It is, like everyone says, an older motel that is being updated. Big rooms, and nothing wrong about it. Nothing much right about it either, but it's a place to put one's head for an evening for not a lot of money.
But it's the best in Sharbot Lake -- because there really isn't much else.
There is a microwave and a small bar fridge. They will also give you a coffee maker but you need to ask. The television worked fine.
We had to change rooms after two days (the room next to us had noisy guests) and all they had was a room with two double beds. The room was exactly in the same shape as the previous room. Clean but needing repairs and updating.
We stay here because we have family nearby but I certainly wouldn't recommend it unless you need to be in Sharbot Lake. That being said, the owners/managers were very helpful and courteous and I would certainly agree with others that they are doing their very best with a very run down property.
Not so good: Front of motel looks funky which gives you a not so good feeling. Restaurant not open late or early, so went across street to little burger joint which was fine. No screens on huge windows and when they were open (so we could hear the beautiful loon calling across the water) the skeeters got in. Beds a bit hard and wanted a light blanket -- comforter too hot, sheet alone too cold. A/C works well but wow is it noisy.
This is a good place and with just a bit more effort could be very good.
So, the rooms are not COVID clean, I actually spent the first day cleaning the room as I had no choice but to stay for 7 days, the wifi was unacceptable for the first two days but was fixed and I was able to get some work done. The beds are very uncomfortable and the bedding is very old. This Inn is extremely run down, and they are charging hotel prices without any benefits of a hotel. I found it overpriced. However , the view of the lake is breathtaking and the food was fantastic , the owner Sandra was wonderfully accommodating and very friendly. This place is set up for out of town workers ( men) , housekeeping needs to be improved.

Thanks Sandra!
