Nestled in a picturesque location ideal for both leisure and business events, The Broadmoor Hotel garners praise for its serene, well-appointed rooms and top-notch service, although some guests have noted high service fees and sporadic slow responses. The atmosphere is consistently lauded for its luxurious elegance, with the spa, golf courses, and dining options being popular among guests despite the associated costs. While the hotel is celebrated for its cleanliness and meticulous grounds, some travelers question the value due to the pricing structure.

The Broadmoor Hotel complex is beautiful, both inside and out. Everything is meticulously maintained, and there are a lot of employees working here. The experience overall was very good, but not excellent. Some of the reasons why are:
1. Prices are too high for the services. There are two taxes added to the room charge, plus a daily resort fee, plus a mandatory service (tip). There are many reviews on this site objecting to the mandatory service tip. The minimum tipping should be at the customer's discretion.
2. Food ranges from good to mediocre. We ate at one of the restaurants where my husband ordered a steak, medium rare. It arrived medium well.
3. We stayed four days, and on the fourth day, our room was not cleaned. Housekeeping service light was on, twice, and the housekeeper arrived after 4 p.m. that day, inquiring if we wanted the room cleaned. We would have to leave the room, and one of us was napping at the time, so she was told no.
4. Pillows on bed very soft, not comfortable. Firm pillows should be placed inside the room's closet.
5. Spa services were very good, but not at the level the price would dictate. Not much different from what I already get at home.
In summary, we certainly do not regret staying here, but if we were to return to Colorado Springs, we'd stay at a different hotel next time.

We spent a week at The Broadmoor earlier this month, and all in all, it was a wonderful stay. In short: the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are plush, and the onsite restaurants we visited were all very good.

It is hard to put into words just how special the property and environment are. At times it seemed as though I were rambling about an English countryside, and at other moments I felt like I relaxing in Lake Como....all the while encircled by striking Colorado mountains.

The Broadmoor has certainly earned its reputation as a distinguished property in the US, and it’s remarkable to ponder all of the historical figures who have stayed there. There’s a Hall of Fame with framed photos of celebrated guests, but even if your photo isn’t on display, you’ll still feel like a VIP surrounded by opulence and elegance at every turn.

Highlights for our family included visits to The Golden Bee & Ristorante de Lago; roasting marshmallows at the fire pit overlooking the lake; and relaxing poolside.

Special thank you to staff members who were exceptionally helpful: Stacey and Tori at the pool; Hannah at check in; Andy in concierge; Kaylee at The Golden Bee; Terry at Ristorante Del Lago. And to the entire Housekeeping Team: thank you, thank you! You are keeping the property sanitized and spotless under especially challenging circumstances.

We miss The Broadmoor already and hope to return in a post-COVID-19 era, to enjoy the hotel in its full splendor.

We live in the UK, daughter lives in Denver. For the last 5 years we have celebrated joint wedding anniversaries at the Broadmoor and have always received a dessert plate wishing us a happy anniversary. Not this year so my daughter was very disappointed.

Added to this parking was always complimentary. Not this year 12 dollars. The brunch is 65 dollars person and we were sat in a room off a service corridor. Previous years we have been seated in main room. From a visitors point of view property is stunning but brunch/parking was disappointing!

Service and cleanliness off the charts. Even the multiple crystal chandeliers showed not an ounce of dust. Room beautiful and welcoming. Made change to my reservation upon arrival and was not an issue, once again living up to excellent customer service.

Only complaint is the food. Dined at Ristorante del Largo and was not impressed. Ordered the beets as an appetizer and it tasted like canned beets with a campfire additive. Ordered the lasagna thinking it was their specialty and was the same as what I could make at home, yet almost overcooked with no garnishing's or flare. My husband ordered the Campanelle Carbonara and left still hungry. Room service was quick, but the breakfast burrito was awful. Appeared pre-made, refrigerated, then warmed back up. Not fresh tasting at all. However, the bran muffin was very good and the fruit side was ample amount and good quality.

We splurged on a one night’s stay at The Broadmoor to close out a week in Colorado Springs. The grounds and facilities were as we expected them to be...immaculate. This was a pleasant experience in every way. We enjoyed the infinity pool- especially the comfortable chaise loungers with plush towels already resting on them awaiting your arrival. The kids loved the water slides (we would’ve loved them too but they said you had to be under 18!) We also used the peddle boats which was a nice way to be able to see more of the grounds.

When we arrived in our room, we were blown away. We had booked in the lowest room type, Classic Room, and the room far exceeded our expectations. It was gorgeous. A very large bathroom with double sinks and two shower heads. A large closet, enormous chandelier, plush robes, slippers, and more were found in the spacious, beautifully decorated room. Comfortable beds and pillows. And my favorite part...the large mirrored vanity. I felt royal!

The food both at the pool and in the Restaurante del Lago left a lot to be desired.

The customer service was second to none. As one example, I was taking a picture near the pool. A staff member came over and said “Isn’t that view beautiful? I never get tired of looking at the view. The only thing that would make your picture more beautiful is if you would get in it. Can I have your phone to take your picture?” That was a wow!

Though we can afford to stay in the resort, I have rated this a four rather than five star because I think they are a little proud in their pricing structure. For nearly $500 a night I think it is a little much to add another $36 resort fee and a $35 parking fee.

Stayed at the Broadmoor for my son's graduation. Requested an early check (I was told 1:00 was the earliest they could do)in which they noted on my reservatio. Arrived to hotel around 4pm and the room we requested was not ready. They offered a similar room but we still had to wait which started our stay off on a bad note. The valet's are wonderful and deserve a 5 star rating. We were gone early in the am each day and returned late in the afternoon both days to an uncleaned room. Housekeeping come by around 4:30 each day and we would ask for them to come back so we could get ready for dinner. It would have been nice to know that the Epicurean wasn't open before our stay. We also did the cog train and spent over $200 for 3 of us and were surprised when we reached the top that there was nothing open and no donuts just slippery iced over areas to navigate to the port a potty line. Wait on the port a potty line and head back down. Its a beautiful train and the views are lovely but I feel like the advertising was misleading. Your website says," Don’t miss the legendary donuts and fudge for which the Summit House is famous. " I assumed you had some sort of food venue or something while you built your new building. It was lovely but knowing what we spent and the service we received I was disappointed.

My (newly) husband & I stayed at the Broadmoor for our "mini" honeymoon (COVID). It was both of our first time staying here, and most likely our last. For the room being over $500.00, we were expecting a little bit more "resort" feel. While the little balcony was nice and the bed was comfortable, we were a bit disappointed in everything else.

We had made reservations in the Tavern for dinner and our server was so rude. He didn't know much about the menu and was pretty unprofessional when we were asking questions, almost as if we were an inconvenience for him. We asked several times for refills on our water and never got one. We knew gratuity was already going to be added to our bill but for it being the Braodmoor (and a 5-star resort), you would expect every person working to be a 5-star employee. This gentlemen was not. The next day, we ended up ordering room service for breakfast and that was an expensive mistake. It was over $70.00 for (2) breakfast burritos and (2) yogurt parfait bowls. The burritos literally tasted like ones you could buy at an convenience store for $3.00. We couldn't even finish them. So then, we went to the coffee shop that was open by the main lobby, and the young lady that was working was also SUPER rude. We were the only ones in line when we walked in and instead of greeting us she just gave us dirty looks. The place was filthy and we did not feel welcomed at all.

We were planning on golfing that afternoon, but didn't feel like we needed to waste anymore of our money (or time) at this place. We ended up spending close to $1,300.00 (room, food, shopping, etc.) for ONE night. We've heard nothing but amazing things about the Broadmoor but our experience was a complete disaster. We would have ended up staying a few more nights, but it was not worth it and it definitely was not how we wanted to spend our "mini" honeymoon. Extremely disappointed.

The Broadmoor never fails to impress, even in the middle of a pandemic. Our 4th of July weekend getaway was perfect. We got a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful room in the West Tower that had a very large balcony (we usually prefer the South Tower, but we very much enjoyed the West Tower for a change). Our favorite meal was the breakfast at Del Lago, but all our meals were very good. We LOVED the required reservations for the swimming pool. The pool area was serene, guests kept their distance, and our servers each day, Taylor and Rina were delightful. Try the tuna wrap sandwich and a Broadmoor margarita for a nice lunch poolside. Almost all our travel plans for this summer were canceled and this weekend felt like a mini-vacation.. Well done, Broadmoor.

My family came for a week- Sun to Sat. The grounds are amazing and the staff was friendly. While things were on pricey side, it is to be expected considering the quality of the hotel. I think my major complaint was the wait times. With the capacity restrictions due to COVID, I think they overbooked on guests which didn’t allow enough staff to be on the premises to support the level of service needed. We tried to do room service one night and they said it was a 2.5 hour wait and all the restaurants were at capacity to have a seated dinner. Luckily, I had seen earlier in the week that the grill allowed take out and I was able to contact them directly. The tavern only had 2 waiters serving the outside dining area of 10+ tables. You understand because of the times, but when you spend this much to stay at a resort this nice hotel you expect them to work out these issues.
Overall a very good visit and we will be back.

All the years we lived in Colorado we had never visited The Broadmoor so when we decided to make a trip to see family, we stayed here for 2 nights.

The property is huge! I read it has 799 rooms. We learned from one of the servers that due to Covid-19 not all buildings were being used. Restaurants open were based on where they could reduce seating due to requirements and still make a profit. We could understand.

We stayed in the West building in a Premier room. The room was spacious and clean and bathroom was very nice. We had a view of the mountains over the valet parking lot on the back side. My only criticism of the room is that for a premier room it should have had 2 club chairs instead of just one. As a result, the only other seating was a straight back chair at the desk which was not as comfortable. We felt the bed was pretty hard but that’s always a subjective call.

While there we ate dinner at The Grille and La Taverne. We enjoyed The Grille over the other restaurant. We had an outdoor table and as it got dusk a few deer came down and crossed the golf course. The golf course was beautiful. Food was very good. Food at La Taverne was good too but the interior seating just wasn’t as nice. Breakfast for both days at the Italian restaurant and again the food was very good. As everyone says - make your dining reservations well in advance!

All restaurants that are open are serving a limited menu but had a nice variety.

We walked the grounds and enjoyed the scenery.

I see why people come and don’t go anywhere else. If you had full use of the property, it would be even better. The times we live in right now. I do agree with other posters that because not all amenities were available the resort fee should be reduced.

Staff were friendly and professional. We were glad to have the chance to stay to satisfy our curiosity.

Broadmoor West is on the opposite side of the lake from the main hotel. It is nice, but you have to walk a ways to get to any of the main hotel ammenities, i.e. - the spa, pool, golf club house, breakfast dining room, etc. I would always choose the South Tower which is adjacent to the spa and looks over the golf course.

They have a little theater and a playground by the pool as well as a bowling alley. The pool has a children's space with two water slides. If you're planning to stay a day by the pool and go to the bowling alley in the evening I would only stay one day at the property and explore the Springs on the other days.
