We were only there for a night. We booked through the phone late at night, and the lady who picked up was quite friendly and accommodating. We managed to check-in without much hassles at 1am.
The room was spacious and tidy. It was a little dim for me, but ok. It was comfortable, so I generally had a good sleep.

Although motel is managed remotely, the owners were easy to contact, unlike others i have stayed at.Motel had spacious rooms a comfortable bed with a good size tv . Bathroom could do with a spruce up but is ok. Close to the highway but not too much traffic at night. No breakfast but at least 2 cafe options in town, the one i went to had excellent food . Tradies were are you.

The Motor Inn is located a couple of kilometers out of town. Rooms are spotlessly clean, large and very comfortable. Reception was efficient and friendly. There are loads of cockatoos hanging around the property late afternoon.

So over priced at $180 (with their intention to increase to $220) 😳.
The shower barely worked, I got a trickle of warm water for 2 minutes then it reverted to cold.
The room is barely updated, the curtains are old and worn, power board on display.
The only positive was the white linen was clean, the room was clean, and the bed well made.

Hi Annie - we are sorry that your stay was soured by the issue with the hot water. We did check upon your departure and it was working fine. In term of room rates $180 is our peak xmas - new year rate which is very reasonable. Our low and high season rates are between $120 and $150 per night which is again very reasonable. Special events and long weekend rates are $220 per night Thank you for appreciating the cleanliness of the room.

Relaxed, friendly, clean accommodation. Cute little motel rooms, basic but got everything you could need. Stayed here prior to moving into our more permanent accommodation in the area.
Managers allowed us an early check-in to cater for our small children, due to the room being ready which was wonderful. Same day booking, and stayed 3 days. Even has a small little kids playground which the kids thought was wonderful.
Loved staying here WAY more than the motels we stayed at in Portland.
Will encourage friends and family visiting to stay here as well :)

Typical old motel in need of a spruce up. Check in etc no worries with friendly staff. Tidy rooms with all the fundamentals. Bathroom is pretty jaded but ok for one night. Highway is a bit noisy at times. Solid but not spectacular. Nothing really wrong with it.

The outside looked nice with flower garden at front, but the room was quite ordinary: outdated and worn appearance; cobwebs in the corners; inadequate heating from the split system unit for the family room; heated beds but one didn't turn on, on another the cord overheated, and a third bed didn't have one; and not enough cutlery for everyone to have a cuppa in the morning. It was the only motel in town, so I guess we were lucky the proprietor was friendly and did give us a little break on the price, which was still overpriced and ended up being the most expensive accommodation of our whole vacation.

Great motor inn......warm and cosy room on a very cold night....immaculate interior with everything you could require....Jill and Kevin are wonderful, friendly hosts.....nothing is too much trouble for them. Scrumptious cooked breakfast at a very reasonable price......We stayed an extra night than intended, as it was great value for money ......will be making a return visit soon.

Decided to stay here to break the Great Ocean Road Drive from Melbourne to Adelaide. This place is best described as a motel where the car is parked right next in front of your room.

It is easy to find as there was a blue sign driving off from the highway stating motel is x-distance away
The room delivers what it states on the website, such as towels, microwave, hair dryer etc.
A positive surprise was internet wifi is available at reception/their main house. But not in any of the rooms that are sold hence you have to walk to reception to get the internet, which the owners shared the passwords with us.

The management who run the place are not as friendly as we would have thought being in a such a stress free easy going location. We reached around 930pm and needed internet for a few minutes for some last minute work. The lady receptionist asked us to stand outside the house and get wifi access. It was cold and after a few minutes she turned of the wifi - I guess it was time for them to sleep.
We made the booking via booking.com and they wanted to charge me extra for an infant and another adult whilst the website said double room. The charge was 10AUD for second adult and 20AUD for the infant. I found this unethical to charge for an infant, as we have not experienced this anywhere. After much discussion I paid for the second adult as I noticed that number of adults did not match as per reservation however I completely disagreed on the charge for the infant.
Overall - I would not stay here again as I saw far better places in Mount Gambier or Portland etc. They are 50-100AUD more expensive however I think it would be better off. Only deal with the management in the morning and afternoon. After 8pm - avoid as it is a rural setting and they are used to taking it easy :)

We normally start work cooking breakfast at 5am in the morning and like to retire about 9.30 we advertise that we do not have wifi and were being nice to you to having access to our private internet.The office was locked at 9.30 as we were going to bed.The price of a room here is $98 for 2 and if you had told the truth when booking .Booking .com was current with the price.Have a good look at true comments on our motel this is the only sight where people can write untrue comments
