First stay at this hotel and I really liked much of our stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful, included buffet breakfast is just right, our room with 2 doubles was enormous, beds are comfortable, location is fantastic and value is very good. A lot of road noise comes through the windows and sliding glass doors of our room which faced towards Sunset Blvd. The hotel isn't directly on Sunset, but the windows provide very limited sound insulation and so the street noise is surprisingly loud. No noise from other rooms. Hotel provides ear plugs in the room and with those, I was able to sleep well enough, though the occasional siren and then the increase in traffic in the morning breaks through the plugs. I would say The London is otherwise the best value in West LA/Hollywood and a great hotel, but I think I will be unlikely to stay here in future due to the street sound issues.

Great Staff, Spacious Rooms, But Some Room Layout Issues
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at The London. The location is good, though not as walkable to some parts of West Hollywood as I had hoped. That said, the hotel staff truly made our stay enjoyable. Every team member was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, which made a big difference.
The rooms are generously sized, but we found the layout to be a bit impractical. While the bed is large and comfortable, the massive headboard is positioned awkwardly against the closet and bedroom doors, leaving very limited space to move around, which felt cramped in an otherwise spacious 700+ square foot room.
Additionally, we had been promised a panoramic view from an upper-floor room and paid extra for it, but the view turned out to be more of a limited 90-degree angle, overlooking some unremarkable hills and streets. It wasn't exactly the breathtaking vista we had envisioned.
The bathroom setup was another small downside – the vanity, with only one sink, felt a bit inadequate for such a spacious room, making it tricky for two people to get ready at once.
That being said, the staff's warmth and the generous European-style breakfast offered each morning were highlights that definitely helped balance out the less-than-ideal aspects of our room. All in all, we had a nice stay, though some improvements to the room's functionality would make it a truly exceptional experience.

What invariably makes any experience stand out is the people one encounters during that experience and every time we stay at The London our experience always stands out because of the people who work there. And the staff here is amazing- from the efficient,helpful and friendly valets, maids, restaurant/bar and front desk staff to the managerial staff they all make us feel like we are among friends and that makes any stay in a hotel a great experience. This time we stayed in the Royal Vista Suite (ninth floor) but have stayed in the various suites during our times here. The suites are all wonderfully appointed and large (700 plus sq ft) and the bathrooms make you feel like you are in a luxurious Roman Spa. The Rooftop pool with panoramic views of all of LA is one of our favorite pools. The food at all venues was delicious including the buffet breakfast. Our favorites were the Hamburger with fries, the skirt steak and the sushi. And I would be remiss, if I didn't mention the great location to everything. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to Los Angeles! I wouldn't stay anywhere else. And as someone who loves bookstores, The London is a 4 minute walk to Book Soup on Sunset.

We booked this room to do glam for an actress attending a premiere. We called twice the day before to request early check in and were told that they would have the room ready by 1pm. We arrive at 2pm thinking we had allotted much need time to prepare the room. The room was not ready at all. We had a whole team of people waiting in the lobby to get into the room to start working in order to have the actress out of the door by 5pm. They finally place us in an alternative room that is a downgrade from the original room they reserved from us. We step into the room it is smothering hot inside so we turn on the AC. The whole AC system is broken. So we call maintenance to come and fix the problem. Basically we had two men from maintenance working on the AC the entire time we were getting ready. This is a team full of women with two men just there in our private space. The AC never worked even after they said it would. We had three fans brought it to cool the room down. I called down to dining to ask for plates and napkins they said it would be 35 minutes for them to just bring me plates and napkins. I never ordered food at all just need plates. The next day when we get ready to check out I call downstairs to request a bell man and to valet to get my car prepare for our departure. We again wait and wait and wait and no one ever comes to grab our bags. So we lug all of our things downstairs only to find the car is no where to be found. The valet remembers that I called and runs to get the car when the car comes my electric cover is twisted and raised. It look like it had been hit. I ask the valet what is this and why is it like that. He quickly goes inside my car to lower it and when it closes it doesn’t close flush with the rest of my car. I was so pirated by the whole experience of paying this amount of money to be treated so poorly, I just wanted to leave.

We were visiting LA for the first time and my husband wanted to be near the Sunset Strip where the Viper Room, Whisky A Go Go, Rainbow Room, etc were located. I stumbled upon The London and compared it to all other options in the area, it blew them all away. The Valets were above and beyond our expectations. The location was 10 out of 10... a brief walk from the Whisky (2-5 minutes). We were also able to walk to Santa Monica Blvd from the hotel, it was about a 10-20 minute walk depending on pace. The room was unique to any other that we've stayed in. It was very clean and 100% FREE of bed bugs (yes we always check). And I have very high cleanliness standards. The bathroom was surprisingly large, including a huge tub and shower fit with rain shower head, standard shower head on the opposite side plus a super convenient handheld. Plenty of options for all shower preferences. There was also more than ample water pressure. There was a ginormous balcony that overlooked the Hollywood Hills and downtown, it was especially gorgeous at night. The room contained both a vanity area as well as desk and coffee table, which gave me multiple options for makeup and getting dressed, loved that! The staff were exceedingly courteous and professional. My husband lost his credit card in the elevator where one of the staff found and turned it in to the front desk. They immediately called our room to let us know they'd found it. I can't thank The London enough for that and for the amazing room, service and stay that we experienced. You made our first LA trip more memorable.

EXCELLENT PLACE!!!! I took my wife and son here and we had a great stay! I will go back every time I come to town. The food was great. The early morning breakfast is definitely worth adding onto your booking reservation bc the value is tremendous. Valet parking was super fast and the other guests were so respectful. I love the LONDON!!!

Location is excellent for that Sunset Strip experience, and the rooftop pool area is fun with fantastic views. Breakfast ( included ) was a treat with plenty of fresh bakery and brunch style items. Beware valet parking ( expensive ) is almost mandatory as parking spaces in this area are almost non existent.
A nice touch is a car and driver available to drop guests at locations around the West Hollywood area.

Nice, spacious and clean rooms offering great views over the city. Good continental breakfast with a lot of options to get you ready for the day. Very friendly and helpful staff. So why just 3 stars? The hotel seems to be attracting customers with a passion to smoke weed anywhere, from the pool area to their own balcony, even though strictly forbidden. The smell (which we just can‘t stand) get‘s sucked in by the A/C and thus it frequently happened that we woke up in the night to find ourselves in what smelled like a coffee shop in Amsterdam. The constant smoking also led to the balcony doors being opened and closed frequently, which can be heared very well at night time even if you‘re 3 floors higher up. So, from our point of view, this hotel should be enforcing its own rules towards their customers… the smell is present also in the hallways, so everybody knows. And we‘re 100% sure that the cleaning staff notices it the second they enter these rooms. As always, just our 2 cents - and may be we were just unlucky with the time of our visit and this experience was an outlier.

The hotel, a corner of Britain (in keeping with its name) is a surprising find in that most American of cities, LA. There is a Union Jack fluttering on the property and a few strategically placed bulldog models (to highlight the "bulldog spirit"). The drive from LA airport (getting to a taxicab at LAX is among the most exasperating experience) is short and while there is little of Hollywood, the hotel has its charms. The terrace restaurant served up a perfectly serviceable lunch and I swam in the pool in the morning when it was mercifully empty. The concierge in the hotel could not have been more helpful, with tips on the best museums (Getty, free entry) and the best way to get there (Lyft/Uber). The breakfast, complimentary for some guests, was adequate and we found a nice Italian restaurant within walking distance to take the nephew out to, at night. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Nothing to fault the experience.

I have stayed at several Hollywood area and Los Angeles proper hotels over the years and this was by far the best experience thus far. The property is certainly on the smaller side but it makes up for that in accommodations and service.
The rooms are about double the size of the average hotel and the balconies offer beautiful views of the landscape. One of my favorite aspects of the room was the double shower. The shower easily fits two people and has two types of shower heads, one on each side of the shower.
The one bar/restaurant had a decent offering but none of the food was particularly standout. The bartender was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had access to the types of drinks they wanted including going to backstop to find bottles.
Lastly I will add that the valet team was phenomenal. Over the last year I have had many dismal valet experiences at hotels and parking garages. Lately it seems the blame is put on staffing shortages. The London had a full team of valet staff that were happy and quick to have the car ready.

Hi. They do have services for laundry and pressing. However, as with all "hotel services" it is a bit more then if you were to use a local service. The hotel is fantastic. Enjoy your stay.
