Nestled in the heart of Glenwood Springs, La Quinta Inn & Suites By Wyndham is celebrated for its prime location, with guests frequently applauding its accessibility to attractions and local dining. While opinions on its value vary, the hotel is often characterized by a clean and comfortable atmosphere, though some areas might benefit from a touch-up. The staff's friendliness stands out, despite occasional hiccups with room keys and breakfast service.
Complimentary breakfast and pet-friendly options are popular, even as the pool size receives some criticism. Overall, the rooms are commended for their cleanliness and comfort, but noise and key card issues have been noted by some visitors.

Detailed Reviews
My wife and I returned yesterday from our 4th or 5th stay at the Glenwood Springs La Quinta Inn in the last couple of years. Sadly, we will not be returning. I will tell you why.
We were meeting friends driving from Grand Junction for a 3 day 2 night visit to Glenwood Springs. When we arrived check in went well and the desk clerk was able to give us adjoining rooms. The rooms were fine except the phone in 334 was blinking for a message. I could not clear it and called the front desk, the clerk said it was probably from a previous guest and gave me a number to dial that would allow me to clear it. When I started that process I discovered 3 days of messages. One would think that a routine part of preparing a room for a new guest would be to clear such things. Oh well.
Our friends had never stayed at your hotel but had read about and we had described the expansive and delicious breakfast. When we went to breakfast at about 8:30 AM Wednesday morning it was abysmal. Far from the breakfasts we had experienced before and that our friends had read about in reviews; that day's breakfast consisted of runny scrambled eggs, grey extremely unappealing sausage, the usual blah hotel waffles, one large serving bowl of sliced peaches and the usual motel cold cereal, mini muffins and bagels. I did not eat the eggs or sausage but went with a waffle, Juice and coffee. I discovered the was no butter or margarine for the waffle. When I went for coffee, one regular coffee container was completely empty and the 2nd almost empty. I was able to get a single cup. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Our friends described the experience as a kind of bait and switch because we visited in a shoulder season. My wife and I were embarassed.
Next, we had an enjoyable day out showing our friends Aspen, Marble and other sights. When we arrived back at the hotel tired after a long day neither room key worked and my friend had to walk from room 335 to the front desk to get keys fixed. Apparently the clerk had not set our keys for 2 nights.
After we were able to get into our room we turned on the TV only to be greeted by a message that there was no signal and that we should check the antenna or connections. I called the front desk to ask about the issue and the clerk told me to change the input and that that was that it was "usually" the problem. "Usually" seemed to mean this was a recurring problem, Sad. My wife was finally able to get the tv to work but only to change channels. More disappointment.
So, we will come back to enjoy Glenwood but will find another pace to stay.

Mr. Daniel, we feel as though we must have dropped the ball during your last visit with us. We certainly appreciate your loyalty to the Wyndham brand and your choice to stay at our hotel time and time again. It saddens us that your experience was subpar, and we understand your desire to venture off and enjoy new properties in the Glenwood Springs area. Please note that our hotel staff will always be here to welcome you and your wife back in case you happen to be passing by on the I-70. We extend our sincerest apologies and wish you the happiest of summers. Take care.

Great location, fair price when compared to other accommodations in the area. We choose this location based on price and the fact that a hot breakfast was included. The breakfast was pretty bad, watery eggs and soggy greasy sausage and I'm not a picky eater but could only do that one day.

Part of my decision to choose this hotel was the advertised hot tub and indoor pool. The jets in the hot tub did not work and we barely got a chance during our stay to use it at all because it is WAY too small for the size of the hotel. If you come here, don't expect to be able to use the pool or especially the hot tub. Breakfast also left a lot to be desired. The first morning there was gravy but no biscuits. When another guest ask the only employee around if there would be biscuits, she did not speak any English. The second morning not even gravy and less options. But there were tons of tortilla chips and green chili....for breakfast. We stayed here last year as well and it has declined a lot since then. We will not choose this hotel next year. For $143 per night for a rewards member, we will stay elsewhere next time.

Don't overlook this gem. Great price, excellent location, great breakfast included, location is spot on with free city bus rides around the town and connects to RTF for $5 if you want to go on a quick trip to Snowmass, Aspen, Buttermilk, etc...rooms so clean you can sleep on the floor. Staff very friendly and helpful, so many food options right next door

We ended up staying in Glenwood springs as X Game Aspen finished late. We Didnt bring our travel pouch and the staff were very kind and gave me toothbrushes and soaps etc. I also could find a car parking slot and one staff was kind and she moved her car as she was going to leave at night. The room was clean and comfortable. Thank you so much!

Angel (one of the managers) was very helpful with getting our room ready when we arrived early from the train and provided us with what we needed (roll away bed and extra bedding). She also gave us tips about where to eat--The Grinder was excellent. We needed to get a swimming suit for my nephew and Angel told us where to go. The location is great too.

We stayed here for one night, and it was perfect. Everything was very clean, bed and pillows were comfortable, and our room was adequately updated with a nice bathroom. We had our 2 dogs with us, and they were easily accommodated in the spacious room. One thing to note - they put us on the ground floor, presumably by a lot of other dogs, which was great for going out. However, the room doors are thin and let a lot of sound from the hallway in, so we did hear dogs barking throughout they day on and off. Nothing annoying, but we did hear it. Of course, our had the occasional bark too. If you hate dogs and are a very light sleeper who goes to bed at 7pm, maybe look elsewhere though. Also, excellent breakfast (southwestern potatoes with green chili and French toast, anyone?) And great central location!! We would 100% stay here again.

After a long day made worst by the closure of I-70 due to mudslides, it was nice to check in here. The hotel is located between two restaurants and we were able to get a take-out dinner late at night. The bike shop where my husband had a bike excursion reservation was just two doors down. The town's huge swimming pools are just a few blocks away and there is a lovely park with a playground, tennis courts, bike path and river access a few blocks in the other direction.
The desk personnel were consistently pleasant and helpful during our two day stay. This was the first hotel in 30 days where the cleaning staff knocked on the door to offer fresh towels or ask if there was anything else we wanted them to do.
Breakfast was disappointing. The OJ was warm, the breakfast potatoes were cold. The only fruit was a bowl of oranges. There were four hot dishes. The breakfast room was so large it looked like they must offer a better breakfast in non-covid times. Our room was small but it was off by itself in a strange corner of the hallway so perhaps other rooms are larger. Hotel walls are definitely thin and we could hear doors opening and closing all around us. Perhaps ask for a top floor room.

Oh, no! That I-70 closure sure had our roads closed and under construction for quite some time. The event made national news! We are glad you arrived safely and were able to enjoy the many activities our town of Glenwood Springs has to offer. I promise you that our breakfast options have improved since your last visit. We now carry a yogurt/fruit and nuts bar, waffles, and now 6-7 different hot meal options. Fresh coffee brewed all day long :) We do hope you find your way back to Colorado to enjoy the beauty and outdoor activities our town of Glenwood Springs has to offer.

Wonderful, will book here again my next visit. Everything the newly cleaned, pleasantly smelled of bleach, the white linens were beautiful tucked and folded. The duvet and sheets were very white and stain free. Absolutely no dust present in the the room or bathroom.

This is an excellent mid-priced hotel that impressed from the start. Jodie, at the front desk, provided a comprehensive, efficient, and friendly check in. The rooms were large and very clean and quiet. Very dog friendly, with a large open lot extending from the back of the parking lot. The beds were extremely comfortable and the double room contained a tub. The included breakfast was the most extensive I have encountered in the US, with two staff monitoring it. One of the best hotel experiences I have had since Covid.
