Very clean hotel and room. My kids said the pool was warm and had a blast. The rooms have multiple pillows on each bed labeled soft and firm for utmost comfort. The breakfast buffet was good, not amazing but standard hotel fare. Good amenities in the room. Only issue was that our air didn’t get as cold as we wanted for sleeping, but we managed. Recommend this hotel if you stop in Grand Junction

We have stayed in Holiday Inn Expresses for most of our two week road trip. Here, the front desk staff wore a mask (like all we have been to) but unlike others the guests generally (over 50% that I saw) chose not to wear masks in the public areas. I did not see the staff remind people of the state rule to wear facial coverings.. The cleaning staff this morning had masks on their chins. I understand hospitality folks rely on the happiness of their patrons for return business but it goes both ways. I am disapointed because typically Holiday Inn Express Staff are a cut above.

Very unhappy with this hotel.
Almost all of her hand sanitizers were empty I told them multiple times they said oh sorry we have to order them. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. The TV does not allow you to go above volume 20 I was in a hearing impaired room due to my son having hearing issues I could not hear the TV when I asked them if they could fix it they stated that’s their default on all of their TVs so it Hass to stay the same even in a hearing impaired room. The first two days and stayed across the street at the Doubletree I would definitely recommend stay there over here.

Response from , Owner at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grand Junction, an IHG hotel
Responded 23 Jan 2021
Thank you for giving feedback about your stay in Grand Junction. While we encourage all guests to tell us the good and the bad so it can be addressed, I must ask if you can take a moment and double check the hotel that you wrote your review for. You comment about staying across the street at the Doubletree causes concern for me as we are the furthest hotel away from the Double tree in Grand Junction. There is a Holiday Inn (we are Holiday Inn Express) very close to that area. Please take a moment to review and kindly remove this negative post from our page. If you do believe you have the correct hotel, I encourage you to reach out to me when you have a moment so we can make this right. My email is rblake@tkohotels.com or phone 970-245-8164. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay at this Holiday Inn Express over a three day weekend in early October. As a family of five we loved the two room suite they have available. Pool and hot tub area were well maintained and clean. Great breakfast. The staff here is all very friendly and helpful. We were in town mostly for mountain biking the trails nearby, which were easily accessible from this location. Colorado National Monument is also a great destination. Overall an excellent experience and a fun weekend. We'll be back!

While traveling across the United States on the way to Rocky Mountain NP, my friend and I were exceptionally pleased with this hotel. The room was extremely comfortable, spacious, and the Air Conditioning was ice cold. The sleep quality was also wonderful. Another great perk of this hotel is that is right off of I-70 for easy access east and west. The staff was friendly and they also took extra care in cleaning with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. I would definitely stay at this location again.

The manager was quite rude and hostile upon hearing me request an early check-in to lay out items for my daughter's birthday sleepover. I booked a stay in a suite for one night that was almost $400. My reservation stated that 2 adults and 4 children would be occupying the suite for one night. I was there around 2:10PM and check-in was at 3. I greeted the lady at the front desk who took my name, looked up my reservation, and informed me that I could not check-in early. I was not upset that I couldn't check-in yet, some hotels allow it, and some don't. I went out to wait in my car and a few moments later the manager (he gave no name) knocked on my car window and scared me, then threatened me with charges if my child or her friends cause damage. I stated that it was just a couple 12-year-olds having a sleepover and this threat was unwarranted. We did not intend to throw a big party, but I feel he discriminated against me based on my appearance as I have tattoos and piercings. After some back and forth he simmered down and left my car side and returned into the building. This was jarring and had me quite rattled. If I wasn't on a tight schedule I would have cancelled and stayed somewhere else. It is really unprofessional to accuse someone of intending to cause damage especially on such an expensive reservation. The fact that he came to my car was also a very weird experience. He could have talked to me while I was at the front desk or waited for me to come back and check-in to politely address any concerns, but he instead chose to follow me to my car and speak to me in a hostile manner. Everything else about the stay was fantastic but this definitely did major damage to my experience.

I've stayed at this hotel since it first opened. It has recently undergone a much needed remodel. The lobby and dining area are updated, bright, and comfortable. The rooms are also updated, very clean, with comfortable beds. The AC works great, which is important in the summer when it can be so hot in GJ. The breakfast included the usual Holiday Inn Express items - a good variety and well tended by staff. I love that they have oatmeal now. In addition, the staff was very professional and helpful. There is plenty of shopping and dining nearby.

+1
This property is going to have a complete redo in the Fall from what I was told. Think it has been ten years. The reason I gave it a 4 is because of the room we were given. It was very spacious with one bedroom with a door and one bed in the living area, both king beds. There were three televisions. Room was clean, bedding good, beds comfortable. For some reason the room had a strong unpleasant odor when we first arrived. We probably got used to the smell. The bathroom door needs repair and that will happen later this year. It was very quiet. There is one of these rooms on each floor. Carpet in the first floor hallway is really soiled. We appreciated the USA Today being available again except Thursday it did not come. Be sure to try the nearby Mi Mexican restaurant. We thought it was outstanding and you can walk to it, dine in or get take out or have delivered. Breakfast had enough options. Front desk workers were very helpful. Internet worked fine.

We have stayed here a several times in the last few years and usually stay 3-4 nights at a time. We are there twice a year on business. For us it is a great location. This time however was not as good as in the past. I was excited to get the suite now that they are finished. It was a disappointment. Shower water pressure was not good and water was not hot at any time. There were hairs all over in it and the worst part were the pee stains around the toilet! Keep in mind this is a fairly new remodeled room. You could see that under the vanity was not mopped either. They’ve gone to pump bottles of soap, lotion and shampoos. I suggest you have house keeping fill them regularly as we ran out by the sink. Also the placement of the tissue box right below the soap and lotion dispenser is not a good idea. I suggest they use a clean rag to clean the mirrors also. It was obvious they didn’t. The A/C unit in the living room was not connected to the wall thermostat making it hard to regulate the temperature. The worst part of the stay was being without water for almost 5 hours one day and never given a notice that such an event was going to happen! Please! Either they need a new head housekeeper or something, because they are certainly not cleaning! Time to find a new place when were there on business.

Dear techies, Thank you for selecting our Holiday Inn Express Grand Junction while visiting Grand Junction and for taking the time to provide feedback about your experience. It's a pleasure having you as our guest. I am truly sorry that you did not experience an exemplary stay due to our air conditioning, the cleanliness in our room and the water pressure. This is certainly below our usual high standard of service. Please be certain that I have noted and forwarded your feedback for the management to improve. In the midst of your experience, I am glad to know that the location of our hotel was still appreciated. I very much hope that you will grant us the opportunity to prove ourselves again. Best Regards, Ben W. Case Manager IHG Hotels and Resorts Service

Absolutely, we travel with a horse trailer and keep it on the truck parking it at all locations that we overnight in.
I am happy to tell you that the entire property is pet free and smoke free. Please feel free to contact the hotel the day prior or day of, and we will make special arrangements with you to allow you to visit the room prior to check in, to make sure it will be exactly what you need.
I am sorry, but the hotel is not pet friendly.
