When you can’t count knowing what your experience will be like in any given town/city, it’s a joy knowing you can count in Hilton to know that your stay will be a great one! It’s assuring to know that a helpful staff and amenities awaits you no matter where you are staying and Hilton is there! Great job!
3 adults and 2 kids stayed in a Queen Studio Suite (2 beds) and we had a great stay! The beds are comfortable, the shower and water pressure are good! We used the pool and the outdoor grill and thoroughly enjoyed both! Excellent breakfast buffet of scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked bacon, waffles and pastries, fruit, yogurt and cereal! Parking was tight our first night.
This hotel is located about 8 minutes from the busy downtown pretty much in a secluded area off the highway. Easy on/off access, but have to drive to get something to eat nearby. The suites are nice with a kitchen and walk-in shower, very comfortable bed and nice work station with plenty of plug-ins. Friendly folks too...
We often stay in Hilton properties especially Homewood Suites. The mattresses on both bed and convertible couch were comfortable. The suite we had was clean and well maintained except the vinyl couch which has significant wear (holes in vinyl). I expect better when paying $300 A night for a suite. The breakfast buffet is ok but lacks a variety of food choices that other Homewoods have. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our TV remote didn't work and someone came up immediately with a replacement. The lobby, ground and breakfast area were all clean I would stay again, but the owners really need to replace some of the aging furniture.
Nice to have a little kitchen. Layout was kind of illogical and awkward. Lights to kitchen weren’t in kitchen. Bathroom sink was in bedroom so one could not use sink with light next to beds in the night. Toilet and shower in a very cramped space with NO NIGHT LIGHT. excess furniture spread over room. Bedding was polyester. Internet was USELESS. Breakfast was quite generous and well laid out.
Stayed here for a night as we had an early flight out of Durango airport. The red headed guy at the front desk was great! Helpful and enthusiastic! Our room was very spacious with a separate living room and kitchen. They had a social hour with tasty food and good beer too. Nice hot tub and pool. I am glad we only stayed a night though as they only have housekeeping every 4th day…
Love this hotel, stay here almost everytime we go to Durango, the place is safe and clean, the staff is always friendly and they are Pet Friendly so your dogs that are family are welcome to stay with you. The food for breakfast was delicious, the pool and hot tub were great and bedroom quiet and comfy.
Be Careful. We booked this hotel for a night in December using Chase points and a credit card deposit but had to cancel. We were still within the free cancellation period and we attempted to cancel online but kept receiving an error. Finally we called Chase for help. Chase contacted the hotel for us twice and both times Homewood Suites said they would be refunded the money but they have not. It is now a month passed the date and still nothing has happened. Chase explained to us that they first have to receive the payment back from the hotel, which they haven't yet received, despite the promises. We have had to cancel before through Chase and never had an issue except with this hotel. Every time we canceled with Chase we have been immediately refunded with points/and or money. Only this hotel has presented us a problem. When you book through Chase using points the hotel is immediately paid the cost of the booking. When you cancel it is refunded back to Chase who then refund you. Since the hotel is not refunding Chase we are stuck with no refund of our money and points. The hotel doesn't seem to want to refund us though they are contractually obligated to do so. My advice, do not pay up front to this hotel and only pay when you arrive.…
We left early due to the noise level & unwillingness of the staff to assist. We are having trouble getting a refund of our unused days. As a local, I suggest staying elsewhere in the area. They facility is clean but it’s not worth the trouble.
Due to our flight out of Durango being cancelled, we had to find 3 rooms for 8 people for one night. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, pleasant and polite. Rooms were spacious and clean. Easy travel to Durango La Plata Airport.
