Our family booked a two bedroom suite for three nights over Labor Day weekend. The hotel is well located, but there is really no reason for a daily parking charge, as many other reviewers have mentioned. Just charge $12 more a day for the room, no one would blink at that.

Our room was well laid out but not the cleanest. The hotel is dog friendly (though we did not bring our dog) and you could see the marks on the window sills from dogs either jumping up with muddy paws or putting their muddy faces on the sills from previous stays (on both bedroom windows). Also, our room was never cleaned in the three nights. I finally asked and was told that we opted out (which I would've never done). We're frequent Marriott patrons and booked via the app. When I revisited the app it specifically states that the room will be cleaned every other day, there's no opt in or out. We should've been offered extra Marriott points or a partial refund for this inconvenience as our room desperately needed to be cleaned.

Overall, this hotel falls short of Marriott's standards and expectations. We would look for another option next time.

Thank you for your review WorldTravlerCO. We apologize for the confusion with housekeeping. Housekeeping is every other day unless you opt out. Sounds like some miscommunication led to an "opt out". We hope you will reconsider and stay with us on your next trip to Glenwood Springs. Thanks again for your review!

We stay here occasionally because we need two rooms. The rooms are generally quite nice, bedding comfortable and nice having two bathrooms. But it seems it needs a bit of a refresh. The bathroom, and bedroom door would not stay open, nor would the bathroom door completely close. The shower head was pretty awful. I don’t get the pillows with the big chunks of foam. It feels like big chunks of foam. One shade didn’t work. We were most disappointed with the breakfast. Commercially wrapped burritos or quiche on a steam table, watery oatmeal, watery eggs, tea water that tasted like coffee. The multigrain bread, an orange and Cheerios were fine. I guess I was hoping for something a little more elevated for a Residence Inn and $300/night.
The front desk staff was very nice.

Cute room. The hotel has a pool, small workout room and laundry room. Basketball court and outdoor patio area. Full sized fridge and dishwasher in our king bed room. View of the community garden and parking lot. The room had two closets and at first I was shocked there were no hangers when I peeked into the first closet. But then I found the main closet and hangers, iron and ironing board in it. Their dry cleaning services and high speed internet were not available but the laundry room and regular speed internet were fine.
What I really liked was they have two hanging bars for your towel on the wall and not a rack in the shower like some hotels do. And a hair dryer. He didn’t like the body soap and shampoo conditioner bottles. He likes bar soap. The shower had good pressure and a nice spray shower head. And an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Nice! Well lighted mirror so putting on make up was easier. The bed and pillows were comfy.
Breakfast was meh. The servers were not pleasant at all. And they don’t watch attendance to refill their offerings. You get what you get which at an hour and a half before end was pretty much nothing. Sad. Didn’t bother to leave a tip.
Parking is $12. They are pet friendly. We didn’t have time to use any amenities as we were just stopping for a night and were tired. The stay was pleasant enough and check out was easy. The front desk associate was friendly. Would stay here again.

Room 227 over the breakfast area has 2 bedroom windows and 1 living room window that are eye level with gross bird poop covered roofs and hvac units, the building facade blocks any orher light/view. Staff member begrudgingly changed our room, refusing to let us see it to make sure we weren’t getting into something worse. It was so gross, we ended up skipping breakfast there over our 4 night stay…between that and a $12 parking charge we felt ripped off. Shocked this would be considered a normal full price suite.

Charging a fee for parking in an out-of-town location where you have to drive to is ridiculous in Glenwood Springs. Stay in town at a much nicer hotel, within walking distance to restaurants and pool and YOU DON'T GET CHARGED A PARKING FEE. First time I've received a charge for parking outside of NYC. More importantly, the checkin person wasn't wearing a mask along with some of the other hotel associates. For breakfast, the food was cool, not hot, we only found one table that was clean, in fact, we didn't see anyone cleaning tables while we picked at our cold food. Our first and last time staying here and I'm a Marriott member.

I booked the night on Expedia an hour before arriving. When we walked up to the desk to check in, we were informed there would be a 10 dollar fee to park in any of the hotel parking spaces. Now keep in mind, the front door is a sidewalk away from traffic, with no place to park or stop. The back of the building seems to be the main entrance, and what little parking is there is cramped. There is no place else to park near this hotel. I mentioned the fact we were not informed of a parking fee, so they signed me up for rewards, so parking would be free this time. Early this morning, the 14th, the woman at the desk forgot her bra. The girls were bobbing, so she put her arm under them to stop the show. Wow. I believe a staff meeting about dress code is in order. The breakfast is great. Sadly, the hot tub and pool won’t be open until 10:00 am. So much for a refreshing dip, or a relaxing soak, to start the day. Nice rooms.

Spent a week in 401 with fireplace and two windows for a great Mountain View. Front desk personnel were wonderful. This is a great location with shopping and restaurants close and about 15 to 20 minute walk to the Hot Springs, Gondolas, or downtown. We came in on train and had a few suitcases so we took an Uber to and from train but could easily have walked with less luggage. We will bring bikes next time. Only complaint is hot shower water was inconsistent. Some mornings the water only got luke warm. Kitchen well stocked and comfortable bed. Great choice and we will return. Breakfast instant eggs were suspect, but otherwise the morning fare was decent. Call Hookers in town and reserve a wading trip with Matt. You won’t need any gear.

We traveled during July 2020 during the COVID restrictions. This was a very new modern hotel with all of the expected amenities. That includes a convenient coin laundry that was $2 per wash and $2 per dry load. They offered change up front and I was able to buy a box of detergent for a dollar.

The indoor pool was a great way to cool off during the hot July road trip. This is attached by parking lots to a new shopping center as well with all of thing things you might need on the road. COVID restrictions included less pillows than normal and a cold bagged breakfast. It is what it is. They did their very best to make our stay comfortable. The room was spotless and comfortable. The area was very safe and couldn't have been better for a travelling family.

Checked in this afternoon. Waited almost 10 minutes for any staff member to come out from the back room to check me in. They made eye contact with me several times but were preoccupied with their phones. Parking lot is full but luckily found a spot. Room is typical Residence Inn. Quiet location away from central city hub. Could walk in about 15-20 minutes or a short mile drive

Hello, If you are coming in on the Amtrak, we have an agreement with Glenwood Adventure Company for shuttle service. Give them a call at least 24 hours in advance and let them know the "expected" arrival time; cost is free. If you wish to take a cab instead, 970-319-4687 is the number for Valley Taxi and it should be anywhere from a $7-$10 fare. We look forward to seeing you!
