Exceptionally located on Sunset Strip, you can walk to a variety of excellent restaurants and entertainment venues. The Best Western Plus provides very comfortable, clean accomodations at a reasonable price, even with the daily charge for parking in the hotel garage. The hotel has a very pretty pool area. Complimentary breakfast is a nice amenity. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is better than “best” western. The staff is awesome, from front desk to housekeeping. The setting is beautiful, the location in perfect for Sunset Boulevard. My family came with me and we were in rooms next to each other. I didn’t ask for that, they just figured that out. For the $, it cannot be beaten!

We stayed for 3 days at the Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza in W Hollywood, and could not have choosen a better option for our needs.
The hotel is easily accessible from LAX by rental car and has its own parking garage for 29 $/day (which is o.k. for LA) with elevator directly to the lobby. It is well located between Beverly Hills and Hollywood Blvd with restaurants / burgers nearby. Opposite from the hotel was a stop from the HopOnHopOff bus which we used for the first day, which was very convenient (tickets were available at the lobby).
The room was spacious and clean, with a large bathroom, and very quiet. The hotel also had a small and nicely made pool area, and from the breakfast room on the 4th floor one had a quiet good view over Los Angeles. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all requests we had. The hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast which generally is nice but was also the only downside, as it is all served with plastic/paper plates, knives, cups etc, no tableware, and many food items individually packed in plastics, so that one ends up with a huge heap of mixed waste at the end of breakfast (unfortunately, this is quite common in US hotels, and one thing I really would like to see changed, as it hurts our environment), which to us is rather substandard.
But other than that all was very enjoyable, and we would choose this hotel again if coming back to LA.

Hotel in a good location but in need of some updating. A “Big Bus Tour” stop right across the street. The receptionists are not welcoming. We stayed 4 nights in this hotel. We told the receptionist 3 times that we did not have shower gel in our bathroom and no one ever came to leave some. Cleaning is on request even though it should be done every day as it is included in the price $$$ The room is large enough for 4 with a view of the swimming pool. Small kitchenette with a very useful fridge. Creaking floor. Parking is $29.

Magnificent stay, very comfortable hotel with an exceptional location (taking into account that in Los Angeles the distances are very great), spacious room, with a very comfortable bed, comfortable and well-equipped bathroom, good breakfast, with the basics and also included something fantastic because it is not usually common, rooms without any noise perfect for a good rest, a beautiful little garden with a swimming pool (we did not use it) surrounded by little balconies with flowers, highlighting above all the kindness and magnificent attention of the two people from reception (I don't remember their names) two Latin gentlemen (they were there in the morning, in August which is when we went), with whom any Spanish-speaking person who does not speak English well can communicate, friendly and always willing to facilitate anything If requested, room cleaning at the moment must be requested at reception if you want it to be done daily as was our case and without any problem. If we return to Los Angeles we will definitely not stay again. Highly recommended

This definitely wasn't the best place we stayed on our California road trip, but perhaps it offered reasonable value for money in LA. We were grateful they let us check in early, the parking is costly, but is really easy to use / find, and the self-service laundry is handy too. The room was ok and quiet at night, but could get very hot. The air con barely seemed to make a difference - I dread to think how it would feel in summer. I suspect this is a good location to base yourself, the plaza area outside is busy but seemed very safe compare to other areas and has lots of food and drinks options. The complimentary breakfast was not very good unfortunately, options were limited and seemed cheap.

I’ve stayed here before. It is a hotel that hasn’t changed much, designed intentionally to suggest old established. It is well placed, comfortable, quiet, and although expensive, it is a good option compared to the astronomical prices charged by other hotels close by. Breakfast could be healthier. Parking has to be paid for, too ( $29per night) The cleanliness is exemplary, and the cleaning work their socks off. We had a mix up on check in (my fault), and the staff showed great professionalism. They upgraded us to a balcony suite, ( full price $429 +tax+parking…see my photos and decide yourself if it’s worth it for you ) for the price of the room we booked, and gave us a discounted rate for our second night. The room was big, with spectacular views of the city at night. They treated us well. Downside? The rooms are depressingly brown, brown and more brown……why not give guests colour?

My husband and I recently had a 3 night stay at this hotel. It is in a convenient location on Sunset Boulevard, we used the underground car park for the duration of our stay ($29 a night) and then used Ubers to get everywhere. We stayed in room 201. The bedroom was very spacious with a huge comfortable bed, a safety deposit box and a beautiful and modern bathroom. The room they serve breakfast in is very small so be prepared to either wait for a table and share with a stranger, or take your breakfast up to your room to eat. It was disappointing considering it is such a busy hotel you would expect the breakfast service to be much better, and there was not a great selection of options. The hotel has a small gym and an outdoor swimming pool (not heated). The staff were all friendly enough and helped with any queries we had. You have to request room service each morning, it is not automatically given. The building itself is quite quaint and pretty which is different to most buildings you see in LA. The free WiFi is really fast speed. We felt the price we paid for our stay was very reasonable and the only thing I can fault is the breakfast.

Terrible hotel, extremely dated, shaky carpet, windows overlooking a wall because the floors of some rooms (or maybe all, who knows!?..) are underground; not to mention the noises that could be heard from the rooms above due to the very low ceiling, it almost seemed as if they were "falling into the room". Breakfast???? Never seen a breakfast without chocolate creams or with poor quality jams, lots of bagged things, and then American style?? Two eggs and two sausages…oh well, let's overlook it!! The room is not cleaned, when I complained about it, I was told that "room service" had to be requested, well after having done so, when I returned to the room in the evening, the room was exactly the same; the only good thing that was done to us by the person who checked us out was that instead of making us pay for three nights of parking ($29 per night, which by the way the one who checked us in instead- without even letting us finish speaking she immediately credited them to us, but oh well... she only made us pay one for the inconvenience and at least she apologised. Not recommended at all!!

My friends and I planned a trip to visit LA for the first time ever. For context, we are college students from Minnesota, so this was a very exciting trip for us. We were working with a tight budget, so we made a reservation at the cheapest hotel we could find. Upon arriving at our hotel, we quickly realized we would not feel comfortable there.
A quick google search later, we found Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza Hotel. We made our way over to see if they had any openings for 5 guests. We were greeted by Augusto (I hope I spelled his name correctly!) who immediately treated us with kindness and addressed our concerns about safety. He even gave us spot recommendations and explained our room options, highlighting the different price points and considerations for comfort. Very Pleased, we immediately booked our new rooms.
Unfortunately, our trip was cut short due to the fires going on. However, in the chaos of it all, Augusto (staff) was so very helpful and accommodating. We had to cancel the reservation we never got to use. While we never got to stay at this beautiful hotel, we know EXACTLY where we’ll be staying for when we come back for a visit!
