We have stayed here many times over the years whenever we visit Daytona. As an IHG member we have always been treated well and love the proximity to the pier etc. This year we were disappointed on a couple things. First the pool loungers (or lack there of) around the pool. Three quarters of them were unable to use comfortably because the webbing on top was ripped away and you sank down to the crossbars. There are a few orange ones (about 6) that were usable. The pool area is so nice but had about a dozen loungers where in the past the pool was surrounded with them. It was almost impossible to get a lounger unless it was 8am or 4pm. Anytime in between good luck!
One of our other issues is we like to travel light so we throw a load of wash in mid week to avoid taking a lot of extra clothes along. This year we asked at the desk about the guest laundry we had used in the past but they said it was OUT OF ORDER? With that news we ventured out to a laundry mat near by that was far from ideal/nice. It had good reviews but as we arrived the neighborhood was a little scary and the place looked pretty rough. We took a chance on it as we needed clean clothes but lets just say we didn't hang around any longer than we had to!
We aren't big fans of no sheet changes since we were there for a week. We asked for sheets at the desk so we could change our own and they said housekeeping could drop some off which they never did. Housekeeping emptied our garbage every day and dropped off clean towels but didn't vacuum the sand off our floor. Side note: hallways always full of sand and paper. Our room had a coffee maker but no cups or even water glasses. Our bathroom door hung up on the tile when opened halfway which made an annoying noise at night if someone got up to use it. We had maintenance come up to get our safe open and they ended up taking the door off to go get it repaired.
Things are starting to get a little dated. The balconies are great for watching the surf and the people around the pool but could use a small table for between the chairs.
Marla and Rebecca were very accommodating and the whole staff was always friendly. In the past it seemed like we'd get a voucher for a drink or discount at the restaurant but didn't receive anything this year.
We are sad to see our favorite place have issues as it was always top notch .

Over half the pool furniture were out at the pool furniture company since June and we are on loaner pool furniture while our was being redone the first 30 lounge have just now came back and they picked up the remainder I am extremely fortunate to have a fantastic team to work with. They are truly what makes this hotel great. I will be sure to recognize Marla and Rebecca publicly at our next celebration. My son and his girlfriend had been at Disney all day and wanted to stay at the beach their last night in Florida. They drove an hour and a half to Daytona Beach to stay at the Holiday Inn & Suites on the beach. At first there was a little confusion regarding the room they had reserved, it was not available at the time. However, Alex stepped in and saved the day. Actually he saved the night as it was after midnight when they arrived at the hotel. Even though the room they reserved was not available, he found them perfect accommodations, gave them a great rate and made sure they had breakfast the next morning before they hit the road. I was not personally at the hotel, but simply speaking to Alex on the phone, and then after my son checked in, Alex called me back in Memphis, Tennessee to let me know that everything was okay and my son and his girlfriend were checked in and safe. As a parent, you cannot put a price on that type of service. Not only did he take care of a situation that had my son so frustrated he did not know what to do, but he made them comfortable, calmed them down and helped them end their trip on a fabulous note. Alex who worked the night shift on February 3, 2020, he deserves ALL the kudos AND a promotion! Thank you hHoliday Inn for employing such a wonderful staff! And, thank you Alex for taking care of my family considering I was over 800 miles away. I will forever remember your kindness.

I have been coming to this location for the last three years as part of a conference for authors and readers. I have enjoyed my stay each time but this time it was exceptional.
The entire staff worked hard to make our stay as pleasant as possible and without any issues that can plague are large group. And they performed admirably.
Marlo was an amazing waitress and bartender!! She made great suggestions and treated us like VIPs.
Juan was awesome as well. He maintained a welcoming and pleasant demeanor when he was rushed off his feet and that is a testament to him.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to visit Daytona Beach and enjoy themselves without breaking the bank while receiving getting excellent service.

Booked the jacuzzi suite and was pleased. The room was very clean and it had an oceanfront view. Nice pool except they need a towel bin by the pool to return your dirty towels because people just leave them on the chairs so it looks like all chairs are occupied when they are not. Parking is a pain being across a 5 lane road so a little dangerous to cross. Overall, I would return and recommend.

This hotel is an older building, but it is well maintained and updated with a modern feel and offers all of the amenities that Holiday Inn is known for. Construction and modernization is ongoing all around the area. But Holiday Inn’s early attention to modernization has resulted in this being a quiet and relaxing oasis for their guests.
Everything was clean and well maintained. Access to the beach was easy. The pool well maintained. At the restaurant, the menu was well thought out. The food portions were generous and well prepared.
The most pleasant surprise for me is the hotel staff. Their dedication to the hotel and focus on their guests is what makes this a desirable destination. The common areas are spotless. The staff is warm and friendly. Each staff member made me feel like my needs were important to them personally and that they were truly glad that we chose to stay at their hotel.
Special kudos are in order for our room attendant, Ms. Brenda. She was the most friendly and attentive member of the Holiday Inn staff. She was very respectful of our need for privacy and very thorough with keeping our room clean and fully stocked. She gladly took care of every request we had.
Because of Holiday Inn’s attention to detail and the professional approach to their guests, this particular location has become our first choice for every visit to Daytona Beach.

Since the middle of March and the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, my wife and I have been working from home. For 2 long months we have worked hard to adjust to the conditions which has gone very well considering. The other day at noon she came to me and said “you can work from anywhere right?”. That night after 6 hours of driving we ended up at the Holiday Inn in Daytona. We were welcomed with a warm greeting by Chris at the front desk at 1:40am. This was a bit of a surprise given the time of the night. We were exhausted so we went straight to bed. The next morning which was a Tuesday, we began working in our room. My wife looked over the balcony and noticed a covered porch outside the in-hotel restaurant and went to scope it out. A little while later she came back and said let’s go, we are working down there now. While she was checking out the area she ran into Shae, the Catering Sales Manager. Shae set us up to work on the porch for the week. The view was amazing and the service during the week was incredible. Shae and Jessica took extremely good care of us and catered to our every need while Maria made some delicious lunches that we did not expect from a hotel. We didn’t have to go anywhere! We also met the General Manager, Stuart. Stuart made sure to stop by and visit regularly to check up on us and make us feel at home. It was such a great experience to be able to work right on the beach and have such a great staff take care of us. To see the staff genuinely enjoy their job speaks volumes to the management and takes the overall atmosphere to the next level of great customer satisfaction. We got to know Stuart, Shae and Jessica well during the course of the week but everyone we encountered greeted us with a smiling face, made sure to say hi and ask if we needed anything. On Friday, our last night, my wife and I took a long walk on the beach and then stopped at the restaurant for dinner. Our server Edwin, whom we had not met yet, did not disappoint. Edwin gave us great advice on our dinner choice and topped off the week with the level of service we have known all week long. My family have been coming to Daytona for years and stayed in various hotels. None have come close to giving us the experience that we have had here at the Holiday Inn. We can’t thank you guys enough and will defiantly be back!

Honestly I am not sure how some of these reviews are commenting on the bar as there poolside bar was not open on the weekend 6/28-6/30, disappointing as I was looking forward to mingling at night once kids were down. The firepits were off and there was no attendant on site for beverages even during the day. The breakfast offered was a lackluster, same menu all days (dried pancakes, eggs, sausage/bacon, and toast) and a small cereal option. I could get a better breakfast at McDonald's for $12!! Complimentary coffee is only offered in the morning, as opposed to most hotels that offer it all day long. We opted to have breakfast elsewhere at IHOP down the road.
The hotel is very dated and the carpets are in dire need of cleaning, they looked really dirty and worn out. We stayed on the 2nd floor facing the street and the room was quiet and well kept besides the old carpeting and dated bathrooms. Housekeeping were very friendly and provided towel replacements as we opted for no cleaning. I also learned they charge $9 for parking each day, which to me I feel it should be included in the stay. Also disappointing the rooms did not have a microwave (only mini fridge), would have been convenient to have one for quick meals. I do like that the hotel was located within walking distance to many restaurants and night life /bars in the area on Seabreeze Ave as well as the Pier (if you enjoy walking, otherwise it's about a 5 minute drive). We enjoyed the beach and appreciated they were lifeguards on duty that weekend.
The check in process was great but the lady that checked me in charged the wrong credit card even after I provided a different card at check-in, had to call multiple times to get it corrected, finally got a hold of a manager, Chris Hucks who quickly rectified the issue! Thanks for your excellent customer service Chris!!

The restaurant was really good and check in at the hotel was great. Our bartender and server Marla was great and would recommend eating and socializing here verses going out and about. You have everything that you need at one location

I cannot say enough about the customer service. From the time you step on to the property to check out. Every single employee I encountered never failed to greet me. If I had a question, even if they were not from that department, they went out of their way to make sure my question was answered. The food was also great. Very nice and clean hotel.
The entire staff at the hotel is accommodating. Reception very eager to please.
Everyone at the front desk were helpful and courteous, but a few staff members deserve a special shout out due to their exceptional service…A big thank you to Jackie and specifically Rebecca!
The room was beautiful and had a great view of the ocean and pool.
We were surprised to see such an active cleaning staff making sure to accommodate us when we requested some additional amenities and toiletries for some of our particular needs.
If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing stay, look no more! This location is clean and welcoming. I love how this hotel is right on the beach.

The pier (main centre of the dining/bars area) is about a 15 minute walk. I don’t think Daytona Beach is expensive but there is lots of choice at different price levels.
You can hear the music from the Hard Rock next door
There is limited parking on the hotel property but there is extra parking across the street.
