Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We knew this campground would be a questionable choice because of other reviews, but we booked two nights for our RV stay anyway. This property looks a lot like strip mining the way it's terraced. The office at the top of the hill, along with tent camping, then the RV spots below. We are pulling a large fifth wheel and, of course, a guy in front of us stops at the top of the hill, leaving us on a steep incline trying to check in. Luckily, the manager moved him along quickly, but not easy getting 60 foot moving again on that type of incline!
The spots are not wide, so we had to negotiate a bit to get all our slides out. However the space was a long pull through which gave us options for the position of the trailer. This park has all natural landscaping, but has shade trees too. We were not able to open our awning all the way and not enough room for chairs by the rig.
It looked as if quite a few people live in their RV's and they are hunkered in! Cars, bicycles, kids, cats and guys working under trucks was the norm.
I am not sure I would return to this campground. Thinking it was okay in a pinch but better available in this town.

Traveling from Utah this was a convenient stop not far off the highway. We booked over the phone with very friendly and helpful service. Arrived at 2:00 and were offered a few choices of sites. We choose 22. The view of the river and the Eagles flying by was beautiful. The highways noise is a bit of a downer, but earplugs for sleeping solved that. We asked to add a night and the owner was very accommodating.
Convenient location to town and hanging lake as well as the adventure park! (Holy cow was that something)
The price was $40.00 a night for full hook ups, we found that to be very affordable!

Typical RV park with lots of gravel and mom and pop character. People were nice enough and it was a fair price to proximity to town, but a fair number of "permanent" residents among the traveling visitors.

Nice campground. Liked my drive-in tent site. Very nice bathhouse and showers. Was close to my campsite. Campground also has well-maintained port-a-potties on each campsite “branch” (in case anyone doesn’t want to trek to bathhouse at night). Try to arrive before dark! Traffic was bad (out of Denver) and I arrived after dark. Owners were very accommodating; called me and gave me my site #. I parked at office and walked with flashlight to find my site. Can hear traffic from interstate (I-70) but not a problem for me - and i think you would hear traffic from the other campgrounds in this area as well. It was great to be able to charge my phone and Apple watch at my campsite. I am not accustomed to tent sites with electrical hook-ups! Definitely a big plus! Ground is hard (typical of CO); my tent is free-standing. Might be a bit of a challenge with a tent that has to be staked to stay upright. Again, not a criticism of this campground; this is a “general warning” for CO campgrounds!
Will definitely stay here again next time I am back in Glenwood Springs!

Campground is on the west side of Glenwood Springs. It is on a hill and most of the campsites are pull through. It is an older, family-owned campground. Lots of trees, very friendly staff, beautiful views. Very level campsites. Traffic is at the bottom of the hill but we did not find it annoying. It is about 3 miles from Glenwood Springs. Roads into campsites are older but not a problem. Campground host takes you to your Camp site. Sites are close together, but they are staggered so you don’t feel cramped. The bathrooms were very nice with showers. However, it is a steep walk to them. We have an RV but they have amazing tents sites that are separate and very private and close to the bathroom. Would definitely stay there again. See pictures of inside and outside of bathrooms

We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed it. Yes, there’s a bit of noise from the interstate but if your van/RV is well insulated, no problem, and it’s very easy to find following the directions Craig gave.
Sites 51 to 55 good for smaller RVs with great views, quite close to bathroom block (loved the design of the womens!) and good to sit out early morning to watch bird life and chipmunks.
Craig was really helpful.
We’d come from snow in the Rockies so enjoyed a day at Glenwood Springs as the warm pools were such a treat.

Sites are laid out nicely, terraced off, but property is very run down for the price.

Pet Owners be Aware: My dog got full of burlocks all over his legs and paws. We had to cut them out. He was NOT running through anything. He was on leash every time he was outside. This was just going from our trailer to our truck. Come on man, have the decency to weed in the actual camp site. This place isn't cheap. Burlocks are super dangerous for pets. Never been in any campground that had these. Even state campgrounds clear those weeds out.

Pretty location. WiFi was good. Was cold at night so all windows were closed, yet super loud freeway noise from I70. Would be really bad in summer if you had to have your windows opened. This place could use some love.

Ami’s Acres was a great spot to tent camp. The manager was extremely nice and helpful with directions and advice for the surrounding area. The tent sites were set apart from RV sites which made it more private. The highway is loud, but is easily forgotten with beautiful mountains across.

I called to see if there were any available spots. The guy was pleasant until he found out we were 3 1/2 hours away. I then asked if there was anything available the next three nights his answer was we’re “pretty” booked but yet not fully booked. I’d say he had an issue with someone from out of town wanting to stay at his campground. I have a friend who lives in Eagle Colorado and hopefully they will pass this on to others there was no reason for his rudeness.

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this little gem when traveling cross country with my nephew. Nestled in the mountains every campsite has stunning views. Whether you are traveling by RV or throwing up a tent (like us) Ami's Acres is a great place to relax. I love the fact that it is family owned and the staff is truly warm and inviting.

I think they vary. I only camped and at this moment cannot tell you what I was charged. It was not expensive. You can visit their website for more info by searching for them in your web browser. Drew
