Gold Point Resort is celebrated for its spacious and inviting atmosphere, complete with modern baths and plush furnishings like a hot tub, according to guests' reviews. The resort's clean, amenity-rich units, including washers and dryers, contribute to its value, though unexpected fees have been a point of contention for some. Many appreciate the friendly service, complimentary shuttle, and the tranquil, scenic location. While the ample amenities, such as well-equipped kitchens and multiple hot tubs, receive consistent praise, issues with cleaning fees and streaming have been noted by a few travelers.

Good accommodation a little outside Breckenridge town on Baldy Mountain with great views. All reception, housekeeping and maintenance staff were friendly and responsive Although the hotel is not in the town the free bus service was extremely reliable and punctual to get to the ski slopes and into town for the evening. Would stay there again.

The Gold Point resort was very well maintained and the views of the mountain were spectacular. Staff were very friendly and anxious to make sure we were comfortable. The free bus shuttle stopped right at the Resort which made it very easy to get into town.

Gold point sure is a nice property and beautiful location. We stayed in a 3 bedrooms unit and we found it very spacious for 7 of us (1 toddler)and the unit was nice and clean. The kitchen and dining area have everything we needed to make our own family breakfast/dinner. We love the multi-levels/sections in the unit such as the upper level for TV living room area which is separate from the kitchen/dining area, and that made us feel comfortable just like home. The mountain view from the patio was so gorgeous, it was nice and relaxing, especially when having morning coffee. The front desk staff (Lisa) was super friendly and very helpful, the maintenance guy was also the same. We would consider coming back to Gold Point again and highly recommend to anyone with a group of 8-10 people. You'll love it!

Used our Interval International timeshare to vacation here for a second time (first time was in 2018). Property is super well maintained and has been kept updated with new furnishings, carpet, window coverings, stainless steel appliances. Kitchen is stocked with nice selection of dishes, mixing bowls, baking sheets/pans for those that enjoy preparing thier own meals. I am very impressed how well this property is maintained as it was built back in the late 1970s. The maintenace of the exterior is impeccable and the interiors have been updated and kept modern with continual furnishing replacement. King sized bed was new and super comfortable. This is not a Marriot Vacations type facility, but is a well maintined, super clean and a true hidden gem. No charge for parking (many units even feature automobile garages with electric door openers), several very large hot tubs, outdoor gas grills.

We spend Thanksgiving week at the Gold Point Resort almost every year. We stay at a three bedroom, three bath, with a fully equipped kitchen, cozy gas fireplace, and some of the greatest mountain views you could ever ask for. The view of the ski slopes, opposite our location, are magnificent.! The office staff are professional, proficient, and very accommodating, They also provide free tickets to the local Recreational Center in town. This elevates the level to a five-star rating. Free bus transportation to the town and back is available at one corner of the resort. This is one of our favorite places to experience the Thanksgiving season.

Spent a week skiing at Breckenridge and Keystone, Jan 19-27 so spent evenings at Gold Point. 3 bedroom unit had a queen bed in the upstairs room near the kitchen and living room, another queen bedroom downstairs as well as a third bedroom with two twin beds. There was a sofa in the living room that was a hide-a-bed but we only used it as a sofa. The loveseat and chair provided seating for six in the living room. The dining room table had room for at least six, maybe eight. The unit had access to a hot tub big enough for eight people shared between several other units, but there was never anyone else using it. The 2 car garage is shared by 2 units. Our Jeep Gladiator truck just barely fit in the garage, so we blocked the door from the garage into the unit, but the truck was dry and relatively warm (about 35 in the garage as opposed to below zero outside, so we’ll worth the inconvenience of walking around to the garage door to get in). Beds and pillows were comfy and the unit was clean and spacious. The gas fireplace in the living room was nice and operated on a timer with a single button push. Bedding was a little thin, so we kept the heat a little warmer at night than we normally do at home, but definitely not too hot as many places are. There was some noise from the unit upstairs, but never after 10 pm, so no issues with the neighbors. The views of Breckenridge ski runs from the living room, kitchen and balcony were beautiful. Gold Point is across the valley from the ski runs, so it takes 20 minutes or so to drive to peak 9 parking or the gondola parking area. It is 20 years old or more, so not the latest in decor or amenities, but a great place to sleep without interruptions after a day of skiing.

I have been coming to Gold Point with my family for over 25 years. While Breckenridge has changed extensively Gold Point has not, and that’s what we love about it. The location offers beautiful views and is removed from the mobs of people and activity in town. The unit is a little out dated, although furniture and carpeting have been updated and are nice, but kept nice and clean everything is in working order. Very comfortable and cozy. There is a lot of hiking and biking trails nearby and the free shuttle bus to town picks up and drops off just out front. The office/lobby has a nice common and sitting area with a pool table, shuffleboard and the deck has a fire pit. There is also Cornhole and tables outside under the trees with lights. The front desk staff was very friendly. They do allow dogs in the units and on the property, which is great because we love to bring ours. But as is the case everywhere you go, some dog owners have better control of their pets than others and like to let their dogs run off leash, which could be dangerous for the variety of wildlife we saw while at the condo…bears, foxes and moose. We love Gold Point and look forward to our week every year! In fact we often use our benefit as owners for discounted prices throughout the year and come up more than our scheduled week.

We had a wonderful week stay at Gold Point Resort 8/5/22-8/12/22. The weather cooperated beautifully for our many hikes, gondola rides, alpine slide and walks through town!
The kitchen was well outfitted with coffee maker, blender, several sizes of plates and glasses - lots of pots and pans, cookie sheet and pizza pan. Each building has its own large jacuzzi which we enjoyed every day.
We loved the beds and especially the spectacular views of the mountains! We will look forward to returning next year!

This is our 4th time at Gold Point and we love it. Every morning I’d sit with a coffee and watch the alpenglow on the peaks across the valley. This property doesn’t have attached amenities like some of the other resorts, but you get a lot of space, a very well appointed kitchen, big living rooms, great Wi-Fi (I had a bunch of work to do while I was there and ZERO connectivity issues) and super comfy beds.

All 3 sinks had hand soap and lotion pump bottles right next to them and you need that lotion in this cool, dry air. Plenty of shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms, which had nice tubs, too. Plenty of towels including special ones for the hot tub, which we used several times. Sure was fun sitting in there, watching Peak 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 change color as the sun went down.

Grill worked great, and having your own garage to park in (with its opener) was super helpful. The big balcony overlooking the valley was pleasant and the perfect spot for afternoon happy hour.

This property is SUPER welcoming to dogs, and has lots of spots with bags to pick up after your critters. Our 2 dogs loved watching other dogs and the occasional fox. There were tons of hikes and trails that were right near us, one of the most fun was the Sallie Barber Mine trail. Another was Aspen Alley right down the street. And Baldy Mountain is right there at the end of the street.

We love Gold Point and will be back with mountain biking friends, for sure.

I am booking through Interval and it says one dog for a fee. Can we bring additional dogs for added fee? Thank you.

Great question! We only allow one dog per unit, there is a $35 nightly fee. Thanks!

Each building has one shared hot tub accessible from the main hallway. The very end units on each building will have to walk around to the main entrance. Since 6E is an end unit, I believe you will have to walk around. (It is short and a brief chill is fun!)

Hi Pete, 2D is a three bedroom townhome, it has a queen bed in the master bedroom, a queen in the second bedroom and two twins in the third bedroom. They do not need it. Because Gold Point is so high in the mountains, it does not get hot there. The average high temperature for days in June is 67 degrees, July is 73 degrees, August is 71 degrees and September is 64 degrees. The windows do open so you can get a breeze through the condo if needed. Bring some long-sleeved shirts and a jacket!
