We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wine Country Inn and wished we could have stayed more than 1 night. Our king room was lovely- the decor is reminiscent of the old luxury hotels which I guess some folks think is "outdated" but the room felt like we were in a country inn, not a big modern hotel. The grounds are beautiful as is the view of the cliffs. We were lucky to get the gazebo table and enjoyed our dinner, taking advantage of the corkage fee to have one of the wines we bought while tasting on the way there! The grab and go breakfast was the best we had in a week of travel. The staff is great and very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel .

We stayed here for 4 nights last weekend for my Step-Son's Wedding. Easy to find, right off I-70. We had a 3rd floor room and it was very clean and quiet, but Rooms are dated, could use some upgrades for the price per night. We used the pool & hot tub, both very inviting. Loved the white rockers they had outside as well as the fire pit area. Good complimentary breakfast, so so complimentary wine from 5-6 pm. I did not like any of their whites; I wished they had a peach flavored one! Staff were all very nice and accommodating. We even got checked in early, both of our rooms were ready for us by 1:30 PM, that was a huge bonus.

This was our third stay over the years at the Wine Country Inn. Even though the decor is somewhat dated, it still works with the wine theme. The rooms are neat and clean, and we feel very safe there. We had a patio room with a nice view of the pool. The staff is so honest that when my husband left a tip for the maid on the bed, it was still there when we got back. He asked her the next day why she didn't take it, and she stated that she didn't want to assume it was a tip unless it was in the provided for envelope. The staff are good, solid people.
Now, to the complimentary breakfast. Diners all around us kept complaining about the quality of the food. A gentlemen at the next table spit it out, and said they would have to go out for breakfast. The presentation is nice: real porcelain plates, real cutlery instead of plastic, nice chafing dishes....but the food they contain was rather awful. The eggs were like powdered eggs cooked like salty cement, the bacon was cheap and nasty, and the pastries were soggy.
I think guests would gladly pay $10 or $20 more a night to get a farm to table type breakfast given that the area prides itself on local fare. You can't expect people who dine at Peche in the evening to eat that kind of food in the morning. Also, why not eat people at the breakfast in the restaurant instead of the bar and hallway? Just a suggestion.

I was very surprised to find several good vegan options here! The Veggie Raguot was phenomenal (heavy on the garlic but I love that!). It came with two yummy vegan sides plus a salad with their delicious homemade vegan peach balsamic. Everything tasted extremely fresh. The staff was so kind and very accommodating to vegans. We spoke to the chef and she told us about all the vegan options and said she could customize/veganize most of the menu items. The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by red rocks. You can either eat inside the restaurant or outside (awesome views!!). The only downside is I didn't find any good vegan options for their free breakfast. If you are vegan and staying overnight at the hotel, perhaps bring your own brekkie or discuss it with the staff!

My husband and I ended up here happenstance last minute as they were the only place that had availability when we looked. We arrived not knowing the wine festival was going on that weekend but embraced the overpriced room and joined in on the wine festivities that evening. We took part in the complimentary wine happy hour and their breakfast buffet. The room was standard, but we did have a great view of the wine fields. It's an older hotel that could probably use some upgrades but for us, we needed a place to stay and it did just that. We did actually go to the bar later in the evening and had great service. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options of hot and cold items and was delicious. Overall, a good stay but basic.

We have passed this hotel many times while traveling from Loveland to visit family in California's wine country of Sonoma. I was so excited to finally get to stay here for our 30th anniversary! We booked the Vintner's Guest House room 1200 which opened up to a wonderful living space that included a full kitchen. The location is stunning and convinient for wine tasting. Morning walks down the rows of vineyards next to the aqueduct were peaceful. The complimentary wine service in the Tapestry Lounge was a fun way to sample local wines and meet new people. We read of 'outdated bedding' but our room had new white comforters. Great staff and beautiful Inn.

The facility is great but they are the least accommodating people around. We had a wedding to attend at 4 and asked 2 days in advance to be able to get in our room by 3 for showers etc. they were firm on 4 check in and were outright rude when we pressed for help.

Beware if you need something different than their strict rules allow. I suggest you find another place to stay.

The hotel was comfy cheerful wine inn. The location is perfect to several tasting room and vineyards. The hotel decor is outdated but the inn was very clean. All the hotel staff wore masks and some had gloves. They had wine reception with free wine every late afternoon from a local vineyard. The pool was great, with social distancing and there was pool bar service. We stay at the vintners guest house of the inn, lovely. The food at the Tapestry was superb. I would recommend the crab meat, avocado, bacon and mango salad. The inn is just cozy. No high end amenities but perfect for the western slopes. You can drives to many vineyards in 15 minutes and golf is close by. We plan on coming again.

As we travel west from the Denver area, we always time our travel to coincide with an overnight stay at the Wine Country Inn. Their accommodations are excellent with a most friendly staff in a pleasant environment surrounded by vineyards. Their two restaurants are both excellent. We need an accessible room, and their rooms of this type are very well designed for both comfort and safety.

This was a gamble because of the location so close to I-70, but it proved a great experience. The price was a bargain and we got a full breakfast and a 5 pm wine tasting as guests. It was quiet in our room and even around the pool. We ate at Caroline’s, the attached restaurant and had a delicious meal with a couple we met at the 5pm wine tasting. Our room was clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful. This was a really great find and we will definitely stay there again.
