Myself and my wife stayed at the Royal Apollonia Hotel for a week in September. We had a great stay at this lovely hotel. The staff were all wonderful and we were welcomed with a glass of fizz on arrival which was a lovely touch after a long journey. We must say a special thank-you to Paulina, Angelos, and the Goddess of frozen Margarita's Anna at the pool bar. Also a huge thanks to all the other staff who's names we cant remember, they were all great and the smiles and courtesy shown to us never stopped all week. On arrival we were shown to our room which had been thoroughly cleaned and "sealed". The sealing tape was removed and we were shown into our spotless room overlooking the wonderful pool and the beach. Even the TV remote control had been cleaned and placed in a sealed bag.
All COVID protocols were in place during our stay and we felt safe at all times, the breakfast buffet was great and the staff ensured that all guests wore masks and gloves whilst at the buffet.
A fantastic hotel which is a glowing testament to the dedication and quality of the staff that work there.Well done to all and thank you for a magical week.

Truly superb hotel. Spent a week on “All Inclusive Ultra”. On arrival, a selection of chocolate and Champagne at reception. The room was immaculate, plenty of storage and every accessory you could need. Beds are extremely comfortable and cleaned daily with fresh fruit and chocolates delivered to your room nightly. The staff are tremendous, from the General Manager, who came out for a drink with us, right through to the housemaids, all courteous and attentive. The food was excellent, from huge breakfast selection, superb lunches and fabulous dinners that included, wild Guinea Fowl, peasant, racks of lamb, pork and beef fillet, baron of lamb. Delicious wines and great choices. The in-house Japanese restaurant was simply superb, great choices of Sashimi and SushI and other delicious Asian dishes. The Royal Spa provides all the required amenities you could wish for, as my wife testified after a couple of relaxing visits. A truly excellent hotel with staff and service to be proud of. Thank you all.

My friend and I chose this hotel carefully and it totally delivered . We had half board as we didn’t need lunch too . All the food is delicious & varied made by skilled chefs. We didn’t get bored , there’s something for everyone. The drinks were delicious with a lovely cocktail selection. Wine is good too.
The rooms are comfortable - we had a twin room overlooking the road facing west, the balcony was warm before breakfast but shady collecting the sunset rays. There is a little road noise on a Friday and Saturday night but the patio doors keep out most , didn’t disturb us particularly. Having a sea view didn’t bother us as we’re looking at it all day and the Troodos mountain view was lovely.
The beds and sun beds are comfortable, the beach is literally below the pool with no tides, warm enough to swim dawn to dusk. Being here in September there are few children, it’s not fully occupied and we found it restful and luxurious. The bus for Limassol old town and marina is directly outside only €1.5 each way, ( drinks at the hotel and locally are comparable at €7-9 cocktail ). The trips through the Ascot agency were easy to book with great care that any nationality can understand the details and feel included.
On the final day it’s possible to stow your luggage at reception, swim & then shower indoors near the pool, returning your beach towels is possible until 830pm ( if you have a late flight )
Everyone we spoke with was as happy as us. We met lovely guests from Lebanon, Britain & France. Those of us who wishes too watched the Queens funeral in the bar.
Quality is evident in the whole decor , food and service with a friendly smile. Really recommend this hotel. Every member of staff in every capacity made our stay the best.

We arrived at the hotel tired after a very early start and a longish journey. As we waited to check in we were given a glass of fizz, and immediately relaxed into what was to be a wonderful week. The room was lovely, loads of storage for clothes, very comfy bed, fabulous view over the grounds to the sea. There were two mirrors with power points next to them for hairstyling (missing in many hotels) and it was immaculately clean.
All inclusive hotels don’t always have the best food but the Royal Apollonia did. There was plenty of choice, it was all fresh, hot where appropriate, and it took willpower not to overeat! Face masks had to be worn but only whilst at the buffet. The dining room was light and airy with tablecloths in the evening and you could sit inside or out. The service was superb, chairs pulled back for you, drinks brought quickly, and topped up before needed. Natalia, Yianosella and Raphael were charmingly attentive.
There was plenty of space for sitting inside or out for a morning coffee, pre and post dinner drinks, all of which were served to you by waiting staff.
The pool bar also brought cool drinks to you whilst you relaxed on the comfortable sun loungers around the pool. Music played but there were quiet areas for adults only so it wasn’t intrusive. The beach was not huge but there were sun beds and the sound of the waves was lovely.
All in all a lovely holiday. If you just want to relax by the pool this hotel is spot on.

This hotel is not up to 5 star standard, my wife and I have stayed in better 3 star hotels. The rooms are small, the food is at best average and is seldom hot.

It is the only 5 star hotel in my experience where you have to take your pool towels back at the end of the day so that you can have some fresh ones for the following day and there is a charge of 15 euros for any towel not returned at the end of your stay.

There are two restaurants, other than the buffet, where you have to have the set menu otherwise there is a charge even when you're half board. The buffet itself tends to be mainly repetitive, although they have a theme each night which does give a couple, but not a lot, of alternative dishes.

We had returned from another 5 star hotel just prior to this holiday and the difference between the two was unbelievable.

We recently stayed for 4 nights in an ocean view room with balcony. As per previous reviews the hotel itself is beautiful, the location around it not so much.

The staff are very friendly and on arrival the glasses of fizz and chocolates are a nice touch.

The breakfast choice is fantastic and the setting wonderful, inside/outside available. We always chose outside.

We had hired a car on arrival at Larnaca airport (Sixt) and it’s an easy drive to the hotel (40 minutes) we had sat nav which was very helpful especially when we had a cloudy day and drove around the island.

We were on a bed and breakfast rate through BA holidays. Lots of people were all inclusive thru various tour operators.

Our first dinner experience was in the Japanese style restaurant. Sadly my food was cold and looked nothing like the dish I’d ordered, I had to ask for it to be heated up. At the time we didn’t get an apology from the restaurant. I think the staff were more embarrassed, it was surprising as we were the only two in the restaurant and after reading the reviews I was really looking forward to it. (I spoke to hotel management the next day and they apologised and were investigating, although we were on our way home by the time they responded ) It might have been a nice touch to give us a free drink or bill reduction whilst we were there.
Anyway, for the rest of the trip we went to the buffet style restaurant which was great, lots of choice and the staff are always helpful/smiling.
Overall we really enjoyed our short stay here and would recommend the hotel.

We have not long returned (6 days) from a week at this wonderful hotel. This was part of an inclusive package vacation with Jet2 holidays. When booking we really did not know what to expect. the brochure pictures looked very nice but don't they always! On arrival at Reception, the bell boy greeted us with a glass of Cava the receptionist offered us chocolates. They dealt with our registration fast and efficiently and we were immediately shown to our room on the 6th top floor. I bags were carried for us by the porter. Once in we were able to appreciate the splendour of the large spacious room with lounge chairs and a table with every facility you could want. But the real wow was the view. It directly overlooked the hotel private beach and the sea, The huge swimming pool complex was on the enormous terrace below. Overall we were delighted with one of the best room we have stayed in for a long time it proved to be above our expectations.

The meals were included in our package and the buffet restaurant was large and spaciously comfortable. The food choice was just amazing, in fact, it was a little over helming. All the meal were excellent. Of course, they load the drinks prices but then that the norm where ever you stay.

But my best recommendation and complement is for the staff who were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, our every need and request was dealt with a smile and courtously. It really was an excellent 5-star service indeed.

Also, there is a nice 15-meter warm indoor pool, spa and gym all included. The hotel also had a couple of pay for speciality restaurants, but we never bothered to use them as the buffet was more than enough for us, but other told us that they were also excellent service and quality so overall a wonderful hotel well worthy of it a luxury star rating. Were going back in September!

Bookee 2 weeks at this hotel for a familly break with a 9yr old child.

From arrival and check in, you could sense a great and good level of service, check in was quick and useful with just enough information given. We were sent to use the dinner buffet before it closes.

After dinner we went to our room, very good standard, very clean, however the beds were made as a twin and a sofa bed. We asked for the bed to be made as a double, which they did the next day. I am not sure if it is the standard but if a family is booking, the main bed shoild be made as a double.

The room on first impression is super clean and fresh, we had a room with sea view which is a lot nicer than the view over the parking and busy road at the back. It is worth the extra £.

The bathroom was very clean and well stocked.

The duvet cover for the double is not big enough, and the pillows need refreshing, this will be the only negatives.

Breakfast / lunch / dinner were all great quality, however after spending 2 weeks, choices of desserts are too repetitive. Service is outstanding, always acknowledge and made to feel at home. Paulina the F&B Manager is just outstanding.

Only one negative here, food tags must be checked for accuracy and please ensure they are cleaned. The baked beans sign was the same over the 2 weeks and dirty with splashes. No name tags on desserts which is a shame, if those are attended to, you would have a faultless review.

Japanese and Greek option part of the all inclusive are great and very good quality.

Service at the pool bar is average compared to the rest, where in fact people spend most of their time while on all inclusive, service standards are not consistent and some of the team don’t seem happy to be there which impacts the rest of the team.

Sun beds on the pool side are very comfy and clean, less comfy on the beach but nothing to worry about as the water is so clear and the beach well kept that this little negative does not make this experience a bad one. In fact the beach was very enjoyable and the water so much warmer than the very cold swimming pool.

Watersport is extra and quite expensive but great service there as well.

A big negative for this hotel is the lack of entertainment, just nothing! Very poor when travelling with a child. We would never book agaim as a family, as a couple we would book again without a doubt. The team made us feel at home, however bring familly games etc as part of a all inclusive you will need to find things to do. Would not recommend this hotel for a family holiday.

A few items have been a let down in regards to the maintenance of the hotel, several of the glass panels are cracked, they have not been replaced which lets your standards down and make your customer feel that there is a lack of attention.

Beside this, good hotel and a very good team

The Royal Apollonia Hotel deserves the 5 star ratings it consistently gets. The customer service is excellent in every part of the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff.

The reception staff greet you with a welcoming smile and genuinely want to ensure you have the best holiday.

The Assistant Manageress is very friendly and makes time to speak to all hotel guests.

The communal parts of the hotel are kept to a very high standard and are spotlessly clean.

The outdoor pool is fantastic. A big shout out to the life guard Stella who is very welcoming and makes sure that all the guests are happy. The pool attendants are brilliant too, always ready to assist if you want to move the direction of the sun bed or need an extra umbrella.

The dining facilities are of a very high standard. We chose half board and apart from the usual buffet, you can also eat at the Greek and Japanese restaurants once a week. All the food was excellent. The waiters/waitresses are very friendly and helpful.

The housekeeping is fantastic. Our room was cleaned and ready by midday every day.

I would strongly suggest getting a sea view room as the inland view is very noisy with motor bikes screeching up and down the road. We moved rooms because of this and it made a big difference to our stay.

The hotel were trialling their app whilst we were there called Exclusivi which I have to say is a great asset to the service they provide. You can order your drinks from your sun-bed which get delivered within 5 minutes of the order being received. There are also other features eg housekeeping, room service, spa bookings etc which you can use from the app.

It has been 3 years since our last family holiday due to Covid, so we had very high hopes and expectations for this holiday and the Royal Apollonia did not disappoint, we had a fantastic time and hope to return in 2023.

Situated a few kilometres east of the Limassol Old Town is the Royal Apollonia Hotel in its regal location on its own private beach. It is possible to walk along the mostly paved beach promenade to Limassol but be prepared for regular breaks in the refreshment stops along the way.
The hotel Lido is on 3 levels leading to the beach with gradually sloping shaped swimming pool and the pool bar sitting in the pool. Surrounded by gardens and very comfortable pool side loungers looking out to sea. A perfect spot for a relaxing holiday whilst being served cold drinks.
The ground floor of the hotel houses the main restaurant extending on a terrace. Here it is possible to catch the morning sun whilst enjoying the perfect breakfast from a large array of choices. The terrace restaurant is also an ideal location for a perfect lunch and dinner. Staff are very efficient at keeping the table tidy and ready to serve you with all your needs. They are very energetic and keen to serve, set by the shining example of Rafael who is eager to help in any way that he can, a professional at his job who knows and remembers everyone and their favourite food and drink.
After dinner relax in the lounge terrace and be entertained by artists, singers over a cocktail or a Keo beer. A great place to meet other guests and have a pleasant evening before retiring to to your clean, fresh comfortable bedroom and a peaceful sleep after an enjoyable day. Wake up refreshed and ready to do it again, what a pleasant holiday.
Thank you to all the staff at the Royal Apollonia hotel for their welcome and superb hospitality which fulfilled my dream to return after staying at this hotel whilst on a work mission in 1990.
I do hope that I will not have to wait another 30 years before my next visit !!
