Eliza and David are the perfect hosts- full of great suggestions for food, hiking and entertainment. Lovely labyrinth to walk and meditate, the Scalar Heart session was a special bonus. We also got discounts at the Vapor Caves!

We had an excellent stay at the Best Kept Secret. We rented the whole downstairs and saved a lot of money having the full kitchen so we could prepare our own meals. We loved the fact that we could walk to the Hot Springs Pool, the Brew Pub, etc. The property is a little wildlife habitat for hummingbirds and butterflies and that made it very special for our daughter.

When you first arrive at The Best Kept Secret you are likely to be greeted by host David, sitting on a lovely sun dappled porch. He greets you enthusiastically and genuinely. I'm sure he's been greeting guests for years, but he makes you feel welcome, like a long lost friend. We've stayed at many B&B's that are nice, yet the hosts seem to be going through the motions. Not here. David provides a wealth of knowledge about Glenwood Springs, its history, where to to go and what to do. He's guides you to your picture perfect room and gets you settled.

Eliza was preparing food in the kitchen when we arrived, and we got to taste the fruits of her labor the next morning. Our breakfast was superb - a banquet in fact. Eliza even went to the trouble of sourcing a delicious bread for me that was dairy free (iIm allergic to dairy). I didn't request this, it was just part of the service, and very much appreciated.

The house is decorated tastefully and elegantly. Dave and Eliza have an eye for quality and detail. The room we stayed in was equally well decorated. The bed was a true highlight. Dave and Eliza were excited to explain that each side of the queen size bed can be electronically adjusted to individual taste. When it was time for us to sleep, we set our respective sides of the bed to our desired 'hardness' of 'softness' setting. It was a real treat, not to mention that we both had the best sleep.

I would highly recommend Best Kept Secret B&B to couples visiting Glenwood Springs. It was like an oasis. The only minor downside was that the floors creaked in our room. This isn't a huge complaint, just something to be aware of. Otherwise all good.

Beginning this on a positive note, our hosts were gracious and accommodating and we liked the location. However, the “Study” is not suited for two guests. One person can navigate the incredibly small space, but two people in this room does not work. The room is completely airless and cluttered. Large bookshelves take up almost a whole wall, and a useless Murphy bed (two people cannot fit, so why in heaven is there a third possible bed) box in the guests. The one possibility for putting your clothes in drawers was full of extra pillows and blankets, which should have been removed and optionally offered during these hot summer months. The only place to hang clothes was over the refrigerator and the only place for doing makeup was over the microwave! The bed was uncomfortable. You can only lock your room from the inside. The windows were not able to be opened so you could not enjoy the cool Colorado night air while you were sleeping. Vacationers want gracious accommodations. This was not. We are very sorry we did not feel positively about our stay. We sincerely wish it would have been otherwise.

We stayed this weekend in Glenwood Springs and went to the Yampa Spa for a day. I decided to find a bed and breakfast for the trip and this one came recommended. Overall it was a great choice. It is a small and intimate B&B with only two rooms. Breakfast is home cooked with a special plus several alternate choices. I always got the special and it was very good. The owners are super nice and helpful if you need any advice about the area, and we enjoyed talking with them very much. We had the Boudoir and it was a small but nicely furnished room. The bathroom was private and quite large. The location was perfect. It is very quiet, but still within walking distance from all the places of interest. My only complaint was that the bed was not very comfortable. Granted that I am picky about my bed, but I think it is time for a new high end bed for that room. I'm a big guy and I sank a bit in the middle.

Overall an excellent value. I will stay there again if I return.

The perfect place for two couples to call home while exploring the Glenwood Springs, Colorado, area. Clean and interesting rooms; lovely hosts; terrific location being close to downtown where one can walk to dinner, shop, etc.; breakfast to accommodate your plans for the day (i.e., breakfast picnic, birthday celebration, etc.); and the surrounding grounds, gardens, flowers, etc., give an extra homelike feel. Don't pass up this beauty!

My first stay at a Bed & Breakfast and I loved it! Eliza, David and Jesse were so welcoming. Their lovely home is situated perfectly in downtown Glenwood Springs so it’s very easy to walk to restaurants, hiking trails and other attractions in the area. Eliza lays out a nice continental breakfast with the sweetest fruit. The beds are comfortable and I could live in the hot tub. Well, until Eliza suggested my friend and I try the monthly special at Yampah Spa…the Pink Sugar Body Scrub with mineral bath & massage. I found all of their suggestions were spot-on. Thank you, thank you for making my trip to Glenwood Springs so wonderful!

Our stay here was just super: The location, food (especially yummy breakfasts), hikes and hot tub all helped. But what really made the visit special for us was the host and hostess. David took the time to ensure that our short visit was well spent. His stories about the area and life in general were both entertaining and instructive. We loved it.
