Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s a nice, secluded campground with very good amenities. Everything went smoothly. The check in was easy and the staff extremely friendly. He explained where our campsite was and asked us if we wanted to change locations to be closer to the pool area. We had a campsite that was complete with electricity and water, although most people that come here either come in their campers or stay in the little cabins. Each night we ate at their restaurant as well as lunch. The food was good and reasonably priced the wait staff was very friendly and you ordered via your phone and a QR code on the table, the bartender s name was rocket. He made a good drink and was also very friendly , on the outside of the bar. There was a screened in large patio where there was a gas fireplace. this was the one area where you were allowed to bring your dog . on Saturday night outdoors they had a nice bonfire. Bathrooms and shower were extremely clean with plenty of hot water. the pool look like it had been recently remodeled, the water was heated on the weekends, the steam room was warm. My very minor critique is that they could’ve used more new lounge chairs at the pool area. Also, you can order on your phone and the food will be delivered to the pool area . Other good things about the pool area were music played at an appropriate volume and good Wi-Fi. There are men weekends and I understand throughout the year, there are a few women’s weekends a good group of people go there and there are people that spend several weeks there, we enjoyed it very much and will be back?

I have been to Vitambi many, many times. I have always had an excellent time. I have met many friends that I still keep in touch with. We make it a point to meet on different weekends to keep in touch. The pool area is always beautiful and the water in the pool is kept at a nice warm temperature. Using their new app, you can order food and drinks at the pool all weekend long. I have stayed in all different types of accommodations there and love them all equally. The Bolo Bar is always fun and find the food in the cafe to be delicious. Everything at the campground is very reasonably priced. When the new RV area opens up, will bring even more fun to the area. Can not say how much I really enjoy it there. Will always go back for the fun themed weekends.

I have been coming here for the past 7 years. I have always had a great time and have made many many friends for which I still keep in touch with. I have stayed in almost all of the cabins, houses and the Inn. I find them all to be terrific. The sunny days at the pool are great. The bar in the evening is so much fun. The food is fantastic. The help and the owners are also extremely accommodating. I try to go at least 2-3 times during the winter months. It is a great place to go and unwind. Get off the social media if you wish, however, they do have wifi in the lodge and the cell service has gotten much better. I just love sitting by the pool and the barn fires in the evening. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Themed weekends are fun too. Go and have a wonderful time. You will not regret it. You will make forever friends too.

Hi everyone. I had a terrible unwelcoming experience here today which is too bad because I loved it here my first visit. So .. Martin confronted me aggressively with his car as I was parking. I am new to the area and I am not familiar will all the rules. Martin stated that I didn’t stop at the clubhouse to register which is true however, the last time I visited which was in May I did register everything at that time , the office was closed. I got the cell phone number of Martin and he sent me a square payment invoice that I paid. This time around(today) because I was driving a different car with a different license plate my intention was to park and text Martin to let him know I’m here for the day and pay if needed for the day.
It was my impression based on my first time that during COVID the office is closed and any day trippers are to text on arrival as he told me in May.
This did not go well with the man in change and he made me feel totally uncomfortable and after driving 2 hours to get to Vitambi I left. 4 hours driving for nothing.
It’s really interesting how someone who owns a business during COVID times aggressively turns someone away just because they are not familiar with the rules. He could have said ...
hey come on over to the office it’s open now we accept people inside now(which I didn’t know)

Good luck to him and Vitambi as the website and Facebook are not giving clear updated information.
Oh and get on Twitter to inform people of changes it will help you modernize...which you need.

Response from Steve McCloud, General Manager at Vitambi Springs Resort and Camp
Responded 10 Oct 2020
Michael, it's pretty simple - you pass three signs asking you to call or stop at registration. It's a mile long driveway you have plenty of time to call, text or even briefly stop. Have you ever been to a private resort? Anywhere? No one allows you to do that. We take our commitment to guests' safety and privacy seriously; you should too.

We just spent an awesome weekend at Vitambi Springs for women’s weekend. From our arrival on Friday, Martin and his crew went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We look forward to future opportunities for the Babes to take over the Glades for a weekend.

Came from out of state for my first visit to Vitambi for a woman's weekend and I can't wait to go back again. The entire staff are so friendly, efficient, helpful and kind. Their food is delicious and they have healthy options, too. If a meal plan is available I highly recommend buying it it's well worth it. The bonfire was a lot of fun and lots of space at the pool to hang out. If you're into wildlife there's a good chance you'll see some cool birds and deer.

Just spent 1 week here. I had an awesome visit. The owner Martin is very accommodating, helpful friendly and welcoming. Beautiful pool, outstanding showerhouse/bathroom. Various accommodations from tent to cabin to RV. The campers are warm and welcoming, you will feel included here! Good on site food, laid back atmosphere. This campground is quick growing; keep an eye on It and make a reservation! This was my first time here but not my last, I'll be back for a week+ in November!!

Has anyone stayed in the Barracks? What was it like? Any pros or cons you can tell us about?
Answer from Lori L
Coconut Creek, Florida1 contribution1 helpful vote
I stayed in the Barracks in Oct. 2019. There is a picture of the outside and inside on the website. Very basic/rustic but I enjoyed it and the whole campground. I already have reservations for May 2020-Babes in the Glades weekend

Nudity is permitted on most of the property, beyond the main lodge and entrance area. Vitambi Springs is a great place for naked hiking and hanging around the pool area.
