kitchen to be very handy also.
We traveled in February and the pool was open the entire time. The hot tub was being repaired for about a week and the splash pad was closed for a day after an inspection.
They only have 1 diner on-site. Very nice waiters & waitresses. But I don't know if there's any other restaurants in walking distance. I wouldn't recommend this hotel because it's NOT nicely renovated. Had insects in our hotel rooms. No AC in the Slow elevators. I will not stay there again.
There are more places to choose from in the Daytona Beach area.
