Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

SpringHill Suites never disappoint. The room design is top notch with the separate sitting area, toilet and sink separate from shower area. The location is great in this very nice town with good restaurants in walking distance, lots of nice shops and interesting art and sculpture along the Main Street. COVID restrictions and requirements are being handled efficiently and your safety is definitely top priority for them. Because rooms are not being cleaned daily unless requested you need to ask for extra towels, soap, etc and it is delivered promptly. Sam on the front desk in the evenings is an A+ representative for Marriott and SpringHill Suited in Grand Junction.

The hotel is strictly observing COVID guidelines. Felt safe the entire visit from the extra space they marked off at the front desk, to the masks worn by staff & guests, to the signs indicating that only one party use the elevator at a time. They're even removing the TV remotes from the rooms upon checkout, cleaning them, and then giving you one when you check-in. Daily maid service (for multiple day visits) is suspended but you can get anything you need upon request. The bar in the lobby was open (unusual these days) but seating is well spaced and people were observing guidelines. (Nice patio outside as well.) I'll definitely make this my "regular" stop when going through GJ.

The location of this restaurant is great. Within steps of all the shops on historic Main Street. Good parking. Hotel is in very nice condition. We would have rated this "excellent"; however, early on Saturday morning in late December, two staff members started using very loud leaf blowers to blow a skiff of snow off of the sidewalk. They spent an hour doing it with little success. Leaf blowers are very loud but they are not effective at blowing snow. Doing so just made the sidewalks slippery. This leaf blower noise went on for an hour. Needless to say, we didn't get back to sleep. We recommend that the SpringHill Suites uses shovels to clear such a small amount (less than 1") of snow.

Upon our arrival, we noticed the bathroom door didn’t close all the way. We told the attendant at the front desk. He said all of the rooms were like that and there was nothing we could do. So, after using hangers and a bedspread to close the gap we noticed the room had an awful smell each time we entered the room. The air conditioner in our room had broken. We were switched to a new room ( no Bathroom gap btw) and the mattress in the new room caved in the middle. I’m sitting up at 2 in the morning writing this review because my back hurts and I can’t sleep. The washing machine took our quarters and didn’t work, we were told we could use the laundry facility next door at the other Marriott. We had to ask to have our room key fixed 4 times. How can one hotel have so many problems? Bad management? I’m tired of telling them everything that’s wrong. The attendant subtracted $21 form our almost $500 bill because of the hassle. We usually like SpringHill Suites, but this hotel has left a lasting and terrible impression. Don’t stay here.

Hotel is clean, rooms are nice, breakfast buffet was good quality given Covid, staff very friendly. However, we slept awfully in this hotel due to the very loud a/c unit in our room (similar to a hair dryer in terms of noise). Also, the door to the hallway let quite a bit of light in on the side so the room didn’t get completely dark. We didn’t sleep more than 30 min at a time all night due to the air condition unit - and when we tried to turn it off, the room got stuffy quickly. All in all, bad sleep making the hotel a bad value for us. We told the staff and they apologized but no offer of sort of discount on the room price or any other way to make things better, which we would have appreciated given how exhausted we were after our stay.

Our trial team stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks for a jury trial. The hotel is conveniently located to the Mesa County District Courthouse. I will give you my Pros and Cons:
PROS: Very Friendly Staff, EV charging (for a small fee), decent breakfast, meeting room, and bar service. CONS: Bad coffee and Noise! These rooms do not provide adequate sound-proofing. I heard every footstep in the hallway, voices, doors shutting, trains, and cars. Thankfully, I got used to not hearing the 3:00 a.m. trains after the first night, and the hallway activity settled down by 10:00 p.m. typically. Try to get a room that is located away from Rood St. Our trial team ate breakfast every morning at Dream Cafe (huge portions and a good menu) and you can get a great cup of coffee at the Kiln coffee shop. Lots of restaurant choices along Main St. You can also order through Door Dash, which we did every night so that we could dissect our post trial day. We also were able to charge our Tesla via the Chargepoint station located in the parking lot of the hotel. We liked the convenience and a didn't mind the small fee (less than $10) although Grand Junction offers Tesla SuperChargers near the Mesa Mall. Make sure you have a ChargePoint account, if you want to use the hotel EV charger.

I have stayed in all of the Marriott properties in GJ since September and this one has the best COVID precautions.

Hand sanitizer in and outside the elevators. Signs saying only 1 person/party per elevator.

Breakfast is all prepackaged grab and go items. Better quality than other Marriotts in town.

Room is a standard SpringHill room with a separate toilet room and a mini fridge/microwave.

We stayed here in room 305 on 7/23/21. We thought the hotel was very nice. There is parking in the rear ($7 plus tax), an in house bar (4:30 pm to 10 pm), breakfast is provided and they had coffee and tea out on the day we were there.
The room was good sized, half bedroom, half living room and desk area. The toilet is a separate room from the shower area, both were a decent size. There is a fridge (no freezer) and microwave. The TV was a little small for the room but not an issue.
The check in and out and bar staff were helpful and pleasant. There were at least 6 restaurants within walking distance (3 blocks).
There was road construction on the way to the hotel and from the hotel back to I70 which was a pain.
Overall, it was a good stay and we'd stay here again.
Note: Finding the entry and parking is a bit tricky, coming from 3rd St or higher you turn into the driveway (unmarked) after the building and drive through/under the building to get to the parking area. The main entry is under the part of the building you drive through. I'd suggest management put a sign at this turn.

I am a bit disappointed in my stay. My first room had a few issues including the shower door seal was damaged causing the bathroom to flood when taking a shower and I also noticed the shower glass was almost detached from the ceiling. The sink in the shower room was extremely slow to drain. I also found the room to be extremely noisy due to the close proximity to the elevator.

On Tuesday morning I requested a room change and it only got worse. The shower head is damaged/worn causing the water not to flow right, the sliding door handle to the shower room is half broken off and the sink drains even slower. :(

The new room seems to be located below a machine or something that causes noises every few minutes. I’m not sure what it is but I make up it’s an ice maker or something. Luckily I was able to turn the fan on constant on the A/C to drown out the noise a tad. I probably should have requested another room change but I hate to have housekeeping clean another room and it’s a hassle to pack everything up again.

I will say the rooms are a nice size and the AC works really well! The lobby is also super nice.

Thank you Mr. Tarpley for your feedback on your visit. We understand that our execution of routine maintenance was not addressed in your room prior to your arrival. Somethings never change.
From the minute you walk in the front door, you get treated like family. Kudos to management for hiring the best in the business.
Rooms are huge, beds and pillows are extra comfortable, shower is large with great water pressure.
And the location is perfect. Centrally located on Historic old Main Street within easy walking distance to the best dining and shopping in Grand Junction. And it’s Pet Friendly.
We keep coming back and always will.
