The mattress I slept on was very old and saggy, and I could feel the springs digging in to my back. The manager didn't seem to care when I complained. There were a lot of unnecessary rules and regulations, such as:
-Not cooking meals in the kitchen after 7.00pm
-Not using oven!
-Only cooking what manager described as "light meals, not heavy".
-Only one person is allowed to use the kitchen at a time (although it is clearly designed for at least 2 people as there are two sinks and 6 gas elements.
There were many other "rules and regulations", and altogether I felt I was treated like a delinquent teenager, with the manager acting as "camp mother". I hated the place so much I moved out after a week even though I had paid for two weeks in advance, and couldn't get a refund. In addition, the bedrooms are tiny and definitely not worth $400 per week (I previously stayed in a better boarding house for $270 a week) and best avoided unless you are really desperate.

this place was horrible! Way overpriced and was treated like my opinion or feedback did not matter at all. The owner was absolutely horrible to be around and I actually watched her yell at somebody outside, making her cry. Would not reccomend to anybody. She is simply a horrible human being who should not be in a job where anybody has to deal with her.

If you're looking for a place to sleep, or to make a base while in Auckland, then I recommend this place. Just 10 mins into the city by bus or car. Buses run every 5-10 mins into the city. Supermarket is just down the road. Shared facilities ie lounge, kitchen. Own ensuite. Fridge in room. Internet available for a fee. Own landline in room,
