Whilst the location is excellent for getting to the Disney parks, this hotel is better suited for young families. There were activities for children laid on regularly, and plenty of loud music. The positives are, the staff were very polite whenever we queried anything, and were quick to respond. The cleaning staff always went out of their way to allow guests use the lift first, and the restaurant staff were quick to respond to any situations. There was a happy hour every day in the bar where certain draft beers and wines were free. Although the menu was not extensive, and never varied, the food was of a good quality.

However, anyone over the age of 30, would find it very hard to find a quiet area to relax in, as there was only one pool, and one bar and restaurant, all of which were often busy and noisy. The only rooms that were quiet, were the ones facing outwards. There was no comfortable 'lounge' area to relax or have a drink in. The reception and only restaurant were clean and bright, but the music at times very loud - when we checked in it was difficult to hear the reception staff. There was loud music blaring out all weekend, so any rooms overlooking the pool could not escape the noise. We were also woken every morning between 7-7:30am by a leaf blower being used around the pool area. The housekeeping was inconsistent : The coffee maker was not working, tea bags and water were not always replaced. It was obvious the rooms weren't swept every day, by accident a couple of small, non valuable personal items ( a flannel and a towling turban) went missing from the rooms, but when reported, they wern't able to retrieve them, and there was no real appology given. The bar ran out of draft beers a couple of times, cocktail of the day was not available, as we were advised they had not got the ingredients, as was the same with the speciality pizza of the day! The room service menu on the app was out of date, with most of the listed items not available. We had to end up going down to the restaurant to order 'room service', which totally defeated the idea!

Meliá is exceptional in every way. My first experience was in Mexico and I’m still not over the wonderful experience. It was all inclusive and better than any other all inclusive resort I’ve ever been to. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get back there. But….Meliá in Orlando has more than made up for it! The experience here is unmatched. Service, staff, food, rooms are all on point. The restaurant is phenomenal. The interior atmosphere puts you in a beach resort even though you are not at the beach. The location is perfect because there is everything around if you need it. We’ve been here twice, always get the two bedroom suite and it was even than the first time. I won’t give up my room number because I need it to be available the next time I go….hopefully soon! Thanks meliá for such a great experience again.

We booked this hotel as part of a package deal with BA holidays.
Upon arrival, early evening, after a long flight from London. expecting an easy check in. We were told that the room we had booked (and paid extra for) was not now available and had been given away. We were allegedly being given an upgrade (but I'd already booked the top room) the upgrade was a 2nd balcony....overlooking the parking lot and the busy 192. The room was tired and had an odd smell. I was absolutely distraught having flown 10 hours and looking out onto the parking lot (this was a 10 day holiday). After complaining they eventually moved me into 'my booked room' the next day and the room was beautifully clean, very spacious and had a gorgeous pool view.

If you want peace and quiet over new year do not book this hotel The hotel had a new year's eve party in the open area in middle of the hotel buildings. The hotel is circular so the sound was amplified. The party went on until 2am - not just a party the DJ was shouting (not even talking) in the microphone and the music was so loud, we had to put pillows over our heads to try and muffle the noise and the poor kids couldnt sleep either. The party stopped and we were expecting to get to sleep but the hotel then decided to remove the stage, tables and tidy up until about 5am. I like to party but this was unacceptable.

Reception very rarely answered calls. I rang down twice requesting a shower cap, the receptionist had no idea what this was and said she was going to speak to house keeping to find out! I eventually got one after my second phone call.

Sadly I hadnt realised and no-one had mentioned in prior reviews about the pool and sun. Admittedly we were there in Dec/Jan but we were often out playing golf in the morning, would get back to the pool at about 3pm and hope to relax for a few hours. If you also want to do this (and stay warm) this is not the hotel for you. As soon as the sun remotely starts to move, the pool becomes covered in shade. By 4pm there was no sun left at all around the pool and it was super cold.

On the positive the room was cleaned very well however the coffee/dishwasher tablets and water were not always replaced which meant I had to ring down to ask for additional supplies, bit of a nightmare when no one answers your call.

The two bedroom suit was vast and had lots of room with the main amenities, however do note, there is no oven and no washing machine, which would have made the accommodation perfect.

Dear Ms Rachel, We would like to thank you for this review of your recent experience with us. We are pleased to learn that you found the room cleanliness to be satisfactory and appreciated the spaciousness of the two-bedroom suite. However, we are disheartened to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay, including the initial room allocation and the disturbance from our New Year's Eve celebration. We are also sorry for any challenges you faced with our reception service and the lack of sun in the pool area in the afternoon. We understand how important a restful environment and attentive service are to our guests, and we are reviewing your feedback to ensure we maintain the high standards expected of the Meliá Orlando Celebration. Nonetheless, we trust that the expansive amenities within the two-bedroom suite contributed positively to your stay. We also hope that your next visit will allow you to experience The Wilson, our renowned restaurant that offers a menu of coastal cuisine with global influences, as well as our daily cocktail party where we can personally meet and discuss our hotel's offerings. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Kindest regards, Alma De Villa, Hotel Manager

Besides the rooms needing some updating and TLC, room 335 had giant roaches, also known as palmetto bugs in Florida. On the second day of 5, we found 2 of them in our room. I immediately notified the hotel and asked to speak to a manger but there wasn't one on duty and because they were sold out, they didn't have any other rooms but one available which was right below the one we were currently in. That didn't provide much comfort to me as I was concerned the bugs would just be in that room too since they were directly above and below each other. I asked to have a manager contact me the next day. In addition, this room we were in was a last minute upgrade from a standard to a 1 bedroom with kitchen for an additional $60 per night. I attempted to get the room treated by hotel maintenance, but they said no one was available until Monday, as this was a Friday. This meant we were expected to live with these nasty giant bugs until then. Maintenance however, did say they would attempt to get someone out the next day. That night, my husband and I drove to WalMart and purchased our own indoor pest control spray and treated the entire room. That night, I happened to get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and one was crawling across the floor. The next morning when we woke up, there was a 4th bug dead in front of the fridge so we knew the treatment was working. The next day again, there was another one dead in the bathroom. After that, we didn't find anymore but then it was time to check out. No one ever got back to me about spraying as they were going to try to get someone out on Saturday. The manager never called me and upon check out, they wouldn't come out to speak to me either. The desk clerk said they could waive the room upgrade fee and half off the daily resort fee. I had sleepless nights in this room due to the fear of having these bugs in the room. We had to shake out our clothes and shoes each day to check if any may have crawled in them and I am also concerned for hitchhikers to be brought to our home in our luggage. I feel further compensation is due and plan to contact corporate. Dealing with this initially caused me to lose an entire night of time with friends as we were there with a large group for a big event. Instead I had to deal with this. Had it been just one bug, that is different as it could have come through the slider or something random but because we found 5 of them, it seems they have taken up residence in the hotel and it needs to be tended to. I will never stay here again.

Dear 596karik, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are disheartened to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay, particularly with the unwelcome visitors in your room. We understand how distressing this must have been for you and your family, and we deeply regret that we did not meet the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction we set for ourselves. The presence of pests is indeed concerning, and we want to assure you that we have a comprehensive pest control program in place to manage the natural wildlife that thrives in Florida's climate. Furthermore, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of immediate availability of our maintenance team. We strive to address such concerns as swiftly as possible and regret that we fell short in this instance. This is certainly not reflective of the level of service we aim to provide. While the desk clerk's offer was meant as an immediate gesture to acknowledge the inconvenience you faced, we understand that your overall experience was not what you hoped for. We are sorry that we were not able to resolve these issues to your satisfaction during your stay. Guest reviews like yours are crucial in helping us refine our services and ensure that all aspects of our guests' holidays are nothing short of exceptional. We do hope to be able to welcome you back for a more enjoyable stay. Kind regards, Alma De Villa, Hotel Manager

The hotel buildings and rooms are dated, smelly and in disrepair. I was staying with my husband in a king suite. There was nothing to wash or dry dishes with (sponge, dish cloth, drying towel/rack), forcing us to use towels from the bathroom towels, which were inadequately stocked. When we called for extra sets of towels, 1 bath towel was sent. On the second day the towels left on the floor were not restocked, forcing us to call down yet again to ask for additional towels. The towels themselves were threadbare and small. The toilet flushing mechanism broke due to rust and disrepair. It was repaired several hours after reporting. Posted signs in the room stated that bedsheets would be NOT be replaced if a hanger was placed on the bed. We specifically did NOT place a hanger and the bed was made, but the sheets were NOT replaced during our stay. The bathroom wall needed repair/finishing. The refrigerator inexplicably moved out of its designated space repeatedly indicating it, or the floor was not level. The dishwasher was not secure and would tip out of its designated space when opened. No additional paper towels or trash bags were provided. The sliding glass door was nearly impossible to open or close and the lock was warped rendering it unusable. The room safe had been “locked” in the open position and would not reset rendering it unusable. The “fitness center” was more like a room. When my husband attempted to use a group dance fitness class was taking place and no other fitness equipment was noticed. Other that the property’s close proximity to ESPN I would NEVER stay here or recommend it to others. We travel to Orlando multiple times a year for sports competitions and specifically seek properties with functional kitchens, fitness centers and pools. I cannot speak to the pool as the weather was not cooperative. The front desk and restaurant appeared to be recently updated. The food was decent, but the coffee machine in lobby had a note stating it was out of service.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It's great to hear that you appreciated the recent updates to our front desk and restaurant areas, as well as the quality of the food offered. We're also pleased that our proximity to ESPN met your needs. We're concerned to read about the issues you've encountered during your stay, such as the room amenities and the condition of some facilities. While we are constantly working on enhancing our guest experience, including various renovation projects and the introduction of new features, it seems we fell short in some areas during your visit. We take your feedback seriously and will look into the mentioned points as part of our ongoing commitment to improvement. Please rest assured that we have a comprehensive wellness program and a fully equipped gym in partnership with the AdventHealth Wellness Center & Spa, and we regret if this was not made clear during your stay. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with a stay that truly reflects the high standards we strive to achieve. Alma De Villa, Hotel Managerx

We have just returned from an amazing two week holiday in Melia Celebration. As previous visitors to a Melia (we have stayed in Sol Lanzarote many times), this year Melia Orlando provided us somewhere new, for less cost than Sol, but still with the guarantees of quality that come with a Melia stay. As first timers to Orlando (visiting from Ireland), whilst we didn't want to stay in the parks, we did want to be close, Melia is that, 10/15 mins to Disney, Epcot and Hollywood studios in an Uber and 25 mins (max) to Universal. Also the hotel itself is a 10 minute walk from many restaurants, Walgreens and alternative coffee shops. Plus only a 10 minute journey to the beautiful scenic town of Celebration. I simply cannot recommend Melia highly enough. Our accomodation (a family suite with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, sitting room, two bathrooms, three TVs) was perfect for down time. Beds were comfortable and the food was of exceptional quality. We chose to have the breakfast bundle and we were all well catered for, a big shout out to the amazing Matt, who would always check if your day involved a park visit, to ensure your breakfast was served timely and fresh. Gluten free options were plentiful for breakfast and the children themselves could chose anything from the menu, but were particularly fond of the pancake stacks and french toast. The breakfast time overall are lovely, professional and efficient. I wish I could recall more names, but one girl, who worked there every morning of our stay (I think her name was Oletta, honestly Melia Management, she is a star). The pool in Melia is clean, well furnished (sun loungers are a little uncomfortable), but overall minor complaint, my children loved it on down days. Loads of places to sit either in the sun or under shade and no matter what time of the day you arrived at the pool it was calm with plenty of options. There is entertainment on Saturday and Sundays and staff go out of their way to involve all, without impeding on you. Pool service and lunch food is a little slow, but oven pizza was a big hit amongst my gang. Adam, Javiar and alot of his colleagues in reception were super helpful, there as one very cranky lady, but to be fair she didn't take away from our sense that this overall team are brilliant and really care about their customers. In short, if you are looking for a beautiful, comfortable family space, excellent location, good food and an alternative to park life, go and book Melia Orlando, you won't be disappointed.

Dear Mrs. Eimear, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are delighted that you enjoyed the comfort and spaciousness of our family suite, along with the high standards of the breakfast service provided by our team, including Matt and Oletta. It is also wonderful to know that our gluten-free options and varied menu delighted your family each morning. Moreover, we are pleased that our reception team, including Adam and Javier, provided you with exceptional service, setting a positive tone for your stay. However, we regret to hear that the pool service did not completely meet your expectations, and we will take your feedback into consideration for future improvements. We also understand that the sun loungers may not have been to your comfort level, and we will explore ways to enhance our poolside furnishings. Nevertheless, we are thrilled that the location of our hotel made your visits to the nearby parks and town of Celebration convenient. For your next visit, we encourage you to enjoy our daily cocktail party from 4 to 5 pm, where you can meet with our managers and learn more about our hotel and our Meliá chain. And don't forget, our new Welcome minibar awaits you in your room for a delightful treat. It would be our pleasure to have you return on another occasion. Best wishes, Alma De Villa, Hotel Manager

We take an annual trip and this is our fourth year staying at Melia. The restaurant was too expensive. Location to the parks was perfect five minutes via Uber. Our suite needed a deep cleaning. Melia doesn't offer paper towels nor dish soap. Our shower head sprayed all over and you had to make sure you had the curtain closed correctly. Our toilet had a stain by the handle. Our quilt had a blood stain that was very old on it. The rooms smelled musty. The furniture needed a deep polish to it. Our kitchen floor was mopped but you can hear the stickness when we walked. My grandson had on white socks after being on the floor for an hour walking around his socks were black. I love Melia as it is so close to Epcot for our annual trip but this time for the weekend price of $640.00 the room needed to be more up to par with the cleanliness and amenities as dish soap and paper towels and a working shower head. Even our shower liner was dirty.

Hotel in general very very good, spacious rooms, with the addition of kitchen and lounge, which makes you can have breakfast and dinner comfortably with family. The beds are hypercomfortable which makes after all the day in the parks you get a very good rest. Perfect pool with lots of inflatables for kids and very entertaining parties on weekends. Late Check-out option, very good for those who catch Late Flights.

To improve to get the 5 stars (hope you take note for next customers)
- Being a Spanish network I expected reception to be spoken in Spanish (which does not happen). All the rest of the hotel staff speak it (cleanliness, maintenance, bar etc. ALL BUT RECEPTION), so I do not understand that this is not required, even if I know in Spain at receptions several languages are spoken. They are also very "gridded" , because of a change in my Flights had to make three reservations to add days to my stay and, although from Spain was given the order to unify reservations, I had to make three chek-in and three chek-out with their respective time losses.
- Fix the drawers, that there is no way to open and close so they become unusable. the dishwasher also did not work well and the arrangement they did was to put a flange.
- put cleaning supplies (a rag, a scourer, a fairy and a broom to keep the room minimally collected after using the kitchen and dining room (which sometimes embarrassed us how the room looked for housekeeping, but we had nothing to clean and although we bought scourer and fairy we did not have a sad rag to go to the table or counter, nor broom to sweep a little after meals)
- More hours and better transfer times to parks. For universal the only one there is at 7:20am, so you get to universal 1h before it opens and return at 6pm. For MK there are two trips but the returns are very late , already closed the park, so if you get tired and want to return to the hotel there is no option, also no option to go to rest at midday and return in the afternoon until closing. To AK there is not even a bus, you have to go to another park and then transfer by disney bus. The epcot and Hollywood is 11:20 late and the return soon 8:45 pm. So if you are going to need to spend on taxis, uber or lyft. (we could only use it one day, it never coincided with us again). Distances to the parks are between 20 minutes to 40 because there are always traffic jams, so keep in mind.
The laundry says it costs $3 but when you pass the card it charges you $5.
- The cleaning is not very good, one of the days we were not even done and others did not sweep, so the floor was quite dirty, I think in the 15 days I was not scrubbed a day since when you were barefoot they stayed black feet. That's despite leaving a $10 or $12 tip every day.

In general I would repeat, as long as the points I have highlighted are solved because I think the solution is very easy.

I’ve stayed before and given good reviews before but, after deciding to return a year later, I am extremely disappointed. Extremely uncomfortable bed. My “stay well” room didn’t let me have one good nights sleep. I tossed and turned every night. Might as well put me on a concrete floor. The air purifier included in the room had never had its filter changed by the looks of it. I’m actually somewhat convinced, it made me sick. Most of the decor was ok but everything was old and beaten up looking. When told all of this, the staff offered very little to make things easier. I spent the next 3 days at home recovering from the sickness and lack of sleep from this 3 night stay.

Dear L6736PJseank, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sincerely troubled to hear about your recent experience at our hotel, particularly with the comfort of your Stay Well room. Our guests' restful sleep is a top priority, and it seems we fell short in providing this for you. We apologize for any discomfort caused by the bed and are reviewing this feedback with our housekeeping team to ensure our high standards are met. Furthermore, we are concerned about your mention of the air purifier not being up to standard. Maintaining a fresh and healthy environment in our Stay Well by Delos™ rooms is essential, and we regret any oversight in this area. We also apologize if the state of the decor did not reflect the quality environment we aim to provide. Continuous improvements are important to us, and your comments are crucial in this process. Delivering exceptional service is at the core of our values, and we are sorry that we missed the mark during your stay. Rest assured, we will be taking your feedback seriously as part of our ongoing commitment to guest satisfaction. We very much look forward to seeing you again in the future. I would definately recommend this hotel. It is modern, upto date, clean. LOTS of free parking. We had an Kingsize room with kitchen area and living room area (just like in the pictures of the website). We upgraded from just a bedroom, so we had the facility to make ourselves food rather than eating out for every meal. It had a big fridge freezer, microwave, mini coffee filter machine and hob. Kitchen utensils were basic, but fine for us. Also had a toaster, but we asked for a kettle and then brought us an electric kettle. Bed was massive and you could have fresh linen and towels every day if you wanted, by leaving the appropriate tags. The whole room was a very very good size, and the settee was actually a bed setttee aswell. The balcony overlooked the main road / car park, but this did mean we didn't have to worry about people looking in from the pool side. I think this was more than we indended to pay really, and the additonal $36 tax per night on arrival was a stinger, however, it was worth it. Great pool, some sort of entertainment each day, laundry room, cabanas to be hired, poolside towels, water on arrival. Very close by (within walking distance!) there is a panera bread, walgreens, applebys, pewei, chickafila (being refurbished) plus a few others, and just a further 5 mins there is a publix. Would definately recommend.

Dear 149Nikik, Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted that you appreciated the modern design of the hotel, the cleanliness, the ample complimentary parking, and the well-equipped room with its kitchen amenities. It's wonderful to know that these features contributed to the comfort and convenience of your stay. Additionally, we are pleased that you enjoyed the variety of entertainment options, our laundry facilities, and our inviting pool area. We understand that the additional tax at check-in was unexpected and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We aim to be transparent with all our fees and will review how we can better communicate this information during the booking process to prevent any surprises for our guests upon arrival. Nevertheless, it's great to hear that our location was convenient for your needs, with nearby dining options and essentials within walking distance. For your next visit, we would like to invite you to our daily cocktail party from 4 to 5 pm, where you can meet the managers and learn more about our hotel and our chain. Additionally, our new Welcome minibar in all rooms will enhance your next stay with us. We hope to see you again soon. Kind regards, Alma De Villa, Hotel Manager
