I checked in to the Holiday Inn West IHG, I authorized them to charge 2 nights, the rate was approximately $150.00 per. By the 2nd day I noticed multiple charges on my Credit Card, $700.00 plus, 450.00 plus, $250.00 plus. I needed to extend. I went to the front desk with screenshots of the charges and the total of the amount that I was charged. After wasting 30min the woman at the front desk agreed with me and stated there was an error, she said she had to speak to someone, and that it would be corrected. I extended my stay an additional night after the Hotel representative agreed that the over charge would be corrected. The following day due to my business matters I had to extend once again. Now aftera 3 night stay, and a rate of $150.00 per night, there were more charges on my credit card which totaled over $2,000.00. Now with a new representative at the front desk I had to go through the whole explanation / accounting again. After approx 30min the 2nd representative agreed that there was an ERROR in the way I was billed. The woman extended the room with no additional charges but asked me to come and see her the following morning, it was that night that was the additional night that I had extended. As per the Hotel employee requested I went to the front desk at 9AM. That morning I gave her my notes on what they had charged to my credit card and what the rate was. she updated my room key and asked me to come see her at noon. Now I had probably wasted 3hrs with their mistake, and I was extremely tired because I had worked thru the night on the phone with overseas. So I go back at Noon as requested, and was told that the accounting error would be corrected at that time. When I went back to the desk she called what was the Assistant Manger from the office behind the front desk. Out come this short disheveled guy in a cheap suit. This nasty rude poor excuse for a manger refused to present me with a statement of charges, and told me I had 30min to pay him for the additional night in 30min or leave the Hotel. He also refused to see what I was charge be the hotel. Because I had business commitments and I had been working all night, I paid for an additional night. The crap coming from this guy's mouth was like I was in the twilight zone, he was unbelievable. Whoever hired him has no business being in the hospitality business. It may take time, buy I will get my money back+

Older hotel but has been and is being updated. Pool and hot tub was nice. Clean property. The only problem was that breakfast is not included. It sounds like it is on the website, but out of all the ihg properties we stayed at this week, this was only one that charged extra for the breakfast. Looking at options, it wasn’t worth the price.

The front of the hotel looked nice enough, almost cozy. The lobby was not unprepossessing and the reception people were nice. The lobby opened onto a courtyard with a swimming pool and the Tiki Bar and Restaurant. At first sight, it looked appealing. The bar faced the pool and there were outdoor tables, the restaurant was a hamburger and fries affair; breakfast in the morning had some hot items but not appealing enough for me. Some guests did not share my opinion. The rooms were quiet with good air conditioning. Overall the décor of our suite was partly remodeled 60’s chic. Entering the living room was a shock to the system but the bathroom had a new shower and washbasin area. The bedroom was 60’s chic with a new and comfortable queen bed. Our sleep was comfortable and undisturbed. We had breakfast elsewhere and checked out immediately after breakfast. I found this property on the hot discount hotel site which only shows you anonymous hotels in a geographical section of the city. I picked the section of town near where I was going. I have had better luck with this site in the past.

CONS: 1. It seems like they converted a regular room to a "handicapped room". They moved the bathroom sink out into the hallway. The shower curtain draped into the bathroom itself, dripping water onto the bathroom floor. 2. The sneaky hotel charged a $50.00 incidentals charge, even when there is no "incidentals". 3. They advertised "free breakfast", then said there was no free breakfast with our room's charge. 4. the HVAC filter has cached on it about 1/2 inch of dust, blocking the heat and cool air coming to our unit. PROS: 1. nicely decorated bedroom 2. free Keurig coffee to help you forget there is a charge for breakfast
