Stayed on night. Very accommodating. Woke up to 4 inches of snow. Being from Phoenix ... not prepared. They provided a snow brush to clean off car. Will stay again. Neat little town as well. Cowboy themes and even a little river to walk along. Some neat older buildings.

We spent the night here after riding the Durango Silverton Railroad 🚂 after short trip going to the North Pole. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was excellent and the beds were soft and comfy. After a trip, you might be hungry and the staff didn’t let us down, P

Not really within walking distance from the old town part of Durango but this Comfort does meet all the standards. Good comfortable beds, clean rooms, nice friendly staff and good breakfast. We did walk across the highway (at the crosswalk) to the natural food store.

People at front desk were very helpful and nice. They even have popcorn for you to munch on the evening. However, during our stay they had several bus loads or hundreds of people who were touring the area who were somewhat boisterous and noisy. Luckily we had a room further do

Are pets allowed? I cannot locate that info anywhere online, and have been on hold quite a while on the phone. Trying to figure out what the fee might be for 1 small dog, that will be crated.
There is a pet fee of$35.00 per pet per stay of 7 days.

Can I drive the scenic drive on my own or do I need a guide?
Hwy 550 from Durango to Montrose is the "scenic Highway" also known as Red Mountain pass. It can be driven on your own. It is beautiful, but has sharp curves and is steep most of the way. If you want to look at the scenery and not worry about watching the road, I would suggest having someone else drive.
