Stayed here June 23. It's a fairly new hotel in a mini complex of other modern hotels all owned by the same company (a Hampton & Fairfield).
The hotel offers secure parking and decent sized lobby/bar area. The room itself was decent size, good TV and well equipped. The air conditioning unit was a huge floor mounted contraption which was somewhat noisy.
Location was a few minutes walk from the downtown area.
Don't know why they charged $11 to park the car, seems to be a thing in GJ.
Very welcoming lobby staff :)

My husband I checked in for a great Staycation at Downtown Grand Junction's newest hotel. The moment we walked in, we knew that the higher standards of cleaning were not only being met but exceeded. However, we still felt "at home" and comfortable. I loved the toiletries in the bathroom. The dispensers next to the sink and in the shower were great and convenient. The water pressure was perfect. The rooms, while not huge, are decently sized with a good use of storage. All hotels should install hooks on the walls!

The bedding and mattress - The pillows were so comfy that my husband is now on a mission to find the exact pillows for home! The mattresses were the perfect balance of firmness.

TV - The TV has Netflix pre-installed so that you can continue to binge watch your favorite shows. The Showtime app is also available for use.

The rooms offer the perfect environment to work or relax. It's all up to you.

Anyone staying at the Tru will find the location super convenient to local eating establishments. No car? No problem! You can walk just a couple blocks and be in the heart of downtown Grand Junction. And if you'd prefer to order in and just have a low key evening, hang out and play pool in the lobby or enjoy the patio heaters outside and people watch :)

The Tru will be our first recommendation whenever we have out of town guests.

Loved this new brand within the Hilton portfolio. Rooms are contemporary and modern with lots of space. Nice open lounge area where you could sit by one of the gas fires outside. Breakfast was excellent for a time of COVID with hot sandwiches you could heat in a microwave plus cereal, fruit and pastries. Staff very friendly. They do charge $7 for parking which is odd but it is fairly safe. Would definitely stay here again.

I was recently in Grand Junction for a conference and stayed at Tru by Hilton for the week. Beautiful place! It's relatively new (opened in July 2019,, I think), is spotlessly clean and very upscale in its colors and layout. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, and the lobby is bright and cheery with a pool table, games, and a better than average hotel breakfast. Tru is also about 1 block off the main downtown area (Main Street) which makes it a little quieter during nights when students from the University come to town. Great location. On the other hand, the rooms are very small (apparently to encourage visitors to gather and socialize in the lobby), but very nice with large flatscreen televisions that seemed a bit oversized for the room, and noises from adjacent rooms were noticeable, but not at a level I would consider obnoxious. The walls aren't paper thin, but you could faintly hear televisions and coughing in the next room. Overall, an excellent place. I gave it a Very Good rating for the room size and the noise from adjacent rooms. But it balances the gap between Very Good and Excellent.

Excellent location, efficient and extremely clean accommodation, and friendly front desk staff. The only thing I would ask next time would be to make sure that all the containers for shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and lotion were full. And it would be nice to have extra towels…

This was a lovely newer property with wonderful staff and above average free breakfast. However, the walls/ceiling were super thin, and even with earplugs, the noise transfer was really bad. The hotel was barely occupied, so it was curious to me why they would place guests in rooms next to each other, rather than spacing people apart to avoid this issue. Although we were told the next morning that we could have requested to have our room switched - that's not super practical in the middle of the night. If you stay, def. request to not be placed next to / under occupied rooms.

Haven’t been to a Hilton for a while as I prefer Hyatt’s , unfortunately they didn’t have one in GJ . I chose Hilton as I thought I would be guaranteed a good nights sleep and booked for two nights,
The price was very high plus there was an 11 dollar per night charge to park your car. I made a mistake booking here as there were many hotels of high calibre within walking distance too. Hotel seemed brand new but room was very small similar European standards and breakfast missing small touches like pancakes but no whipped cream .
But my main gripe was the noise , they checked in a group of teenagers next door that kept us up until 5AM , I called front desk twice and on their second visit we had silence. By then it was 5AM.
I asked by email for them to credit the first nights stay but I was only offered refund of points that I had used to purchase two nights with. They kept all the cash
If you are booking into Hilton and paying huge rates you should at the very least get a good nights sleep. We didn’t

We stayed here last night.
The location is perfect. It’s right dowtown, so you can walk one block to main street and enjoy all of the sculptures. Plus you’re also an easy 5 minute walk to lots of nice restaurants and breweries.

The rooms are very modern and minimalistic.
Our only comments on the room were that there was only 1 office style chair (no spot for a second person to sit other than the toilet or bed), we couldn’t figure out how to turn on a number of lights (look for micro rocker switchs), and there weren’t any dresser height cabinets to place your belongings on top of.

They may have taken the modern/minimalistic approach to far.

The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was really nice and the window covering were creative.
Breakfast was good. Eggs, sausage, pancakes, etc.

We chose this property due to it's location downtown. It's very clean and comfortable with small rooms. It's apparently aimed at millennials. It is a newer property that's within walking distance of a lot of downtown restaurants. The beds are great but the rooms are very tight with little room to move around. We a a couple of maintenance issues which were promptly taken care of by staff. The TV volume would not go lower than 20 and the deadbolt would not engage. The breakfast is all prepackaged junk food basically but adequate. Lots of sugary cereals, microwave burritos, uncrustables and canned juices. We would definitely stay at Tru again.

Enjoyed our stay for just one night. Would have enjoyed staying longer. Rooms were bare minimum as far as having coffee and storage space in the room for 4 people but it worked for a night. Breakfast was good. Paid parking seemed extreme even though it was a fair price. Would come back if ever in the area again.
