Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had to stay in a motel October 27th as our power was out. We were fortunate to get the last room. We loved the motel - it was very clean and up to date - and reasonable. We will definitely suggest this motel if we have guests coming to town.

The exterior put us off but we were generally happy with the interior. It was clean and cared for. We were happy that it had a new laminate floor instead of carpet. It could have used another light near the door. The management was friendly and helpful. The bathroom was very clean. It could have used more counter space and towel ranks. The price was right and we were happy with this experience.

I stayed here as I made my way back home (had to reroute my trip from my usual way). I was very surprised at the service and quality of the place. They are a pet friendly business which is a big plus. The owners are very friendly. The room was cozy and very homey, done in shades of purple, literally like a guest bedroom and the bathroom seemed recently updated. Very clean room and grounds. The location is great- walking distance to stores like Kmart, as well as a short 7 minute drive to downtown area. Breakfast provided was simple but adequate. I will definitely stay here again if I pass through the area and would definitely recommend Columbine Motel to others.

So we weren't looking for frills--just a basic comfortable bed in a clean and quiet room where we could land for the night en route from Las Vegas to Denver. We decided instead of staying in our normal choice of a "mid-range" chain hotel, we would try a locally owned motel based on the very good online reviews. It ended up being more than expected. The king-size bed was as comfortable as any resort we've visited, the linens were soft and smelled fresh/clean, and the furnishings were nicer than many mid-range hotels. The heat/AC wall unit was sufficient to warm the room with outdoor zero temps. We would certainly stay here again, and recommend it to others.

The rooms were super comfy and clean. The heater in the room kept the room nice and warm and we also got to enjoy some free Cable TV and wifi.
There is free breakfast in the morning with a variety of cereals, teas, confectionary, coffee, milk, fruits, yogurt and eggs!

Took a road trip thru colorado and was fortunate to get such a bargain on a quality stay. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the manager was friendly. I was impressed with the continental breakfast as well. Would definitely stay again.

This adorable hotel is on the old main road through town, but it's nice a quiet. The extremely clean hotel room includes a fridge, microwave, flat screen, and fast wifi. The updated decor and use of attractive, bright colored sheets and bedding makes the room feel brand new. The powerful shower and table with chairs adds to the attraction. The owners were very friendly too. We LOVE being able to drive right up to our door. At $60 including tax, we'll be back again and again!

Clean, spacious, very nicely decorated room, reasonably priced. Building was situated on the main road, easy in and out. Staff was pleasant and courteous. No amenities. Great place if you are only looking for an inexpensive room for the night.

I stayed at the Columbine Motel on a recent trip to Grand Junction, Colorado. The Columbine is a smaller, one level motel on north Avenue, with none of the 'big chain' amenities such as a pool, restaurant, etc. But it turned out to be a great choice. The room was clean & comfortable, the grounds neat and well tended. The staff was friendly and helpful and the price was very affordable. I would recommend this motel to anyone.

If you are looking for luxury accommodations, please look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a safe, clean, inexpensive place to stay for a short period of time, this place is for you. Continental breakfast consists of juice, milk, coffee, cereal, donuts, cereal bars, and fruit. Be sure to bring any toiletries you may need as the only the thing provided is a miniature soap bar. We had a nice fridge and coffee maker, however no microwave. A nice flat screen tv with several cable channels was provided. The towels in the bathroom are thin and worn, however they were very clean. The beds were reasonably comfortable, however you should bring your own pillow as theirs are flat. The managers live on property and are very attentive to your needs. If you are easy to please, I highly recommend. However if you are accustomed to 5 star accommodations, you will be highly disappointed.

You'll need to contact the hotel directly, but probably not. Their rates are already pretty reasonable for the area.

This is not a B&B-no restaurant at motel. It's located at the corner of 281/4 Rd. & North Ave.(main drag thru GJ). There are several chain & local restaurants within 1-2 miles. Texas Roadhouse,Rib City etc are just down the street(North Ave.)

"It's a classic motel design: L-shaped, with parking directly in front of the room. East-facing rooms get direct sun in the AM."
