Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Issues:
* Hairs on the bathroom floor
* Obvious stains on the carpet on one corner in the living area

Positives:
* Check in by Jaime, she practiced active listening. Allowed me to see the room before checking me in. It was one of better check-in experiences in a very long time.
* They ask guests to play Wheel of Fortune to earn Marriott Bonvoy bonus points.
* Quiet
* Convenient location - away from the highway

Additional information:
* They charged $7 or $9 for parking when it's listed as parking is complimentary and it has a huge parking lot right in front of it.
* Be sure to check they charge you correctly. As of this writing, which is almost a week after my stay, still haven't found this hotel's room charge showed up on my credit card statement. I called back and confirmed that it will show up in 5-7 business days.

This place is one of better hotel experiences in a very long time with least # of issues. Had they made the bathroom clean and fix the carpet stains, they would have earned a 5 out of 5 rating.

We enjoyed our King sized room. But, having to pay an additional $7.00 an evening for parking make this "great value" priced room - just ok. No breakfast (most places in Grand Junction of this price range do provide breakfast) But the desk Clerk when we checked in was super friendly. The morning clerk not so much.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize if the parking fee was an inconvenience during your stay. We are among several hotels in this are that charge and we have done so since 2019 and we are the cheapest amongst the Marriott and Hilton hotels in this area. We are so glad to hear that you thought the staff was friendly at check-in!

We stayed at a new, stylish Courtyard the night before. This one was older and had few outlets by the bed. Older bathroom with a noisy toilet. Nice person at the desk saved my phone. WIFi did not connect, but we really did not need it. Card reader only-no mobile pass. Parking fee was annoying!

No matter what you do, do not stay here! We booked a king room plus sofa bed. They gave us a handicap accessible room with no sofa bed. I am not sure how they can put you into a lesser room then what you paid for. When we mentioned this to the manager on duty, Shawn he was extremely rude and offered us a roll away bed. This was besides the point as we wanted a sofa in our room. Plus a roll away bed would have been an extremely tight fit in the room they gave us. There should have been some compensation for putting us into a room that we did not want nor pay for. When we asked why we were put into a handicap room, we were told it was because the hotel was full. Just because the hotel was overbooked does not mean that we should have been treated so poorly. There are other issues with the hotel as well, the paint is peeling over the pool (don't expect to go swimming here, the pool is extremely TINY and wont fit more then 3 people comfortably.), the hair conditioner in the room was watered down so bad and did not reflect conditioner at all. The garbage cans were overfilled and were not emptied. And when you sat on the edge of the bed, the bed flipped up, which is kind of scary in a handicap room where people tend to sit down more. Also, there is a 6 dollar a night fee to park in a normal everyday parking lot. Seems like a scam to me. The hotel itself was outdated and along with the extreme lack of customer service provided by someone that calls themselves a manager, I would never step foot into this hotel again. This is not what I would expect out of a Marriot.

There’s nothing wrong with an old hotel, but things need to be updated during the years to keep up the value. The tv was old, old decor, and the mattress had seen better days as it was lumpy and uncomfortable.

The walls are thin as we could hear the people in the next room talking and doors opening and slamming.

We stopped here early in the morning after traveling through the night. So the hotel served its purpose. However, it wouldn’t be an option for us for stays that are longer than a night.

The hotel is close to the airport, which was exactly what I was looking for. Rooms are well appointed, but service was minimal; check in process was transactional at best - "here's your key, put this in your car, good night...". There was no mention of parking fee, check out time, internet, amenities and so on. There is a shuttle to the airport and at least shuttle service was decent.

Worst hotel experience in a long time. Extended my stay by a night after my first night, and asked the front desk to take me off housekeeping list so they wouldn’t disturb me. Front desk assured me they wouldn’t. Housekeeping tried to barge in while I was taking a shower, despite the do not disturb sign I had on the door. Another housekeeper tried to come in 20 minutes later. That evening I ordered a meal to pick up from the Bistro, I was told I would be called when it was ready. 1 hour later I spoke to Chris at the front desk to find out she forgot to put in my order. To top it off they charge $6.00;to park in a common lot shared with another property. Horrible service at a hotel charging $169 a night. Avoid!

Dirty and the bed was old, not a typical Marriott mattress one side so weighted down resulting in very poor sleep. Never saw housekeeping except downstairs partying. Front desk screwed up tax exemption. WORST A SMOKER polluting the room from next door, tried to call the front desk to complain and no answer. Very poor ventilation in this building the smoke coming I the AC vent in the bathroom had to close door and open window. Somebody spit a big hack on the floor in the elevator, it stayed there the entire stay. Manager clearly not walking the property, pool also had a nice scum across it and was out of service.

We had hoped that this would be similar to a Springhill Suites, as we’ve enjoyed those. This fell far short. Although our room was on the top floor, and we congratulated ourselves that there would be nobody above us, the incredibly loud door slamming from the other rooms on our floor continued all the time we tried to sleep. The room right next to us was occupied and we could hear every movement and footstep. Insulation obviously was overlooked during construction. We will avoid Courtyards in the future.

Stopped for a night after a busy weekend . The rooms and beds are decent. Front desk service was okay. The $6 per night parking charge seems little excessive as the lot is not in any way secured and is shared with another Marriott property.
But I would not be against staying here again if I needed a decent place to lay my head for the night.

We have a full sized sofa bed in most of our guest rooms that have a king sized bed and we have a few rooms with two queen beds and a full sized sofa bed. Not sure why it says "unspecified".
