Just spent the one night here on our ride trip through Colorado and on way to Moab, Utah. The hotel was exceptionally clean and very updated and modern. Of course we took our own sanitizing supplies and couldn’t even pick up a trace of dirt, dust, or grime on the wipes. I was very pleased and loved the bright, modern bathroom with large shower. The water pressure was a little less desirable. Only minus about the room was the microwave lights reflected in the full length mirror right in my eyes, while in bed, and we had a connecting room with thin walls and the neighbors were very loud very late. But it’s not the hotel’s fault they were loud and inconsiderate. I didn’t give 5 stars because there was no included breakfast due to Corona. I found this a little ridiculous, as restaurants are open and they could have served us something with distancing. Hotels in Texas and Utah served us breakfast to either take back to the room or eat at distanced tables or on patio. Even a sack with breakfast sandwich and a bottle of juice or water. But not the horrible granola bar, bagel, or yogurt that only one Colorado hotel offered. It was odd that 1 hotel in Colorado offered something and 3 others didn’t. The front desk personnel were very friendly and fulfilled my request of a room facing away from the highway. I would definitely stay here again on the next trip through Grand Junction and will try to book further ahead.

Stayed for a week while doing some work in the area, and I must say that it is an excellent place to stay. Staff are very friendly, housekeeping staff are practically perfect in their efforts to keep the rooms comfortable, and the breakfast was wonderful with a wide variety of options to choose from. Well worth keeping in mind if you happen to be going to Grand Junction.

I rely on Trip Advisor when finding a place to stay, so I am always looking at reviews. We only stayed one night, but I would definitely recommend this hotel. The king bed in our room was very comfortable, the room and bathroom were a nice size, the bathroom had a spacious shower instead of a tub, with shower doors instead of the typical curtain that sticks to you. The fitness center was nice with treadmills, ellipticals, plus free weights. It was very clean and well taken care of. The breakfast was excellent (eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, make-your-own waffles, and much more). The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again!

This is a nice hotel to stay at in Grand Junction. We booked it specifically for our grandsons to use the pool. After checking in, and going down to the pool in our swimsuits we noticed the pool was closed for maintenance. We went to the front desk and we're just given apologies. Later, we needed to do laundry and the same person at the front desk said they could not give us change. They told us to go to the bank down the road but also told us the bank would probably be closed which was no help at all. Later that same person told my husband he could get change for us. The breakfast was very minimal and we had to go out to get a substantial breakfast. Upon checking out, we voiced our concerns about the pool and laundry situation with the manager who is not only listened, but give us a partial refund. Note to traveler's: if there is a certain feature you're looking at in a hotel, it would be wise to call to see if they have it before you book it.

Wall paper thin you can hear everything in the rooms next door

Breakfast mediocre and very unevironmentally friendly polystyrene plates and plastic cutlery no option to recycle anything. Buffet style which in covid times needs sanitiser in the breakfast room with everyone handling utensils there was none to be seen.

Noisy guests and children running up and down the corridors and parents who can't control them.

Previous guests tooth floss found in the shower

Laundry service nothing short of appalling 1 washing machine and 1 dryer to service all the guests in the hotel was a constant battle to get to use the machines. This was very stressful beyond belief when as a business traveller you use the weekend to sort your laundry for the following week.

If I could rate the place a zero I would

Response from John Gregory, General Manager at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Grand Junction

I believe you have the wrong hotel, we use paper products for breakfast. As for noisy children and how to avoid them, I would recommend perhaps an Air BnB for future travels, being that we are a hotel, sometimes other guests do join us.

My wife and I used our Wyndham Rewards points to book a free night stay and enjoyed the overnight stay on our way home from an extended winter trip. Our check in was easy and the same for the check out (except the printer ran out of paper). Our only issue was with breakfast. The scrambled eggs were from a mix and were cold. Too bad this trip ended with the proverbial bad taste in my mouth.

I stopped off in Grand Junction CO, on my way to Denver. I was able to get a single KING bed room for around $85 + tax (curing Covid-19 times). This was without a reservation (the reason for not 2 stars). The room was on the fifth floor and I was told it "is a quiet area" and no one was staying near my room. This was NOT the case and the amount of noise that traveled through the walls or door was unacceptable. It was very loud and the people could be heard standing outside and talking in nearby rooms. The room was very clean and looked nice. Time to sleep, OH NO. The bed is the main reason for the low score. The bed was HORRIBLE, felt like sleeping on a futon. Very lumpy and not soft or comfortable. If you enjoy a futon, then maybe you would enjoy this bed, I did not and reason for 1 1/2 stars being taken off.
I would not recommend, unless no where else to stay.

Other hotels should take note. Many people like myself like to have our critters with us these days when we travel. A hotel that charges a huge surcharge is NOT "Pet Friendly". I saw that
"pet designated" rooms can easily be designed for easy maintenance and still be comfortable and attractive!

I wish it was possible to give 4.5 ratings, not quite a 5, but I want to be generous! We were very impressed with La Quinta Inn & Suites in Grand Junction, Colorado. Many hotels have cut down on staff and amenities during these trying times in the hospitality industry. Everything was impeccably clean, including hallways, stairs, ice & vending and common areas. I have found this lacking in other chain hotels. Our King Suite was spacious, with a separate living room area, two TV's and closets and a large bathroom with plenty of nice towels. It was very comfortable and attractive.

There is an onsite, outdoor pool and hot tub, large exercise room and a business area. The only negative was that most hotels are now offering some sort of breakfast, whether a brown bag, packaged pastries, fruit or limited hot items. La Quinta only had Hot Coffee & Tea, neither of which we drink! La Quinta in Grand Junction will be our go-to hotel when traveling I-70.

I stayed here while going through a 4 week course. The room was always nicely prepared and serviced each week I checked in. I found everything great except that I asked for a the most quiet area of the hotel and then they proceeded to place guests in the room next to me. The guests were loud rude and disrespectful of other sleeping guests until very early early hours. I called and informed the front desk and asked them to quiet these guests down and staff responded very quickly. This was greatly appreciated. I do recommend this hotel, but maybe bring earplugs due to thin walls and the breakfast wasn't really anything special at all so you may want to handle breakfast yourself.

We stayed there on July 15 and we've stayed there two other times. It's always nice and clean. They were still doing some landscaping but the hotel was great, as it always is.
